Honestly, the fans of Miraculous show should just not even acknowledge the canon material, come together, and make their own version of the series. Don't look at me like that, we all know we'd do a much better job.

Listen, I enjoy Hanako as a character. I do.

But if someone were to offer me a job with the promise of acting as the guy's version of J. Jonah Jameson, I'd gladly sign up because Hanako is a menace. If you read the manga you know what I'm talking about.

I don't care how cute the ship is or how much I ship it, I refuse to overlook the fact this dude was willing to just let Aoi die off if it meant Yashiro could live and the fact he refuses to tell Yashiro anything (and the fact he was complete perv for a while).

Intentional or not, he does not respect her autonomy. He does not let her genuinely make choices for herself in terms of what she thinks is best for her. He knows full well Yashiro would be against the stuff he does, that's why he doesn't tell her anything. He knows it'll hurt her or upset her in some way, but doesn't care because he assumes he knows what's best for her without bothering to ask for her consent on the matter.

It's a 'you don't know what you want, Luigi know what you want' kinda deal and it irks me at times when I truly sit down to think about it.

So you're telling me that if you had cancer that was gonna kill you off early and your boyfriend made plans behind your back to kill your best friend---a person who's supported you for years---in order to switch your conditions to keep you alive, you would NOT lose your mind? I understand he has his reasons and you're still allowed to like the ship, I clearly still do. But can we all stop acting like Hanako is an innocent angel who doesn't know what he's doing?

People complain about how Leon Kennedy (specifically in the Resident Evil 4 remake) shuts down Ashley's attempts to flirt/compliment him. Some take it as him being blunt, some take it as him not liking her, and some think he's plain dense. I personally choose to interpret it as him just trying to keep his job by not flirting with the client. He's being paid to protect, not be her boyfriend. I think most people would be hesitant to reciprocate interest in the daughter of a man who could easily order a national manhunt for your skull as he calls for secret service.

She's been kidnapped multiple times and technically enslaved as Hanako's assistant.

Ate an object belonging to a sea witch for a tail in exchange for her human legs.

Has had true love's kiss (you know the chapter I'm talking about).

And all of her problems are solved because a big strong man shows up all the time (Hanako---she's always calling him to save her).

Yashiro is a Disney Princess bro. On top of that, she is canonically a mermaid princess because the mermaid queen tried to enlist her when Yashiro wanted to know more about Hanako.

Oh that's nothing compared to the fact she literally once played a game and had a character that looked like him in it

Judge me all you want but we all know they did NOT have to make him so freaking fine. And the fact Donald Glover was cast to voice him? Just take my all of my internal organs please.
