BEHOLD: a 118-page compilation of (almost) every scrap of lore about Ishgard I could find – its social organization, history, religious beliefs, and culture.

Every piece of lore is sourced with a footnote in order to make it easy to look up – and to tell canon from my informed inferences and wild speculations. This makes the doc a little heavy and slow to load; my apologies! To look up a topic of interest, I recommend giving it a second to load, then using Ctrl+F to search.

One of the worst parts of current internet culture is that it makes good old fashioned complaining so difficult. I don’t wanna cancel anyone or bully anyone, I’m not trying to form a hate mob I’m not calling anyone out, i just wanna bitch about something. Because complaining is fun, good for you, even. I'm having a lot of trouble with art (combined burnout, frustration with my style and how the studies - most of what I've been doing these days - are going, and a host of other stressors) and I don't feel very confident in my personal work right now. I don't want to officially announce a hiatus because I'm not sure myself if things are at that level, but I'm also not sure what to do right now.
