So noone ever fucking responds to anything I ask. But I don’t care. Anyone not feeling the new layout. I’m not sure if I like the old one better or not. Let me know if you hate this one or not. Just felt like a change. Alright I know you didn’t come here to read what I’m writing so lets post some pics. Also ask and/or request time. Maybe one of these days someone will actually respond to this shit.
Very lovely indeed
Looking for milk chocolate! We currently live in Tucson, AZ We are frequently in the San Diego area. While hubby is working I am wanting to meet some younger, tall, semi-dark and handsome….
Wow and there was me considering then just to be musicians and judging them only on that. How silly of me 😏
I only just thought about the fact that the official placebo lineup is now exclusively lgbt???? No straights???? How iconic I love my favourite band.
Awesome
If you’ve ever looked at a spiderweb, it’s easy to see that spiders have some serious weaving skills. But what’s less obvious is that spider silk, which makes up those webs, is one of the most impressive materials known to man.
It’s five times stronger than steel, more elastic than rubber bands, and softer than wool.
If scientists could harness this material, imagine the things it could be used for: bulletproof clothing; biodegradable water bottles; waterproof bags; and flexible bridge suspension ropes.
Here’s the problem: It’s not easy to get large quantities of the material from actual spiders. So, for years, materials scientists have been studying spider silk to see how it might be copied.
Enter Bolt Threads. The company, founded by three scientists from UCSF and UC Berkeley, discovered a technique that makes mass production of spider silk feasible.
The researchers inserted genes into yeast, which then produces a spider silk-like protein as it ferments. Through a proprietary system, the silk is spun into solid yarn.
The fibers, which are much finer than natural materials like cotton and stronger than nylon, could lend clothes the best qualities of both natural and artificial fibers: they would be soft and light, while durable enough to toss in the wash repeatedly. Imagine a fabric that is tough, durable, lightweight, and petroleum-free.
And not only can they make spider silk, they can customize it. Spider silk could improve the performance of everything from parachutes and climbing ropes to fishing nets and surgical sutures.

I would love this line up in my garage!
You've gone and summed up exactly how I am feeling a bit it all right now. Yep it's gonna be weird but also there'll be some typical Jon gems in there as always. For me Burning Bridges was waaaay better than What About Now. There was only a couple of songs on that one I liked. The last three official albums I could make one great album outta some of those songs. Whatever will be will be.
OMJOVI!
I am so excited about new music from Jon and Bon Jovi.
At the same time I am terrified.
Will it live up to the expectations of us loyal fans or will it reopen the horrible wounds caused by Richie leaving the band?
What About Now was received with mixed reviews by the always nasty critics and fans alike even with Richie contributing. Burning Bridges doesn’t even really count as it was Jon just rehashing tracks that had already been written and not necessarily found worthy of being on a Bon Jovi album.
Personally, I liked several of the songs on both albums but it once again reminded us that the music style of the band has matured and changed from a Rock edge to more Pop. It disappointed and even enraged many.
I expect more of the same. Jon says he’s taking it back but I don’t know if that can be true. He is a different person now than he was in his twenties. As he’s said before and I paraphrase “if I was writing You Give Love A Bad Name” now it would seem silly.
Putting all that aside there is the lack of Richie and his influence on the music. I think with his departure from the band and the tone of the last two albums, we all realize now that his input had been decreasing for awhile. He has made comments to that effect and it probably contributed to why he left.
I read a comment a fan made about “Bon Jovi will never be the same without Richie.” It brought back all the sadness I felt when that all went down. How the brotherhood was broken. One of the things that made our band seem so special.
I agree it will never be the same. I will always miss seeing those two joking around. Sharing their wicked grins. The incredible library of songs they created together that have become our anthems and soundtracks to our lives. Their beautiful harmonies. How they complimented one another on stage. The sad knowledge that when they sang “There’s secrets that we’ll take to the grave, standing here shoulder to shoulder…” now holds a different meaning to all of us…
Sigh.
And after all that I still can’t help but want to jump around the room like an idiot over the news of a new album.
I have complete faith in Jon writing great music with or without Richie and that I will once again love some if not all of the songs.
It is just another step in this journey that began for me over 30 years ago when I fell in love with this band and their music.
And I can hardly wait!
Him or Bellerin is a win for us I reckon.
Latest rumours claim that Liverpool FC have signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal on a pre-contract agreement but there is no news on a potential fee of yet. There had been numerous reports circling for days linking the Reds with a £35m move for the winger/midfielder and it looks as if they could have hit the nail on the head after Graeme Kelly tweeted yesterday morning “Oxlade Chamberlain lads, feel bad saying it, been told today it’s done. Got no fee info like.”
Would you lot be happy with the Ox as a signing?
