he’s coming back for you
The young woman, though startled, immediately put her hands on his arms to make sure he was steady.
" No apologies needed. I must admit I wasn't paying much attention either."Â
An embarrassed chuckle left her lips as she shot him a reassuring glance. Only then did she truly realize how tall he was compared to her, a blush crawling up her face at the sight of his smile.
"Are you alright Sir? You seemed a bit... " For a moment Lysandre searched for an appropriated word, not wanting to offend him. "disorientated."
Behind her, Alistair was glaring at the two of them, silently fuming and ready to throw himself at Julian if he attempted anything funny. From the look of it he was completely drunk and could be a dangerous person. If he had started the day in a joyful mood, it hadn't lasted long... If it weren't for hister, he would have dragged her from this stupid encounter without even bothering with a random drunkard. However he knew better than act harshly in front of Lysandre as she wouldn't hesitate to scold him if she deemed it necessary. So he waited, retaining a cutting remark on the tip of his tongue.
🌷.The d'Haucourt siblings were walking in the hidden streets of Vesuvia, chatting while avoiding most of people. Since they had reunited, strolling had become a habit for the two of them. Lysandre was happy to share a good moment with her brother while Alistair enjoyed the idea of taking her away from Asra and his damned shop. Everything seemed perfect until she started to talk about the magician. Alistair was growing more bitter with every passing minute, not even looking where he was going.
Julian was just coming out of a tavern, drinking away his latest sorrows when he walked right int Lysandre. “Mff…” he gave a muffled and drunken grunt. It took him a moment to figure out he bumped into a lady. His face flushed with embarrassment. “My apologies miss, I wasn’t paying attention…” He gave a small smile and looked to see if she had dropped anything.Â
At the mention of the countess, the young woman tensed. But she didn't had time to reflect more as she felt her hands in his. Then, she found herself so close to him, and, and... She needed to keep her calm. There was no reason to be so nervous for a childish game she had started. Even if he had been the one nearly falling over her, she had been the one teasing him. The feeling of his palm upon her back was too much and not enough at the same time, and she surprised herself by leaning slighty against Julian. When he asked for a song, she first thought she had misheard him. It would have been possible since the tavern was rather lively. However, she soon realized he was being serious when she found herself in the middle of the floor. Lysandre could feel all the gazes fixated on them and she pressed herself against the doctor, reassured by the contact.Â
« Julian... Are we really going to dance in the middle of all these people ? » She had always loved to dance. It reminded her of very old and foggy memories burried in the back of her mind. At this point, she wasn't sure if she had dreamt about them or if they were real but they were leaving her with strange vibes everytime they came to her mind. In those memories, she was learning how to dance, sometimes failing at being gracious, sometimes getting praised... Then she was in ballrooms, among crowds of richly clothed people gossiping and enjoying their time. It all seemed so long ago...
Her hand gently squeezed his while the other rested on his shoulder. Of course they were going to dance in the middle of the tavern ! They were both inebriated and the occasion was too good to be denied. She adressed Julian a bright smile, her cheeks flushed and her heart beating hard against her ribcage. Tonight, the young woman was finally feeling alive.
Caught in the moment, he hadn’t noticed the drips that had fallen onto her figure or he would have apologized in an instant, but now it was far too late. She had already started getting feisty with him and the doctor wasn’t one to refuse a good flirting session. He knew that she was close to Asra and he knew of her nobility status quite well, so in a way, this fueled him even further to continue her advances, to see how far she would go.
Although, nothing could have prepared him for the way she slid her hands up his chest, a visible blush that had no relation to the alcohol he had in his system crept upon his cheeks and spread to the tips of his ears. If the table wasn’t stable in place, his weight would have shifted it back with the sudden movement he had made against it as if he tried to scoot away but couldn’t; for once, he was the one trapped and embarrassed and frankly, he was no good at behaving under those circumstances.Â
“Oh goodness, I suppose there is no other choice… I will have to pay for it with my body.”, wiggling his eyebrows at her, he slid his own arm around her waist as if to challenge her. To turn the situation in his favour, he cleared his throat for a bit and, although blushing, he displayed a seemingly confident grin, daring to lock his eye on her own. That did not last long when her lands had landed on his abdomen and he almost squirmed away with laughter, warning her with the way he spoke once more, although really, he had no power here and no intention to slide away. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you~”
The second he started to dance, she forgot everything around them and concentrated on her stepping, making sure to follow him while avoiding missteps. It was surprising to see him managing so well in his current state. This man was full of surprises... When his breath tickled her skin, Lys felt her whole body shuddering despite the stuffy ambient of the tavern and words tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop them.
« Terrible decision or not, You have all my trust Julian »
At this point, the young woman didn't know exactly what she meant by that. Was she talking about the actual dance or about something more general ? With the alcohol running through her system, her mind was wandering too much for her liking. The smile on his lips had a lot of effect on her and she followed his rythm with a dreamy gaze. Each time he brought her frame closer to his, she flushed, enjoying the intimacy as if she had been deprived of it for decades. The other clients' stares and the smell of alcohol was long forgotten, swept away by the doctor's charming self and the care with which he was holding her. However, Lysandre wasn't prepared for his final, letting out a little gasp at first before blushing profusely. It was intimidating to be reminded of his tall person in such a personal way but at the same time, she had butterlies in her stomach just by looking at him. When the young woman saw his grin, she giggled and raised her head just enough to kiss his cheek before carefully nuzzling it with her nose.
« You're an amazing dance partner Julian... Who would have guessed... »
She murmured near his ear, letting her lips brush his skin.
"I loved it..."
“Oh, but of course we are, dear.”, Julian spoke as he carefully guided her into a slow waltz to get used to her stepping, leading for the moment, to the best of his abilities considering he was intoxicated and keeping a straight line with a back and forth movement wasn’t exactly easy. However, he was confident enough in his footing that he knew he would not step on her at any point even if he messed up the pace. Chuckling from the atmosphere of heavy anticipation that had dawned upon everyone watching, he said in a hushed tone only for her ears to hear as he leaned in dangerously close to the side of her head, hot breath bouncing against her fair skin. “I will be honest when I say that I have no idea what I’m doing, but I hope you do trust me enough to lead this time around…which would be a terrible decision on its own.”
The entire bar was staring at them while they were swaying back and forth, with him tightening the grip that he had on her while she squeezed back, a charming smile being displayed only for her eyes to see. When the song was slowing down so was their movement and when it sped up, he knew that was the time for him to help her do a twirl, holding her hand gingerly as she spun before he pulled her back into his broad chest, holding her with utmost care. His weary head had rested against her own, gazing down at her with a half-lidded drowsy eye that still managed to somehow display the excitement he was feeling. Whether this was a waltz or a tango, he did not care, he would do it all at once. She was such an intoxicating person that her feisty nature rubbed off on Julian, it made him want to do embarrassing stuff like this in the public eye and not care about the consequences. The place reeked of alcohol and here he was, trying to be romantic to the only person besides his sister that was not blaming him for a crime he did not commit. Maybe his infatuation was based on a bias or maybe it really was just some kind of strange warmth growing in his chest, something he wasn’t very familiar with, and the closer they were to each other even for an ephemeral moment in time, the more he did not want it to end. After he spun her again gracefully, he leaned forward on one of his feet and held onto her arching back; she had no chances of dropping onto the floor, Julian was holding her above it with ease. While she was being loomed over like that, he wiggled his eyebrows at her and if he could wink, he would have - for now, a wide and silly grin had to suffice.
Lys was so proud of herself when she saw the man flush under her attentions. The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to break his usual confident cover and see the real Julian hiding underneath. However, his next words sounded so inappropriate yet promisingthat it was her turn to blush profusely. Even more when she felt his arm around her waist, a warm feeling suddenly invading her. Usually, she avoided physical contacts, shying away even from her master's touch but against all odds, she found  it was terribly enjoyable coming from this tall man. So much enjoyable she nearly forgot her first plans... Drinking so much definitely wasn't a good idea.
A chuckle escaped the young woman's lips at his warning. She came even closer, ghosting her hands over his ribs in « threat ». If he wanted a challenge, he would have one. Her gaze didn't leave his as she whispered calmly, with the most sensual voice she could make.
« Oh really ? Now you make me curious...What will you do to me if I refuse to comply ? Seems like you are the one in a tricky situation Mon Cher... »
To prove her point, she tickled his sides, laughing freely. For one moment, she was herself, playing freely without being bothered Her eyes were shining of excitement, proof oh how eager she was to see how he would retaliate.

Kneel for me, unknowing fool Kneel for me, unworthy pig
Cat NO likey!
@sedireadieu Lysandre felt sorry for him as she watched him fight against his drunken state. However, his question sent her back to the starting point and the young woman had to force herself not to frown. Not Asra again... He was away and she didn’t need to remember it. She tried to play it off with a tense smile and a bit of sarcasm, hoping she would be convincing enough.
“You would like that wouldn’t you... No. To be honest, I’m here to have a little fun. What can I say, while the cat's away the mice will play...” She took a breath, leaning a bit on the table, her eyes searching his.
“And you dear Doctor? Are you here to have some fun?” She already knew the real answer. Why was he here? To torture himself... Reflect upon his presumed crimes and drown his sorrows in Salty bitters were his favourite activities. The young woman was fully aware that bringing this up wasn’t the best move but she needed to distract him for a bit. Even when being utterly wasted, he remained very observant. It was indeed impressive but also too dangerous for her current mood. Julian wasn’t a bad person, she was absolutely sure about it and she didn’t want to bring him down with her own silly vexations.

Her first reflex was to shoot this nuisance a furious stare but, as her eyes set on him, recognition hit her. So when he wasn’t breaking in her shop, he was getting drunk… What an amazing schedule. A sigh escaped her lips as she eyed him disaprovingly.
“Julian… Are you really drunk enough to be unable to recognise me? I was going to tell you I was fine but now I’m offended…”
As much as she wanted to scold him for interrupting her brooding session, her lips curved in a small smile. With a vague movement of her hand, she gestured to a vacant chair near her own.
“You should sit before embarrassing yourself further.”
There was no aggressivity in her tone, only amusement. After all, seeing this supposed murderer tripping over himself wasn’t the most scary of things. Plus, even drunk, he was quite handsome… Not that she would admit it though. Blue eyes checked her drink and she groaned, realizing her glass was nearly empty. Tonight, she definitely needed more to let go of her bitterness towards Asra, to forget her duties towards the countess. Tonight, she wanted to have some fun no matter what.
To put it briefly: yes, yes he was that drunk. He had to narrow his eye to even be able to tell who it was, and surely enough, after his eye had adjusted to the familiar face it was as if the light had finally turned on in his currently vacant brain.
An embarrassed blush crept upon his pale complexion as he fell into the chair vis-a-vis her own, trying to brush the incident off with a smile - although, if one were to look at the way he was swaying, they could tell he was more than a bit tipsy.
“Well, if it isn’t my favourite lady!”, he exclaimed and reached to tap her on the shoulder in a friendly manner, although that was all the more giving him motion sickness so he stopped soon after, going back to resting his head in his hands as he was when he was sitting down at his own table.
“Oh, what d’you know…your glass is empty, I don’t have a glass…A fated encounter.”, a cheesy grin appeared on his lips as he wiggled his eyebrows at her. “A couple more over here, if you are so kind!”, he called out for the bartender to bring them another round. Although observing her through a drunken haze, he could still notice that she wasn’t feeling entirely like herself. “Somethin’ bad happen? You’re usually not one to come here. Oho, am I perhaps rubbing off on you?”
