Thank you very much! đ
Maâam I need help.. is it okay to use a metal thing for your wand? Because I have a very pretty hand-made copper bubble wand and I wanna use it for a wand..
Of course! Wands are used as a means to direct and channel energy, and metals are good conductors so itâs safe to assume that theyâd make good wands.
As much as woods are the traditional option, they arenât the only option.

Intuition is your greatest tool, folks. If you have a bad feeling about something, you probably shouldnât do it. If your intuition tells you that you have a malignant faerie harassing you at night and that itâs about to do more, you should probably get rid of it! If your intuition says you have more than one faerie in your house, investigate! You might make a new friend. Long story short, go with your gut.
Iâm going to do this for Midsummer! Let the beautiful sun soak into my lovely oil!
Essential oil free!
1. A sudden burst of sunlight, as through broken clouds
I just made my batch for this winter and I thought I'd share this recipe with you!
Good for: Physical Healing, Protection, Divination, Happiness, Love, Creativity, Prophesy, Truth, Solar Deities
Medically: cools and softens skin, helps heal small cuts, burns, irritations, SAD, breaking fever, purifying, anti bacterial, helps relieve anxiety and depression
Grapeseed or sunflower oil
Dried hibiscus
Dried juniper berries
Dried Bay leaves
Dried citrus peel
Dried dandelion root
Rosemary
A cinnamon stick
If you want to add essential oils you can, I didnt for this batch but In the past I've used frankincense, lemon, orange, cinnamon, vetiver, black pepper, sandalwood, and juniper
Best to grind the ingredients before adding them to the oil (except the cinnamon stick)
Makes a great offering for any solar deity like apollo, sol, helios, sekhmet
Let infuse in the sunshine for a few weeks-months depending on how much oil you're making, or if you want it faster & stronger you can heat it up until it turns red from the hibiscus
It smells so good so it's an excellent natural perfume, and it's great for your skin!
I tend to go heavy on the hibiscus and juniper in this but the amounts used are up to you.
Crystal infusions: citrine, garnet, carnelian
Hi, I have a quick question about the fae. Are they known to leave people gifts of shiny things? I havenât done any work with the fae, but for about a few months now Iâve been finding coins nearly everywhere I go, when I almost never find them normally. Today I was on the train and I looked on the seat next to me, where no one had sat after I sat down, and there was a coin there that definitely wasnât there when I got on. Iâve also been finding keys and even a ring (which fit me perfectly, too), and itâs at the point where itâs a little too coincidental to ignore. Do you have any insight/thoughts?
Hey anon! Yeah, the fae tend to leave shiny objects around- especially if they like you or want to get your attention. I once found a whole sugar spoon, and that was how I met our garden faerie. I recommend reaching out, and seeing if they want something, and mayhaps leaving an offering. See what happens!
hi!
i found your blog and i was wondering if you could help me. i'm a baby witch and i'm having a hard time trying to find books to read about fae. i do not want to begin fairy work right now, i believe i'm not ready, but i'm obsessed with them since my childhood and i want to learn more. do you have any books recomendations? or even other sources of fae and fae work. if you don't, that's fine.
even if you just read this, thank you very much! i hope you have a nice day.
Hey there! I will tell you, my journey into fae work started like yours, and at some point, the fae will make themselves known, wether youâre ready or not, so knowledge is important. I have always liked faeries too, and I ended up researching the fae in various folklore- brothers Grimm, traditional Scottish and Celtic folklore, whatever I could get my hands on.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of my collection of folklore is inherited from various grandparents and great grandparents, so a lot of them are incredibly old or out of print.
HOWEVER! There IS the Spiderwick Chronicles! Before you laugh at me, hear me out: one of the authors is Holly Black, and that lady does her research!
This is a companion to the series- and a lot of the lore in here checks out; if not the types of fae specifically. Turn your clothes inside out if the fae confuse you? In there- and thatâs pretty obscure. Start here, is my recommendation, or the folklore section of your library!
Whenever I cleanse a spell jar (as a closeted witch) I use moon water and a bit of sea salt. Salt for protection, and moon water because itâs absorbed the qualities of the full moon (or whatever moon you used.)
@ witchblr, I have a question. I'm planning to make my first spell jar, and have researched all of what I can put in it, and how to seal it, and all that, but I've only ever seen others cleanse their jars with incense. I'm not exactly in the position to get or use incense due to being a closeted witch, so is there any other way to cleanse a jar? I can't find any articles on this.
I also recommend this book! Honestly, Holly Black is just good at writing the fae in general! Read all her faerie books!! I love the Tithe series and her Folk of the Air series, too.
If you guys are looking for a good novel about the fae pls read âThe Darkest Part of the Forestâ by Holly Black itâs one of my favourite books. The world building and characters are just amazing!!!!
hey i really need some guidance or insight do you think you could do a reading on me?
Sure, but I would need a little more information to be able to do a reading!
