all you people dragging your koroks across the map like this is Red Dead Hyrule and here I have been overengineering these safety boxes so the little shits don't fall down or get uncomfortable on their big lil backpacks
Slowly starting to post again with a prize for @carbecex for this year’s FFXIVWrite, hosted by @sea-wolf-coast-to-coast! Congrats!
6. How important is wealth to your character?
Oooh, Sena's relationship with this is interesting!
He knows he needs money to live, and becoming an adventurer alongside his friend is something that I think was motivated by running out of money and needing to eat (at least partly). He doesn't care about wealth per se but a lot of his attitude in general is very survival-minded, and a part of that is being able to afford things.
I'd say his attitude is somewhere between this tumblr post where someone talks about how one of their life goals is to get an apartment, and they're asked why they don't want more, to which they respond with "I can't afford it / it's unrealistic / in this economy?" (I can't find it, I looked), and a few conversations early in Library of Ruina that boil down to "I can't be worrying about other people or dismantling the system or whatever, I have my own stuff to deal with!"
people NEED to stop gatekeeping making music like ohhhh i don’t have an instrument ohhhhh i don’t know music theory ohhhhh i’m not gonna pay for some program. SHUT UP. take my hand.
you need NONE of that shit!!!!! there’s a website called beepbox.co. literally all you have to do is press things until it sounds a modicum of nice. it’s easy it’s free and it works on anything which has a browser because it’s a website.
if even ONE person starts making music bc of this post it will be worth it.
making bad music is just as important and okay as it is to write badly or draw badly or sing badly. you AREN’T BEHOLDEN TO MAKE GOOD MUSIC. making music is not utilitarian HAVE FUN. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!
I - Inventor - How creative is their thinking? Do they seek out the opinions of others or rely on their own ideas? What’s their problem solving approach?
Sena is creative in specific ways, but I don't think he's creative in general - he might think outside the box during a fight as a survival / practical thing, but wouldn't have the patience for an art project or an elaborate strategy.
For the opinions of others, he actually puts a lot of stock into the opinions of the handful of people he trusts; in a lot of ways he sees himself as existing in relation to them, rather than by himself, and that extends to his antagonist arc where he's alone, lost, and lashing out. But he won't listen to like, strangers' advice without someone he trusts vouching for that stranger.
Problem-solving for him falls into either pragmatism (though not utilitarianism since he really only cares about his friends) or "I can fight it", to varying results. He's actually pretty observant and is quick to notice when things are off - though he could probably point them out a bit more tactfully.
As a bonus, since he curses a lot - most of his more creative curses are stolen from characters like SIdurgu or Estinien, because he has trouble coming up with his own.
(blood + spoilers for g-witch) Redraw of That scene - I used a few screenshots for this, so the crop’s a bit different!
wait guys. reblog this and tell me what the last movie you watched was. bonus points if you add a short review <333
i hate you rushed endings, i hate you final books split into multiple part movies for profit, i hate you unwarranted series cancellations and crunches, i hate you adaptations that completely disregard the source material, i hate you studios forcing writers to limit representation/diversity in the final product, i hate you rushed releases causing poor quality and exploited workers, i hate you devaluation of film as a product rather than a story to be shared with the world, i hate you outrageously low animator salaries.
