i think some of you dont like narratives or stories or characters i think you just like fanfiction tropes

tbh i don’t really get when people say ‘it’s not heroic, it’s the bare minimum’ about things they presumably want to encourage, if you’re really that pragmatic why does the exact motivation matter, downplaying the act you want to happen is not going to make it happen more, is it

ok...but maybe you've been giving too much credit to some fan theories forgetting what the actual elements of the story are thus are now blaming the author for not giving you what you wanted in a misplaced sense of betrayal when you are the one who's been feeding yourself lies the whole time

IM SHAKING AND CRYING

i forget where I got the idea from (might've been carter's Political Theory which is a terrible book otherwise), but something i haven't been able to get out of my mind is what I'm tentatively calling the ‘Anarchist Theory of Accountability’; which resolves itself into this cold assessment that both the logic and the individual are at fault.

I was so used to Marx and his way of talking about the abstract logic intoxicating the whole of society and how it's not the individual but the systems and logics that are responsible

Like Marx straight up tells you —doesn't warn you, but tells you— I should've taken it as a warning, that he deals with individuals only as personifications of class interests

Sure, he has his favorite punching bags, but for the most part he abstracts

So this whole other facet ran under my radar and was a rude awakening because ultimately it is still the real corporeal physical individual who carry out actions in their own interest at the expense of others, who sees and smells and architects the misery of others for their own gain

The logic may have wormed its way into their heart but they still plan and relish and act out on it

‘Don't hate the player hate the game’

No actually, I hate both, the game is rigged and the player constitutes and reconstitutes, produces and reproduces the game

The only way is not to play, as difficult as that is

But you still followed them, at the expense of everyone involved

Now a portion of my whinings

Lev wanted to start the new year with a full-rendered complex piece with background and stuff, and right at that moment she caught a cold, her period started, and knee pain fell on her. And she was squeezing this art for 4 days in a row, suffering

Worth it 👍

Risky. Risky after a break to return to the blog with a full ass illustration, which often don't get much unlike sketches and comics, but moreover it is also an unfamiliar story to you. but I am well aware of these risks, I take them all on myself

Still worth it 👍👍

This year I will strive to draw at least one full illustration every month. I want to make a sick portfolio and also do a regular practice!

In my summary, I complained about how little blue art I had last year. Well, look at me go, starting the year with the bluest art possible ehehehehehe
