I kinda wanted to share a few thoughts on why I think All for One possibly was a university professor, mostly because it’s a seemgly small thing but I think it adds interesting layers to him and possibly give us an idea on how his rise to power might have been so… here we go ^^’

1- The place where his last battle with the 2nd OFA user took place

Now, this was the detail about him that first set off this whole speculation train of though: as it was pointed out by @nakamafor on twitter isn’t any random place but rather the University of Tokyo.

Despite most of it being destroyed we can still make out that the walls of the Takeda Auditorium behind them, and the buildings around are also set in the same layout as the University of Tokyo

(kinda like they also noticed that the place being bombed for having people who oppose AFO also seems to be a irl place)

Now it seems that a lot of detail was included to this brief panel, true, but is it enough to conclude that AFO has any connection to this place? Was it just a coincidence that the battle took place in here?

2- Sensei

One of the most defining things about AFO that we know of is that he plays a role of a mentor, an autority, a Teacher. This was ever since his introduction, before we even knew about his connection to the noumus or to One for All

.

Also it is not unsual for him to go on long spiels and infodumping, it’s the role he seems most confortable with

3 - Ujiko

Ujiko’s backstory and the key event that brought him and AFO together was the article he released about the Quirk Doomsday theory, where he was the one to first speculate about the possibility that, as quirk evolves, they could reach a sincularity where there would be no way for control them or wield them in any way

Notably amoung his circle of academics he was widely rejected and the theory was met with disdain with everyone other than AFO. This was Ujiko’s side but what about AFO?

If anything this fact seems to demonstrate that AFO is acquainted with academic circles, and he paid close attention to studies regarding quirks. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if he belonged to theses spaces as a member, possibly as a professor.

4 - Boku

Now, we know that throughout the manga AFO and Izuku share many similarities and have many parallels.

Most notable is their affinity with quirks and using them by creating a combination

One of those similarities is that they both, in the japanese version use “boku” to refer to themselves in the first person. Which mean that “my hero academia” could apply to both of them, this story could be the one of the rise of the OFA user or the story of the greatest viilain, All for one.

In a way, this specific parallel is a mean to tie the plot, both how things started and how they will end. In one academy, rose of the Greatest villain, from another academy (UA) the greatest Hero of All time will rise along the people he saved and inspired, in order to defeat this Villain.

This could quite possibly be the dumbest idea ever but I can't stop thinking about how the Glowing Baby was only a year younger than All For One, and I can't help but wonder what would have happened if they had met before the internet had rotted All For One's brain.

Like, just imagine if these two met randomly one day and both had no idea who the other person was, for this literal sunshine child who's been in the spotlight since the literal day he was born imagine how wild it would be to meet some random kid who has no idea who you are. And for All For One I have no idea how he'd react to the Glowing Baby (honestly he'd probably try to steal his quirk depending if the Glowing Baby new how to hide his quirk) but imagine how he'd react to some random kid trying to get to know him and *gasp* trying to befriend him for no apparent reason.

I mean all that All For One wants is for people to see him so I imagine if someone did this he's eat all that attention up. And I just can't stop thinking about the possibilities, we know that the Glowing Baby was an activist when he gets older with thousands of followers so perhaps after awhile he'd even try to get All For One to join him, and just the thought of a social activist All For One is hilarious to me but I could see him do it just for the followers alone.

I just can't help but think about how funny this would be.

It'd quite literally be this dynamic and I'm all here for it, but yeah that was just a random thought that's been plaguing me since I learned about All For One's backstory so don't take it too seriously this is just my sleep deprived brain talking XD

kudou and yoichi are the tragic old man yaoi EVER

what do you MEAN kudou could have and should have killed yoichi but instead saved him when the rest of the world turned their backs on him

what do you MEAN they were only together for two months before All for One murdered Yoichi in front of Kudou's eyes?

what do you MEAN that their connection created One for All - the literal embodiment of hope for generations to come?

what do you MEAN that when Kudou died his essense lived on in the space he created for and because of Yoichi?

what do you MEAN that, even after death, they could be together again?

what do you MEAN that their love LITERALLY SAVES THE WORLD

>Yoichi's Transfer quick is useless on it's own if it has nothing to Transfer. It being 'empty' and needing to be given (...filled with 🤢) another quirk. AFO being the 'donor' of the Power Stockpile quirk. Planting his seed will into Yoichi's body to make him 'his' and make his brother sumbit to him by giving him a quirk. The quirks merging together to form a new one.

>AFO literally calling himself the 'father of OFA'.

>AFO having Cronus parallels/references. Cronus marrying and having children with his own sister, Rhea. Cronus being defeated by his and Rhea's child, Zeus.

>OFA 'starting to grow and kick' in Midoriya.

>Midoriya being the one to 'complete' OFA (read as: giving birth to the child that will defeat AFO, it's father).

>OFA sucking energy and life-force out of it's holders, like a baby takes resources out of it's mother's body to grow.

>Midoriya being the 9TH, and the LAST holder of OFA. Like. You know. 9 months of pregnancy? And it's impossible to transfer OFA further because it has grown too big now.

i have a headcanon that Yoichi trims AFO's hair because i can't help but compare AFO's nicely trimmed hair to Yoichi's and i thought someone had to have cut AFO's hair for him and it is only logical for me to assume it was Yoichi who did. I think AFO would only trust Yoichi to be so close to him with a sharp object like a pair of scissors lol

I think Yoichi would have also liked cutting his brother's hair at first, because it would make him feel helpful in a way? And I just think even when AFO put him in the vault, AFO would still go there to get his hair trimmed by Yoichi.

and once Yoichi joins the resistance, he offers to do this for Kudo as well.
