Nothing can convince me Yumehara isn't a kpop fan. I was a boy-crazy middle schooler and I fell pray to kpop like a helpless critter. Well, you gotta remember that any baby Saiki has is going to get at least half of his genes and Saiki was shapeshifting in the womb, so I would assume the fetus would, out of self-preservation, take drastic action.

Like perhaps:

Shapeshift itself smaller so it can fit in the next most convenient organ

Protest directly into Saiki's brain with telepathy every time he even thinks about turning back into a dude and threatening to make him extra nauseous or smth

Ectopic mpreg threatening to kill them both so Saiki will transform back in a hurry

Release hormones to force-fem Saiki so he won't want to turn back into his usual shape (babies can manipulate their mothers via hormones in real life 😬)

Sidestep all of this by pulling on ancient genes to become an egg that gets externalized quickly instead of dealing with being in a shapeshifter for 9 months
