Here are the first 5 Silmarillion oracle cards! They are Ulmo, Vala of water and all that lives within it; Mairon, better known as the troublesome Maia Sauron; Melkor, the rogue Vala of chaos and destruction- better known as Morgoth, the reason we can't have nice things; Nessa, the Vala of Wilds and wife of Tulkas; and Nienna, Vala of Grief and Compassion, who moves all peoples- even those of the enemy.
Each one is handmade, so no links, sadly. There is glitter paint on them though, because mystical fantasy deities need sparkle- even the dark evil ones. They're mostly Valar, with a couple influential Maiar strewn in there. Gandalf will make an appearance at some point!
omg please drop the silmarillion oracle deck bestie…. if there’s a link even better 🥺 i’m so obsessed
Of course! I think I’ll do a couple at a time- there’s a lot, and they’ve all got individual backs!
I made a tiny spell book! The design is simply a thing that came to mind when I thought about the person I made it for, so I guess it’s KINDA like a sigil? I dunno, it’s just what my witchy brain said to stick on it.
A collection of ideas on how you may incorporate your comfort item/s into your craft. Be creative, be specific, make it your own! This is just to get some ideas flowing <3
Put small tumbled crystals in with the stuffing.
Make a crystal bracelet/necklace for them.
Make herb/spell sachets (or even a teeny spell bottle) and place inside.
Alternatively, sew on a little pocket and place the sachet/bottle in that!
Enchant to bring comfort/protection.
*Use as a physical tie for wards or spells.
Make little outfits - incorporate color correspondences, stitch sigils in them, add little pockets to hold herbs/crystals, etc.

Stitch a sigil onto a corner (or use fabric paint).
Add a small pouch/pocket (with a flap) for herbs and crystals.
Spritz with an herbal spray.
Enchant to bring comfort/protection.
Color correspondences.
Make your own blanket and infuse magic into the stiches/rows. Be creative with the colors and patterns - how do they tie into what you intend to use the blanket for?
Hold and channel your energy + intention into the item.
*Use as a physical tie for wards/spells.
Draw/stitch/attach sigils.
Attach/include crystals.
Spritz with an herbal spray or attach herbs.
Utilize color correspondences/material correspondences.
Enchant the item itself, or attach something enchanted to it.
Cleansing. If you are using your comfort item to help protect from negative energies, I’d recommend cleansing it frequently!
Charging. How do you charge the magic you’ve added to your item?
Refreshing. With wards, spells, and enchantments, they tend to fade with time. When was the last time you refreshed it?
*Risks. Physical ties for wards can be affected when the ward is attacked/broken. Do you want to risk it? Also realize that there can be multiple layers to wards, you might use your comfort item as a smaller, more specific ward. (I recommend having multiple ward layers).
Have fun! Your comfort item is important to you, so what you do with it magically should feel good–not stressful or overwhelming!

So if you must know, I’m part Czech. My father was raised in a town split 50/50 Italian and Czech immigrants and their descendants. He married my mum, who was a very impressionable beginner chef, and once she discovered this specific combination of spices from his mum, she put it in most of the food I and my family ate- and I would add that no one banned freaking GARLIC or ONION, or BASIL, which I ALSO used a lot of.
Here’s the combo:
Salt (always)
Black pepper (duh)
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Basil
Paprika- smoked or sweet, it don’t matter, depends on the dish.
There you have it- go get paprika banned at your houses!
Same bro honestly. My mum was telling us about that and brought up how one time she thought she twisted her ankle, thought “This is fine,” and went about her day as normal- only for her foot to start swelling up and being told by the ER her foot was broken.
I fucking hate having a high pain tolerance I went to urgent care about my back pain and I was like “idk I tore a muscle or something” no I have a FRACTURED SPINE.
thank you for the pics of your silmarillion deck!! they’re so cute! can i ask how you decided on what messages to put on the oracle cards?
Hey sure! Basically I read that book like seven times and tried to think on their ‘purpose’ in Arda. They were out there for a reason. Some were easy (Manwë, for instance). Some…. I struggled (Melkor). But in the end, they all had lil messages, and they worked.
Omg, thank you very much!!
No problem! I enjoy doing these readings!
Hello hello! Today we’re going to talk about the preferred method of sigil making for my dear friend. They have severe ADHD and autism, and struggle with focus- either hyper focused or unable to focus.
They prefer this method for its ease and organic feeling. The method I speak of is:
The Abstract Method is a very artsy way to make a sigil. It’s incredibly easy.
First, you’re going to pick the thing you want your sigil to represent. I’m going with “protection” again.
Next, look at the word. What does it mean to you? FEEL where the lines go, how straight they are or how they curve. Everyone’s will look different, since words mean different things to different people.
Example:
Feel free to use mine (with proper credit of course), but don’t be afraid to make yours look completely different from mine! Feel your way through this method.
A sigil of creativity! It is also inscribed on my sketchbook, so I will never lack for artistic inspiration!
The first 5 cards in my oracle deck, taken at 11pm- behold! The Silmarilion! I’ve already lore dropped on another post, so I won’t dump my nerdiness on y’all.
You left out the best part- they named it Taquito.
i'm crying rn.... the fucking Torta.....
