STOP.

Dear Budding Psychics, Mediums, Divinators, and Everyone Else Going Around Telling Non-Witches That They're Secretly Witches During Readings,

STOP.

Being a witch is not a secret superpower that has to be unearthed. It is not an inherited genetic marker that magically manifests at a certain point in a person's life.

Being a witch is a choice that a person must make for themselves. They cannot be INFORMED that they are a witch if they have not previously made this choice of their own volition. You don't get to TELL people that they're witches. That is their decision to make.

It's not something you can read in a palm. It's not something you can see in cards or tea leaves or a psychic vision. It's not something you can TEST for arbitrarily.

You don't get to tell someone they're a car mechanic if they aren't. You don't get to tell someone they're in a coven if they haven't taken vows. You don't get to decide for someone whether or not they're a witch.

(Apparently, this is a new "thing" among novices, particularly those of school age, this idea of doing a reading for someone and "determining" that the client is a witch, without the person having ever made that choice for themselves. Sure, it might spark interest and bring them to the community looking for more information, but the idea of being able to designate or "tell" other people that they're witches, independent of their own choices, needs to be squashed.)

Even if you have reason to believe that someone is secretly a witch, it is Very Poor Form to inquire directly, if they haven't chosen to share. Plenty of practitioners have Very Good Reasons for keeping their practice under wraps. If you want to make a private inquiry, that's fine. Just be prepared that you might receive a denial, no matter how sure you are. If the answer is no, that's it. Don't invade people's privacy, especially if you live in an area where being publicly labeled as a witch might be unsafe.

I know we like to say that witchcraft doesn't have universal rules, but there ARE overarching codes of conduct. And one of them is that you do NOT out someone as a witch without their permission. Ever. Because you do not know what the repercussions might be for that person and you may be placing them in danger without knowing it.

If someone decides to be a witch or to live openly as such, that is their decision to make and theirs alone. And if they choose not to be, this must likewise be respected. You don't get to make that decision for them, just as you wouldn't want anyone else making that decision for you.

Sincerely,

Someone Who Lived Through The Satanic Panic And Has Done A LOT Of Research About Witch Hunts

Please help!

Hi friends~

I hate being that person to ask for anything in life BUT I have rent due next week and due to life beingโ€ฆ well life, I unfortunately do not have enough to pay it.

Iโ€™m in between jobs, having health issues Iโ€™ve been having to pay out of pocket for and having to take care of my sick cat. All of this has absolutely drained my wallet. I donโ€™t like asking for hand outs, but Iโ€™ve been working my butt off between dog sitting and door dashing trying to make up bills, but Iโ€™m just not there yet.

Because I donโ€™t like asking for hand outs just for nothing, Iโ€™m also willing to do tarot readings, pendulum readings and even work on art commissions! (Art commissions may take a little a time due to work and such).

Iโ€™m also opening my shop sometime in the next few weeks, but itโ€™s unfortunately after rent is due, since I need to buy a few more supplies in order to finish pieces so any extra money will go towards that.

The littlest bit can help and I appreciate anyone who can give a little!

Iโ€™m just super fucking bitter that once the flint water crisis got itโ€™s 15 minutes of fame people stopped giving a shit. The water is still poisoned, people! Donations have plummeted and people have been forced back into drinking and bathing with the water! The medical effects of this are astounding, cases of legionnaires disease have skyrocketed, people are having seizures, people are having weird rashes break out over their body, people (including me!) are having their blood poisoned, and itโ€™s not just lead! itโ€™s coliform bacteria! itโ€™s THMs! itโ€™s all in the water and it gets into the bloodstream and breaks down blood vessels, causing bruising andย petechiae and internal bleeding and no one gives a shit anymore and itโ€™s only gotten worse like how many people are going to have to die until people realize this is still a problem

I think that witchcraft is one of the best ways to learn how to love yourself and trust yourself. It's one of the greatest forms of self care.

๐ŸŒฟHealing salts๐ŸŒฟ

Salt is very purifying, cleansing, and healing, combine it with some various healing plants and youโ€™ve got amazing healing salts for baths, cooking, aromatherapy, and spells. Itโ€™s also a great way to preserve your herbs!

๐ŸŒฟ Hereโ€™s what you need:

-Salt (regular sea salt is fine but Himalayan or Celtic salt correspond more with healing in my opinion)

-fresh healing herbs/plants of your choice (can be dried but Iโ€™ve had better results with fresh)

-mortor and pestle

-somewhere to store it

๐ŸŒฟHereโ€™s some recommended healing herbs/plants:

Basil- protection, prosperity, happiness // anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, appetite stimulator

thyme- healing, sleep, soothing // soothes respitory system, antiseptic, decongestant

peppermint- energy, health, vitality // nausea &vomiting, IBS, bloating

garlic- protection, banishment, healing // anti-bacterial, anti-viral, reduces infection

lemon peel- cleansing, purifying, joy // antioxidants, immune boost, kills germs

sage- protection, cleansing, wisdom // cough, antibacterial, soothes inflammation

oregano- luck, health, family // anti-virus, allergy relief, anti-inflammatory

orange peel- optimism, happiness, strength // immune boost, vitamins, antioxidants

lemon balm- healing, psychic abilities, uplifting // anti-anxiety, sleep, indigestion

parsley- calming, protection, passion // energy, circulation, digestion

rosemary- cleansing, divination, love// soothes sore muscles, soothes cough, improves memory

cinnamon- comfort, love, protection // anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, kills germs

๐ŸŒฟHow to make it:

-Add a small handful of salt and the herb or herbs of your choice in your mortor and pestle (how much you use depends on the size of your mortor and pestle and how strong you want the salts to be)

-Grind them up until theyโ€™re mixed well and infused, the salt will most likely change color.(itโ€™s easier to tell with fresh plants, with dried plants itโ€™ll be more of a powder when itโ€™s done). I like to use this time to focus on the intent!

-Pour it into an airtight container and youโ€™re done, enjoy in a bath, in food, in spells, scrubs etc.

** please do research before consuming any herbs or plants you arenโ€™t familiar with, especially if youโ€™re pregnant or on medication.

hello!!

on May 25th, my partner had a string of seizures in the middle of the night. This was very concerning because theyโ€™ve never had any before, and didnโ€™t have any conditions to explain it. They donโ€™t have health insurance, but needed TWO ambulance rides (Americans already know how expensive that is) including an MRI, EEG and more. We were so scared of the bill that we instantly went and bought them health insurance, which basically drained us financially. Theyโ€™re insurance doesnโ€™t even go into effect until 7/1, so it wonโ€™t cover anything thatโ€™s happened. and we have a few neurologist appointments left before the 1st. We still donโ€™t even know whatโ€™s wrong. So please, please please. If you can help at all, even $1 or .50ยข, please help us. We are looking at over $7,000 in bills not including the ambulance rides, and weโ€™ve only saved $4,000 in the past few years. We still need to pay rent & our bills through it all, which we can afford, but we canโ€™t afford both. We canโ€™t afford to pick and choose. I would never ever ask for help otherwise if we didnโ€™t absolutely need it. If you canโ€™t help financially, please consider retweeting this as that helps so much too. Thank you all so much <3
