What do readings entail?
Typically, tarot, but if asked, I can do runes or oracle cards. I would ask though that we stay away from past life readings- I’m not great at those, and y’all deserve the best- and that askers give me a specific question. I’ll develop an FAQ soon!
I-
I used to work togos at a restaurant. And we sold those for Uber and DoorDash-
That’s Buddy V’s Rainbow Cake by the slice-
@anathemaegg asked where I get rainbow cake by the slice, and unfortunately I have a non-answer for you, because it's a local specialty grocery store where I work.
BUT the good news is that we don't make it, it's shipped in frozen and we just thaw it out, slap a store logo on it and call it homemade.
("Um, Jes, wtf? You can just do that???" Yes, and in fact QUITE A LOT of the 'store brand' items you buy in stores are just name-brand stuff we buy in bulk for cheap, divide into smaller containers, and then sell. MAGIC.)
Anyway.
It's this cake. IDK where you can find it around you, but check stores in your area. It'll be in the bakery department, probably in a refrigerated cooler with the other fancy desserts.
A sigil for protection.
hi!
i found your blog and i was wondering if you could help me. i'm a baby witch and i'm having a hard time trying to find books to read about fae. i do not want to begin fairy work right now, i believe i'm not ready, but i'm obsessed with them since my childhood and i want to learn more. do you have any books recomendations? or even other sources of fae and fae work. if you don't, that's fine.
even if you just read this, thank you very much! i hope you have a nice day.
Hey there! I will tell you, my journey into fae work started like yours, and at some point, the fae will make themselves known, wether you’re ready or not, so knowledge is important. I have always liked faeries too, and I ended up researching the fae in various folklore- brothers Grimm, traditional Scottish and Celtic folklore, whatever I could get my hands on.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of my collection of folklore is inherited from various grandparents and great grandparents, so a lot of them are incredibly old or out of print.
HOWEVER! There IS the Spiderwick Chronicles! Before you laugh at me, hear me out: one of the authors is Holly Black, and that lady does her research!
This is a companion to the series- and a lot of the lore in here checks out; if not the types of fae specifically. Turn your clothes inside out if the fae confuse you? In there- and that’s pretty obscure. Start here, is my recommendation, or the folklore section of your library!
The first 5 cards in my oracle deck, taken at 11pm- behold! The Silmarilion! I’ve already lore dropped on another post, so I won’t dump my nerdiness on y’all.
Thank you for your help. The reading helped a lot and gave me insight on the situation. I greatly appreciate it!
No trouble!
Well, kinda, but you can totally have a casual relationship with them. I do. I have a bunch of succulents (and an onion??) in my room for the garden faerie, and my rock box out for the pixie, and they leave me alone. We celebrate solstices and equinoxes, but I haven’t had a bunch of time for witchcraft lately.
They get that, and we have a very casual relationship. Like I said- as long as you respect them, and leave them little things, you’ll be fine.
I was dropping my sister off at Girl Scouts at the nearby elementary school, and as I’m leaving, I’m looking at all these cute little locker stickers with the kids’ names on them, you know, names like “Kyle”, “Mary”, and “Trevor”. Then I passed a locker and backtracked.
The locker said Eowyn, and I thought, “This girl is either going places or doing something stupid and reckless.”
what is the Worst fandom-reference baby name you’ve ever seen in the wild
Clout chasing keeps ruining communities. The witchcraft community is no different.
You shouldn’t feel like you have to post readings every single day, pump out “content” to be posted every hour on the hour, craft sigils until your hands are cramped, and record vlogs about your deity experience in order to have a place in the community and be “relevant.”
Your altars and candles don’t have to be “insta-worthy” in order to be potent tools of magic.
You don’t need to spent thousands of dollars on the most trendy crystals to cast spells.
This is a spirituality, not a runway.
Just do you.
