FRANCE HAS REACHED THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF SIGNATURES ON THE CITIZEN'S INITIATIVE AGAINST CONVERSION THERAPY IN THE EU!!

ONE COUNTRY DOWN, SIX TO GO!!

We also need still quite a few signatures in order to reach the one million required.

As to date, the six other countries with the most signatures are:

Spain - 38.72%

Finland - 30.31%

Ireland - 24.86%

Netherlands - 24.15%

Germany - 23.54%

Belgium - 23.09%

So yeah, still a long way to go, but we ARE slowly getting closer. Don't stop now! Don't let this stay within the community, either, if you have any friends or family who are open to queer rights, get them to sign, too!

I don’t often do political posts that’s actually written by me, but I’ve got to say something. The TikTok ban is absolutely terrifying. It’s censorship. I’ve seen people comparing the fall of American TikTok to the death of Vine; they’re not the same. The government didn’t ban Vine. It eventually shut down. We’d be distraught if TikTok did shut down, but it’s not like it’s actually shutting down. It’s a ban! The government is censoring us as citizens and it’s all about control. Twitter is hell and Facebook doesn’t fact check. The. Government. Is. Trying. To. Censor. Us.

I personally didn’t like TikTok much. I never used it but its platform made a huge impact on others. We got YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels because of that. We got access to unbiased news on TikTok because it was the news that was left off (or the true version) of what was on the shady news channels. This ban is dystopian and I truly fear for the country I live in.

This extensive collection of postcards is housed in the Wellcome Library in London, UK. The postcards were originally collected by social historian James Gardiner and depict an array of drag experiences throughout the twentieth century. The earliest postcards capture moments of military and navy soldiers and prisoners of war during WWI. Later photographs, like those from the 1960s, portray familiar scenes from bars like Club 82, a prominent drag bar in New York at the time.
