Thinking about an AU where Mobei clan leaders get soulmates

Like when they do the whole king ascension thing, their demon mark appears on their soulmate, and a part of the reason Mobei Jun took Shang Qinghua down is because he just knew it would be him

He watches as Linguang-Jun is defeated and SQH turns to him, the mark having appeared on his forehead, a perfect mirror to Mobei Jun’s, only for SQH to tell him how badly his demon courtship has been failing and then leave

Like he just got confirmation that the person he’s loved for the majority of his life is his soulmate, and they can now get married, only for said soulmate to go on about how badly he’s been hurting them over the years and leave.

And poor SQH in some inn somewhere trying to cover this mark with tears in his eyes because, how can he possibly be Mobei’s soulmate when Mobei has been beating him and treating him like an expendable servant all these years

And when linguang Jun find him and he calls for Mobei, and then makes his demands, Mobei gives a very emotionally stunted apology and admits to his anger at SQH leaving and at having been yelled at by SQQ when binghe came to find out what tf was going on w the closed borders

Then SQH does what he does and talks the both of them to an understanding, and they live happily ever after, hurt/comfort style :)

(And get a big giant northern wedding ofc, with no small amount of binghe trying to figure out how to soulmate-trap SQQ like the man isn’t already his husband)

Once again, I need help tracking down a Hualian fic. I really need to start bookmarking these.

It’s a modern day omegaverse fic.

Heres the premise: Hua Cheng and Xie lian become bonded right before HC has to leave on a trip.

Because they’re both dumb, they don’t realize an Omega shouldn’t be separated from an Alpha immediately after bonding. Xie Lian goes into a distressed state. Mu Qing tries to help take care of him. XL doesn’t want to jeopardize HCs business trip, so he tells MQ not to call him. XL gets worse. Feng Xin finds out. He calls HC furious he rejected XL after bonding with him. HCs panics realizing what has happened and runs back to shower XL with love.

Does that sound familiar to anyone?

The Irony about Amen's Fear of Pain is so crazy to me

Spoilers!!

Now I'm not the biggest fan of Amen but this update really proved that he's much more than the typical "red flag LI." People who romance him are right when they say he's a complex character and here's why:

Amen's quest for revenge against Shesmu ironically makes him a persecutor of his own kind, as he is one himself.

Amen's fear of deep, soul crushing pain contrasts sharply with his ability to inflict such pain on others without hesitation. His actions reflect a projection of his own fears, suggesting that he tortures others to cope with or mask his internal vulnerabilities.

The duality of Amen's attitude toward torture relishing the emotional reaction but disliking the physical messiness adds a layer of irony. It reflects a separation of his actions, where he disconnects his empathy from the cruelty he enacts.

Amen's fixation on avenging his parents perpetuates a cycle of violence and suffering, turning him into a mirror of the very killers he despises. The irony is that, in seeking justice, he becomes a source of injustice and pain himself.
