Today is officially the first day of Spring‼️🌺

The vernal equinox, marking the first day of spring occurred today at 5:01 AM ET.

Through the storm I’ll still stand strong 💪🏽. Looking forward to a week of parenting and keeping kids alive in different locations. But really excited for some downtime with good friends. ❤️

An extraordinary Acheulean handaxe knapped around a fossil shell circa 500,000-300,000 years ago.

The maker appears to have deliberately flaked around the shell to preserve and place it in a central position. As a result this handaxe has been described as an early example of artistic thought.
