Here's this week's monster posting. I decided that this year would be the year where I branch out into different monsters, along with learning anatomy, so here's a more upper body musculature study. I'm still learning so sorry for any anatomy problems. Or foreshortening probs for that matter. I'm also trying to learn that... So much to learn, feels like so little time....

So for all those who know next to nothing about me: I love bugs. Specifically preying mantis and dragonflies cause they are badasses. I’ve been feeling a little bit of art block lately with drawing humans and doing more experimentation into color and digital art, so I wanted to go back to my comfort zone for a bit. This is the result after looking at a whole bunch of “creepy crawlies” that I love so damn much. I will probably add some lazy colors to this at some point just cause I’m starting to somehow enjoy the struggle of it?? Nothing better than a little pain and suffering right? Inktober 2018 Day 3

“Roasted”

No india ink on this one either, but I was just too tired to actually get a cup of water and pour out some ink. At least I’m still on top of this so far. I refuse to fail!

Another dude I made but using this weird watercolor ink stuff. Unfortunately its not waterproof like my india ink so I had to work around that aspect and work with any of the color bleeds. Still, was pretty fun to do and I enjoy the result. Might do a similar design like this again, but with gold and yellow inks instead. We shall see. Gotta get my hands on some of those colors tho, cause the brown and green seen here are a gift from my bestie.

I love how this beauty turned out. First time I was able to do just linework too without wanting to shade some bits. Gah I just love this piece so much, I wanna do another one like it already, even though it was kinda a pain figuring out how all of those veils should go. 10/10 would do again though. Who knows, I might just ink it and color it one day. I'm excited for the future!

“Breakable”

How in the hell did I forget to post this one?? Its one of my faves from this whole inktober project. As soon as I saw the prompt, I thought of teeth and how they are breakable in the right conditions. That and I remembered my puppy breaking one of his puppy canines as he was teething. Silly stupid pup. Gotta love them.

Finally some more art to post that wont get flagged by the nsfw censors XD ive been having a blast with some friends i met through 1999 and we have been enabling each other. One such thing was drawing my Drifter in biker attire. Im working on coloring it, but have the lines for now. I just feel like I haven't seen that many drifters in biker attire.

If you are a biker and you see some things wrong with his garb, no you didnt. Im not going for total accuracy here.
