let it happen - that this is the end of the road for them but arent mad about it because maybe luffys waiting for them. maybe after all this time, theyll see him again

and the others have to convince them to keep fighting and the only reason why they do is because of luffys words from a long long time ago

I mean, Luffy vs Lucci was on full display for all of them to see—the limits Luffy surpasses in order to go home with them, breaking and bleeding and bruising. And the funny part of that is that he would do it again. In every timeline. In every reincarnation, in every life they find each other again. To Luffy, who thinks being alone is worse than being hurt, it's a small price to pay for family.
