I’m considering coming out to my family as non-binary, and so today I brought up the subject of non-binary gendering/transgendering with my Dad as a casual conversational topic. He’s told me that if somebody is born a boy then they “should stay a fucking boy” and not trans to a girl or be a boy some days/girl other days/genderless other days.

I told him that I think gender identity should be something one can choose for themselves, and he says that nobody thinks like that and anybody who is trans/non-binary will just be shunned by every member of society they meet. He doesn’t think that people support n-b/t communities, because he doesn’t. He says to me that not staying one’s natural gender is wrong and against the point of being born a boy/girl.

Every person who reblogs this will have their URL written in a full-size writing book and when it is full I will show it to my father to illustrate to him the amount of people who believe that being non-binary is a valid gender identity.

-The three will sometimes sleep separately- since Kokichi kicks a lot.

-But, they’ve got a huge bed for times when everyone’s feeling more.. tolerable.

-Shuichi and Kokichi fight over who’s in the middle 🥺💕

-“B-But, you got Kaito Cuddles last night!”

-Kaito goes on strange, mumbled rants in his sleep.. 👀 sometimes it’s clear enough for Kokichi and Shuichi to listen in.

-Kaito is always embarrassed when the pair recall his dreams in the morning 😳

-Shuichi’s dreams are.. not as pleasant. He often stirs from nightmares, ranging from a brief, startling disturbance to a full-blown panic attack.

-Kaito and Kokichi are highly skilled at soothing The Detective 😔💕

-Kaito knows how to calm Shuichi, what to say- whereas Kokichi is more there for comfort, rubbing his back, touching his hair.

-Kokichi has spells where he’ll neglect sleep for days, or is extremly restless.

-“Psst.”

-“Kaito.. ‘you awake?”

-“Kokichi.. it’s 3AM.”

-Quite opposite to Kaito and Shuichi, who take frequent naps on the couch.

-Kaito has THE BEST bedtime stories.

-There’s little, glow-in-the-dark stars stuck up above they’re bed.. Kokichi likes counting them before sleeping.

-Shuichi needs to sleep under a weighted blanket 🥰 it makes him feel safe.

A humble blogger glances around, seeing a message hurled across a void and come to rest in our inbox. In their mind, they are symbolically standing in green house full of growing plants. New life from seeds collected from worse times have been sprouting for some time now. Sure, some plants are more fussy to care for, but this certainly isn’t a desert.

They read the message, one meant so grow weeds. But find upon reading the words, only a dandelion remains. A strange flower. Yellow one day, a white puff for wishes the next.

With a hum of consideration, they leave what was meant to be a weed. It’s not so bad, in truth happiness isn’t a permanent state of mind anyways. It’s a crop able to grow between harsh cracks in cement and in carefully tended gardens. Turns out some soil keeps coming up aces after all. - 🌹
