Knights Of Favonius: Are You Lying?

Knights of Favonius: Are you lying?

Venti: That depends on how you define lying.

Knights of Favonius: Well I define it as not telling the truth, how do you define it?

Venti:

Venti: ... reclining your body in a horizontal position.

Knights of Favonius: Get out of here.

Venti: That’s fair.

I REQUEST MORE OF THE FOUND FAMILY STUFF

Yes! More found family stuff for you! Love you, friendship! And I love this family so much!!! :D

Jerza + Wendy: Found Family

Father-Daughter Dance:

“Now that we’re done with that job we can stay for the festival, right?” Wendy gasped, clasping her hands together. Around the three mages, the town was preparing for a big festival for the following day. Jellal glanced over at Erza who nodded with a small smile.

“Well,” he said, scratching the back of his head as they moved on towards their little inn. “I don’t see why not.”

“I heard they’ll have really good desserts,” Erza said, taking Jellal’s hand in hers. Jellal entwined their fingers offering her a smile.

“I heard they have dancing!” Wendy beamed. Around them lights and garlands were being strung up. Tomorrow the town would look completely different. “And maybe I’ll find someone to talk to! My favorite part of jobs out of town is meeting new people. It’s always good to make new friends!” She skipped ahead of them. Erza leaned against Jellal’s arm.

“Are you going to tell her?” She smiled.

“Tell her what?” He sighed, “That I… I care about her like she was my own daughter?”

“Yes,” Erza nodded. “Exactly that. You know I’ve said it. I think it’s your turn.”

“You know I feel that way, but it’s not that easy. What if… what if she doesn’t feel that way at all? What if I’m just like some guy or…?”

“Jellal,” Erza laughed. “I promise… you’re not just ‘some guy.’” Her expression softened, and Jellal leaned in close to brush a kiss to her lips. “You’re going to put it off again, aren’t you?” She smiled. He didn’t respond.

***

“Ah! The lights are so pretty!” Wendy gasped. It was only sunset, but the streets were already brightly lit with all the decorative lights. Food stands and market stalls filled one street, games in another, and down in the square were dozens of dancers. It reminded her some of the festivals in Magnolia. There were some girls that looked about Wendy’s age at the edge of the suare where all the dancing was taking place. A live band was to the side, under the eaves of the old inn. Wendy made her way to where the girls stood. One was blonde, the other with dark red hair—which made Wendy think of Erza. As she approached, the blonde haired girl looked up.

“You’re the wizard girl,” she said.

          “Yes!” Wendy beamed, “I’m Wen—”

“We know,” the red haired girl shrugged, crossing her arms. “What kind of girl your age joins a wizard guild anyways?”

“My mother says guilds are for drunk men and girls with nothing good to do.”

“That’s not true!” Wendy gasped, “My guild is like family!”

“Why?” The girl with blonde hair scoffed, “Don’t you have a real family?”

A real family? Wendy’s heart dropped. Like… a mom and a dad? She wished she did have that. Grandeeney had always been like a mother to her, but she had been gone for a long time now and… A thought crossed Wendy’s mind. Erza. But she shook it away. “The guild is my family!” She protested.

The girls laughed. “You’re an orphan? Did your parents abandon you?”

“You weren’t good enough for them?!”

Wendy felt tears welling up in her eyes. Why were they being so cruel?! The announcer near the musicians was announcing a new dance.

“The father-daughter dance!” The blonde girl gasped, clapping her hands. “We should find our dads!”

“The other girl glanced over at Wendy, “You should find yours too! Oh… wait…” she burst into giggles again, but her laughter was suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice—dripping with rage—as someone stepped into view out of the corner of Wendy’s eyes.

“Her father is right here.” Her eyes shot up to see him: Jellal! Her heart grew lighter as  he rested a hand on her shoulder. The mage looked furious, with such fire in his expression that the two girls stumbled backwards and then ran without so much as another question. “Wendy?” Jellal crouched down to meet her eyes, “Are you alright?”

She nodded. What did he say? Had he said he was her father? It was just to get the girls to leave me alone.

“I was just coming to find you when I heard the announcement,” he smiled a little, around them the music was starting again. “I was wondering if you… wanted to dance…” She felt tears welling up in her eyes.

“Yes!” She smiled, beaming up at him. He gently pulled her out to the dance floor, holding both her hands. He spun her around once or twice and she found herself laughing, her tears finally gone. But before the dance had ended Jellal paused, letting out a sigh, his smile disappearing.

“Wendy,” he said, letting out a deep sigh.

          “What’s wrong?”

“I want you to know that…” he took in a breath, “I was serious about what I said to those girls.”

“About…” she frowned, trying to process it. “About…?” She felt tears filling her eyes again. About being my father?

“You’re… you’re like a daughter to me…” She couldn’t help herself. She burst into tears. Jellal was completely bewildered. “I… I’m sorry… I overstepped…” Wendy threw her arms around his middle, sobbing into his coat.

“No!” she gasped, hugging him as tight as she could. “I’ve never had a dad and… If I were to choose one, you would be it.” Jellal crouched down pulling her tight into his embrace. She clutched his coat. Beside them someone else stood, resting her hand gently on Jellal’s shoulder.

“Is everything alright?” Erza whispered. Wendy glanced up, grabbing Erza’s hand and pulling her down so she could hug them both.

“I just love my family,” she sobbed. “I love you both so much.”

I WANT MORE FOUND FAMILY STUFF PLEASE SINCE I LOVE IT SO MUCH

Ahhhhh, mom, I’m sorry it took so long!!! I hope you enjoy this little bit with babyyyyyy. I know it’s short, but I had to write this little scene! The next one will have to be longer, ofc!!!

I hope you don’t mind I used a little OC I came up with a while ago for Jerza’s son.

Love ya!

Jerza, Found Family: Keon

“It’s alright,” Jellal said, gently resting his hand on Wendy’s shoulder. She paused before the doorway, expression unreadable.

“What if… he doesn’t like me?”

Jellal shook his head, “That’s impossible. You’re wonderful, and you’re going to be an amazing big sister. He’ll love you.”

She glanced up at Jellal with wide eyes. “Okay. I want to meet him.”

“Of course you do,” Jellal nodded. He grabbed hold of the door handle and gently swung open his bedroom door. Wendy stepped in slowly, Jellal following behind her closely. Erza was leaning back against the headboard of the bed, arms wrapped around a little bundle her eyes focused on their son—the little boy she had brought into the world not long before. She looked exhausted, but so beautiful. Jellal knew Erza was strong, knew Erza was brave… but never in his life had he been this proud of her.

Jellal moved around Wendy to sit next to his wife, pressing a kiss to her temple, and glancing down at their son. He was fast asleep, little mouth hanging open. Jellal pressed a soft kiss to his head—against a soft tuft of purple hair. Then he turned to glance up at Wendy, and gestured for her to join them.

The young girl hesitated before sitting down on the edge of the bed, peering over at her baby brother with wide eyes. “He’s… so little…” she whispered.

“Your baby brother,” Erza said, her voice hoarse, she smiled, “Do you want to hold him?”

        “M-me?!” Wendy gasped. “I… I don’t know…”

“Here,” Jellal gently adjusted her arms, “You’ll do great and we’re right here. He’s your baby brother after all… you should at least say hello, right?”

“Right…” Wendy paused a look of determination crossing her face. “Alright, I’m ready!”

Erza sat up, the baby stirred but didn’t wake as his mother gently passed him into Wendy’s arms. The young dragon slayer’s eyes widened, she glanced up at Jellal in awe. “He’s so light!” She beamed down at the baby boy, “He’s so little!!!” She was absolutely entranced, her eyes filled with excitement. All worry was gone. The baby stirred, little hands flailing, his mouth opening in a tiny yawn—his nose scrunching, his eyes shut tight. Wendy let out a laugh, “He’s so cute!”

“You might not always think so,” Jellal warned, but he couldn’t shake the smile off his own face. Wendy glanced up, offended.

“Of course, I will! He’s my baby brother!” She looked back down at the little bundle in her arms. “I’m going to teach you all sorts of great things, Keon. Cool magic… all about the guild… maybe I’ll share all of my good secrets,” she smirked, “Like where mom and dad think they ‘hide’ the cookies.” She looked back up at Jellal with a grin and then blinked in surprise, “Oh… mom fell asleep.”

Jellal turned a little to glance at his wife—to see her fast asleep against the pillows. Her mouth was slightly open, her hair disheveled, but she was so beautiful. “We should let her sleep,” Jellal murmured, “She’s been through a lot.”

        “Right!” Wendy nodded.

“Why don’t you go make some tea, I’ll make sure she’s comfortable, and we’ll sit with Keon out in the living room?” Jellal smiled. The dragon slayer nodded again as Jellal gently lifted Keon into his arms. Wendy skipped back out into the hall, and Jellal turned to his wife.

“You’re so brave,” he murmured, leaning forward to a press a kiss to her forehead. “I love you, Erza.”

A Childe X Lumine Fanfiction

Rating : Not Rated

Tags : Psychological, Mild Angst, Character Death

----

During moments of utter silence, Childe recalls that which Lumine once told him about a book she had read from a far away land.

"It is of utmost importance that those who seek to fight monsters must not become one in the process."

He likes to think that perhaps, by mentioning it, she had once hoped that he would be reminded of his main aspiration—to conquer the world that is, and not to simply bathe in the blood of his enemies.

It has its merits, he admits—for he finds himself fighting alongside her during the turning point of the war, the darkness in him dampened by the white light she emits—cleansing the corruption that has resided in him for the longest time.

This too though, reminds him of another of her words.

"The deep dark abyss—stare for too long and it would stare back to those who dare."

It is true, for he knows that ever since he dropped down that hole in the world, he emerged as a monster that is only tamed by bloodshed.

And from the moment he knew Lumine, perhaps by her as well.

He has always carried a portion of that so-called abyss, feeling its vines wrapping inside his very being. He is a monster, that much is true, but tamed as one can be, he became a tool under her commands.

He does not care, for it is times with her when the whispers of the dark become muted—turned into nothing but echoes of the past.

"Childe? Breakfast?"

The man spies her slender form by the doorframe of his bedroom, sees her domestically ushering his sleepy person into the kitchen and he feels as though he had achieved that which he desires, with her by his side.

To conquer the world.

They did. They won. And it was all that he could ask for.

Celestia is no more. The abyss is no more. It is just him, Lumine and the rest of the world.

He smiles as he sits down at the table, reaching for her hand as she places the bowl of steaming Calla Lily Seafood Soup before him.

"Oh, my favorite. What's the occasion, girlie?"

"Mhm, nothing in particular. Just wanted to cook something special for you." she smiles back and he thinks he saw the glimmer of stars beyond her eyes.

Or perhaps it was nothing but an illusion, masking the deeper end of the void he is familiar with—if such end even existed.

Childe shakes his head for he believes that that is not the case. Lumine is here with him. And the abyss is no more. It is no more.

And if the calling of that dark bud inside him grows too strong anyhow, he knows she is here to defeat it for him.

For she is also perhaps a monster in her own rights.

--☆☆☆--

The bags under his eyes, and the haunted looks in his face tell everyone that he is far from recovered but everytime someone comes to ask him how he is faring, he will do nothing but face them with a smile before answering.

"I'm very much fine! Lumine takes good care of me."

If there were curious glances sent his way, he does not care. They must be seething inside—jealous that it was him who conquered her heart by the end of it all.

The savior and the reformed harbinger.

What a perfect love story—great as a tale to pass down from generations to generations. He sighs at the thought.

"Childe, pardon my query but I must ask—how have you truly been?"

He already lost count of how many times the same question had been asked of him.

He stops walking—to face the former Geo Archon a few steps behind.

"I do not understand why everyone keeps on asking the same question. I already told you i'm fine, didn't I?"

Oh how he hates it when they ask—as if they were doubting his princess' ability to care for him, for it was her who has been on his bed, in his kitchen, in his very house ever since the world achieved true peace.

They do not understand just how capable Lumine is.

And they will never know, if he has anything to say.

"Though we are but friends, I must express my deep concern. The dips on your cheeks beg to differ from that which you uttered."

The blue in his eyes shift into something malicious, to that belonging to the beast he keeps inside.

"With all due respect, Mr. Zhongli. I do not appreciate the implications of what you just said. You asked and I answered." He pauses.

The abyss is no more for Lumine is with him.

"I shall be going now. My wife is waiting for me at home."

As he walks away, he ignores the burning gaze on his back. It's fine. That former god does not matter.

What matters is him and Lumine while the rest of the world could go crash and burn, he thinks.

--☆☆☆--

"Tough day at work?"

Childe sidles up to her side, wrapping an arm around the apron-covered waist of his beloved. He kisses her temple with reverence—for it is what she deserves.

"Not really. It was just Mr. Zhongli. And others. Being annoyingly repetitive as always." He grumbles, tucking her head under his chin.

The small hand resting atop his chest tightens against his clothes.

"Do they... not approve of me?" She asks almost inaudibly.

He was quick to deny the preposterous thought.

"Don't listen to them. They do not matter, girlie."

Childe feels her shift and he looks down at her.

Golden pools decorated by the glittering of stars—of tears, he realizes, meet his abyssal depths.

"Are you... are you going to leave me?"

He brushes the hair out of her forehead and tucks the strays behind her ears before promptly brushing away the tears that cascaded from her eyes.

"Never. You are mine, Lumine. As much as I am yours."

Even the sweetest wine cannot compare to the smile that adorns her face after his declaration. She buries her head on his chest once more, arms crossing behind him, bestowing him with nothing else but warmth.

Childe thinks for a second, that this moment is perhaps the best there is in the world. And he knows he is ruined for anything else.

It is impossible to feel anything akin to this feeling and he strongly believes that the desire to even experience it from others aside his princess does not exist anymore.

--☆☆☆--

The sound of deliberate knocking at the door rouses the harbinger from his sleep. Childe growls in annoyance at whoever is behind that piece of wood as he untangles his limbs from the goddess laying beside him.

He kisses the top of her head before deciding to rise and check who their visitor is.

He stills when the one in front of his humble abode makes himself known.

Zhongli, of course.

"Mr. Zhongli, why the early visit?"

The man only hums before crossing his arms, pinning him with a serious gaze.

"May I come in, Childe?"

"Ah, of course."

He lets him in and ushers the former archon to the couch. Upon sitting, the latter immediately scans his surroundings with vague concern in his eyes.

"I must say, your house is surprisingly empty and devoid of life, Childe."

"What do you mean? I think it's pretty homey. Lumine designed it by herself when she first got here."

A frown makes its way to the other man's lips.

"Childe, can we talk?"

He stiffens, tone changing into a defensive one.

"We are talking, are we not?" He spats.

"Why don't you ask Lumine to come down here with us?"

He summons one of his water blades.

"Why exactly are you here, Zhongli?"

"Call Lumine, Childe."

In a flash, the water blade comes in contact with the polearm that materialized in front of the visitor.

"Why. Are. You. Here?" He asks, hostile in every way as he accents each word with a swing of his blade—all thankfully parried.

"I need you to understand, Childe." Zhongli calls forth a jade shield that rattled even the sturdy walls of the other man's home.

A water spear slams against the shield.

"That Lumine..."

Yet another side step, perfectly timed to avoid the beast cloaked in water suddenly crackling with electricity.

"Stop it!" It yells.

But Zhongli is not known for being gentle. The wrath of the rock and the harsh truth—both must be laid out for him to save the monster disguised as a man.

"Is no longer with us."

A beat passes.

"She's gone, Childe. And you must accept that fact."

"No!"

And like that, the man surges forward with the fury enough to fuel wars.

The walls crumble and the terrified shrieks of townsfolk in the immediate vicinity sound off but Childe could no longer care.

Him and Lumine. The rest of the world does not matter.

His mind goes blank with nothing but white hot anger, and he brandishes his weapon with renewed vigor.

"Take it back." He quietly demands, voice distorted.

Instead of complying, multiple stone steles rise up from the pavement, obscuring the two men from prying eyes.

"Everyone grieves for her departure, I assure you. We are hurt as much as you are." A water blade makes contact with the archon's cheek and he winces as response, "but she chose to sacrifice herself for this world's peace and she will not be happy if she sees you rotting away to your demise, Childe."

"You—you don't know anything! Do not lie! Lumine..." A crack in his composition and Zhongli is quick to take advantage of it.

All at once, like a puppet with strings cut off, Childe falls forward when Zhongli's polearm strikes down his chest. The accumulated hunger and fatigue from weeks of barely holding on to her memory suddenly come crashing down upon his person.

Empty plates and sweet nothings.

Cold bed and pristine kitchen.

Unused scarf with the color of the skies and the clouds—like the view he's witnessing right now.

Stare into the abyss, and it stares back at you—its remnants staying within, slowly consuming that which it latches on to.

The abyss is no more—or so he believes.

"Lumine... she promised me." he whispers into the wind.

The rustling of cloth distracts him from his thoughts.

"Do not lean too close to that edge, Childe. I beg you, not as your friend, but as Lumine's—please, do stay with us."

Before his eyes closed, he heard the call from the deep dark abyss of the waters.

The sea is calm. And he couldn't care less about the rest of the world.

Him and Lumine, he thinks. Him and Lumine.

The Gift

Genshin Impact: Diluc X Jean

In the master bedroom at the Dawn Winery Manor laid a woman with blonde hair. She was sleeping on her side, and the thick blankets were up over her shoulders. It was so late in the evening and the woman was in deep sleep and so when the door creeks open, she did not even stir one bit.

A figure walks across the chamber quietly. It was a male and he seemed familiar with the room. The thick coat over his shoulders looking like it was weighing him down too much that it was difficult to walk.

He unclasps his coat and tossed it on a chair with a thud. The woman in bed stirs at the sound for a second but doesn’t wake from it. He places his claymore near the empty side of the bed. He sat on the chair where he placed his coat and unties his boots. He soon undresses and changes into comfortable sleepwear. He tiptoes to the bed, his red eyes gazing fondly at the familiar blonde head.

He gets into the bed and under the sheets, but his added weight caused the sleeping blonde to stir. And he could sense that she was waking.

“I’m sorry to wake you.” He mumbles reaching her side, his chest against her back. His hand looking for her hand under the sheets. He finds her hand on top of her bulging stomach.

“Diluc.” Her voice sounded so sweet even though she was barely awake. Realizing that it was him, her grey-blue eyes slowly close again.

“How are you and our baby?” He asks as he plants a kiss on her shoulder. She pulls her hand out of his hand, and replaces it on top of his hand, brushing her thumb against his knuckles.

“We’re doing alright.” He pulls himself closer to her and he heard her soft giggle.

“How was your day?” She asked fighting her sleepiness in order to a hold conversation.

“It was exhausting.” He mumbles into her shoulder and he heard her hum faintly. “I’m glad your safe.”

“I should be saying that…” She replied faintly, failing to fight her drowsiness.

“I’m sorry, Jean.” He whispered but she was already fast asleep.

The next day, Jean the blonde woman woke up without the red headed Diluc by her side. The sun was about to come out from the horizon. She carefully got out of bed, she looked at her bed side table and saw that there was a blue shawl on top.

“Diluc must have prepared it…” She smiled softly at the thought of him carefully picking and placing the shawl there. She wears the shawl over her shoulder and gently rub her stomach.

She stands up her and white dress almost touching the wooden floor. And she walks towards the window across the bed. And she notices him outside swinging his claymore. She stood there for a long moment to admire the man swinging his sword. His red hair and his red eyes and pale skin. She loved everything about him. And now she was here, she looks around the room with fond memories of the man outside. And slowly she walked to the door.

When she reached the flight of stairs, she couldn’t help but sigh. Before she could take a step down, she hears someone call her.

“Master Jean!” Adelinde, the head maid rushed to her side from down the flight of stairs. Normally Jean should have been called lady or mistress, but Diluc had specifically instructed for Jean to be called Master. Whatever title he had, she did too.

“Adelinde, hello.” She chuckles as the maid gripped Jean’s right hand while Jean’s other hand was holding the railing.

“You should have summoned someone to assist you.” The lady in her black and white uniform said frantically. Her blonde hair was a browner than Jean’s.

“I’m pregnant, not injured.” Jean playfully rolls her eyes. And Adelinde complained under her breath. But Jean was not able to catch what she was saying because she was focused on walking down the steps.

They took their time getting down the stairs, and Jean thanked Adelinde, and insisted she didn’t need any further assistance.

“Good Morning, Master Jean.” Ernest greets.

“Good Morning to you too.”

She opens the door and steps out on the courtyard. And walks to where Diluc was, but he had sensed her meters away.

“Good Morning.” He said when she reached him. His sword no longer in his hands, but now floating behind him.

“Indeed, the morning is good.” She replied wrapping her arms around his waist. And she rested the side of her head on his shoulder.

“I’m sweaty…” He mumbles but she doesn’t budge.

After a while he said, “You must miss it…” She looks at him. “I-I took everything from you.” He whispered softly with hesitation.

And she pulled away from him with her hands on his shoulders, her brows furrowed. “Diluc…”

But he avoided her grey-blue eyes. Her face became stern and she pulled his chin to make him look at her. And there it was, the serious look of the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius or in her case—Former Acting Grand Master. The guilt weighing down on him and he found that he couldn’t look her in the eyes again.

“Diluc.” The sternness was gone, and her voice sounded hurt. His eyes flickered back at her, and his heart ache for causing her sadness.

“I’m sorry.” He apologizes and pulls her closer when she was about to pull away. And she tried to brush his hands away with weak hands as she averted his eyes. “I’m sorry.” He apologized again and leans his forehead against hers, giving her no choice but to look at him.

“I just…” He looks at her with pain in his red eyes. “If you weren’t pregnant—if you didn’t get involved with me, you would probably be the Grand Master by now…”

“Is that why you’ve been acting cold lately?” She inquires, placing her hands below his ears and he vaguely nodded.

“I took everything from you.” He says drawing her into an embrace. And she gently pushes him off of her. He looks at her both confused and hurt and she looks at him with gentle sternness and love.

“No, you did not.” She chuckles. “I married you.” And she saw the small pout on his lips.

“You didn’t get to become Grand Master because of me.” She playfully pushes him.

“I don’t know where this insecurity is coming from, but do you regret marrying me?” His eyes widened.

“No! Of course not!” An instant answer.

“And I do not too.” She leans onto his forehead. There was silence for a few minutes.

“It’s just that if you didn’t, then you could be Grand Master—wasn’t that your dream?” He finally said with a wavering voice.

“No.” She answered automatically in such a gentle tone. And he pulled his head away to look at her in wonder. “It isn’t. I thought it was. But I only became Acting Grand Master because the Grand Master was away. I took the responsibility because it was only me who was able to. It isn’t my dream.” She touches her belly.

“But this,” And she points to her and then him. “And this,” She places both her hands on her belly with a gentle gazed casted down. “Is something I really want for myself. I can finally just be me. I don’t have to worry about everyone else, I don’t have to put aside my desires because I worry about everyone’s safety. I just want to worry about our child’s now.” The sad look in Diluc’s eyes seem to lessen but Jean could tell that he still had his worries.

“It must be odd, I found it odd too. Not caring about every citizen of Mondstadt as I used to. But I finally get it when they said that having a child changes you. I still wish for everyone’s safety, but now I don’t have to work myself to death and overlook my health for everyone else’s. I can watch the grapes grow everyday and see our child grow. I can always pick up my sword after I give birth. I could still choose to fight too, and I know you won’t stop me. But I want to enjoy this moment of stillness for me. So, don’t feel like you stole everything from me, because in all honesty, you gave me everything.”

Her gentle eyes gaze at him with unhidden adoration. And he cups her cheek and he brushes his finger on her cheek and she savors the touch of a calloused hand.

“You know how-“ She struggled for the right word. “Difficult it is, to be born as a Gunnhildr, and how pressuring that was. A life without duty and responsibility was shocking at first, but now I realized what I was not able to experience because of the kind of life I lived. And for that I thank you, Diluc.”

And he nodded shyly at what she said, and she chuckled. She pulls him into a kiss, and he was startled for a moment.

“After I give birth, we have to spar.” She says as she pulled away and he laughed.

“Well, I think it will take some time for you to even beat me.” He says and playfully adds. “Not that you ever have.” She playfully rolls her eyes as she took a step away from him, a sly smile on her lips.

“Oh, ever the humble man you are.” And he laughs and takes a step closer to her.

“I do look forward on having my ass served though.” He pulls her into his chest again and she laughs.

“Then I have to train really hard to defeat the Darknight Hero.” And she hears him grunt as she leaned her head against his shoulder.

“You’re going to tell that to our children, won’t you?” He complains lightly and she laughs as she nods, her eyes closing. “Is your head aching?”

“Yeah, just a little bit.” And she felt herself being lifted off the ground. And she settles in his arms, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. When she hears his footsteps hit the stairs, she rubs her head against his neck.

“I’m glad I said yes when you told me to stay at the Winery.” Diluc pauses to open the door. “Imagine if I had stayed in Mondstadt as a Member of the Knights and worst—Acting or being the actual Grand Master. With all the stairs and stress, I’m afraid…” Her eyes were now open as she placed a hand on her stomach. He leans his head against hers.

“I think you would be able to handle it…” He mumbles absent-mindedly.

“No. I would not risk it.” And he stared at her and blinked, a soft smile.

“Of course.”

“I can walk now.” She attempts to stand but he does not let her.

“It’s okay, I can carry you.”

“No, I am fat and heavy.” She pouts playfully. Since she married, she slowly became playful and then eventually there was a playfulness that stuck to her.

“You’re not fat, your pregnant.” He chuckles and she nodded solemnly.

“Will you be leaving again?” She asks leaning into his shoulder again and he starts climbing the steps to the second floor carefully.

“I don’t know. I have left you here alone, long enough.” She pulled her head away from his shoulder and observed his face.

“Really? You’re staying?” She asks softly, afraid that she was hearing things. He had been away most of the time—and it clicked, with the conversation they just had outside.

“That’s why you kept leaving, you were picking up my workload too.” He paused hearing it, and for a moment his facial expression had the slightest hint of guilt. “I know how important protecting Mondstadt is for you, but being their protector twenty-four/ seven to make out for me not protecting it, is crazy!”

“I just—”

“No.” She twists her body as they arrived at the second floor. He conceded and put her down.

“Monstadt lost a good protector…” He says with a grim smile on his lips, and she places her hands on his shoulders.

“I’m not dead.” She deadpanned and he looks at her lovingly.

“I know, I’m sorry.” She shook her head and pulled away.

“Please, please take care of yourself.” She says walking away from him, her hands on her stomach. He stared at the figure walking away from him solemnly. He could tell she was upset and jogged to catch up to her.

“I’m sorry, I thought it was your dream. So, I wanted to keep it alive.” He says blocking her path.

“I could have died with all the workload I wanted to carry.” She looks at him grimly. “And the thing is, that would have been normal.” She sighs as she attempts to walk around him, but instead was captured by his arms.

“I’m staying.” He tells her, his red eyes sternly look at her grey-blue eyes.

“Alright.” She tries to push him away.

“Jean.” He hugs her tightly. “I’m sorry.”

“Stop apologizing.” She continues to attempt and remove herself off of his embrace. And suddenly, his lips were against hers. And unconsciously knowing that there was no one else at the second floor, a soft moan escapes from Jean. Diluc pulls her closer while deepening his kiss, and she kisses back.

“You scoundrel.” She mumbles as his lips brush her neck.

“Let me make it up to you.” He whispers by her ear and then plants a kiss on her jaw and she moans. “I can’t believe I got to marry you.”

“You said the same thing right after the wedding.” She mumbles breathlessly.

“It is an interesting turn of events.” He says matter-of-factly as he pulls away to look at her.

“And to think we almost missed one another.” She says blinking her daze away.

“Hmm…” Diluc reaches out for her belly.

“So, you’re no longer going to be running around for the Knights or Guild?” She inquires as he rubs her belly.

“No, I will send out a letter and tell them I have decided to retire for now and be a family-man and focus on making wine.” She looks at him pointedly.

“Granted, if they really, really need me, my door is begrudgingly always open.” She chuckles. “And my first duty as a family-man is—” He pulls her shawl over her shoulder too tightly. “Insisting for you to wear more warmly if you walk outside, what if you catch a cold? No wearing your sleepwear outside is just too much.” He shakes his head and she rolls her eyes.

“I was a Knight, Well, I still am just not active. I can handle a little wind.” She started to walk to their bedroom door.

“Yes, but as a Pyro user, I can do you a better job on warming you up!” She paused to look at him.

“You. You have been with Kaeya way too much.” She shook her head and proceeded to continue her walk to her bedroom.

“I thought you would be happy to know we have gotten close as of the recent.” She opens the door. “Knowing that he will have a niece or nephew, he just can’t hate me.” She sternly looks at him.

“And you know with the misunderstanding cleared out. We are on better terms.”

“Since we married, even my relationship with Barbara has improved. Honestly, marrying you really gave me a new meaning to life.” She sits down on a chair by the window and beside a table.

“I will call someone to bring us breakfast then.” And she nods closing her eyes, the headache starting again but this time accompanied by nausea.

 Author’s NOTES:

I was so upset to see so little Diluc x Jean fanfics. I couldn’t help myself!

There should be more coming your way, when time permits.

I also don’t know if this will be part of one timeline or a separate timeline.
