Julie and the Phantoms Week: Day 6: Play it on Repeat

I complain about Adrien getting screen time a lot but it’s not because I don’t like him, it’s because of how that screen time is being used. He’s heavily tied to the plot through his family but is completely disconnected from it at the same time. His character is oversimplified. We don’t know what his ambitions are, we never see him try to make up for his mistakes, we never see the internal struggle that comes from having your only childhood friend be hated by everyone (with good reason), we never see him questioning why his father has a book related to the miraculouses, we never see anything of value to his development. He is only ever naively optimistic or an angsty boy we’re supposed to feel sorry for 24/7. It’s a shame that no other aspects are explored because he doesn’t feel organic at this point, he feels like a poster boy, which ultimately, he is.
adrien and marinette are partnered in health class and become parents of a fake baby for a final project
they both become way too invested in the baby, which is funnier when it’s just a sack of flour
marinette constantly dresses it in new clothes she’s designed every day
adrien insists on doing a family photo shoot or having a family portrait commissioned
a stranger bumps the baby and they both immediately scream in panic
when there’s an akuma, whoever has the baby immediately has to try to find the other person to hand it off to because no of course they can’t leave it alone it’s a BABY but they’re nowhere to be found
anyone have some good Ladynoir centric fic recs? whenever I try to look for them they’re kind of drowned out by the other sides of the lovesquare, even in the “ladynoir” search

One of the common mistakes I see for people relying on "AI" (LLMs and image generators) is that they think the AI they're interacting with is capable of thought and reason. It's not. This is why using AI to write essays or answer questions is a really bad idea because it's not doing so in any meaningful or thoughtful way. All it's doing is producing the statistically most likely expected output to the input.
This is why you can ask ChatGPT "is mayonnaise a palindrome?" and it will respond "No it's not." but then you ask "Are you sure? I think it is" and it will respond "Actually it is! Mayonnaise is spelled the same backward as it is forward"
All it's doing is trying to sound like it's providing a correct answer. It doesn't actually know what a palindrome is even if it has a function capable of checking for palindromes (it doesn't). It's not "Artificial Intelligence" by any meaning of the term, it's just called AI because that's a discipline of programming. It doesn't inherently mean it has intelligence.
So if you use an AI and expect it to make something that's been made with careful thought or consideration, you're gonna get fucked over. It's not even a quality issue. It just can't consistently produce things of value because there's no understanding there. It doesn't "know" because it can't "know".
Y’all heard of the love square, what about the relationship clusterfrick that is Chloe?
So, I’ve had several people asking me about this really old comic. I never finished it, and don’t really plan on it. It was going to be a sort of alternate ending to the last episode of Season 2 of Miraculous.
Anyway, enjoy what I’ve got :)

a hard pill to swallow: if an audience can pick up on where the story is going, it’s a good story.
