Thinking about mirror neurons and how there is a specific part of the brain for processing music. That our brains hold music as so fundamental to our functioning as language itself. How some of the most bond forming activities that we perform as a species are call and response. The transcendental experience of being in a sea of people repeating a tune in near perfect synchronicity.
We really live in a fucking novel. A guy who assassinated a health insurance CEO gets arrested within 24 hours of a marine who choked a homeless man to death geting acquitted. Both in the same city.
Boy I wonder what the justice systems will do
Fanfiction levels of irony overflow.

"Honor to Mangione,
Fuck insurance"

Remember earlier this year when Boeing very clearly had a whistleblower executed? And law enforcement didn't even look for anyone or release any info about it or anything?
People keep comparing Luigi Mangione's case to the subway murderer who got off because of systemic eugenics, but I think there's something more apt about the fact that a CEO had someone executed in recent memory, with zero attempts to find a culprit, while they spared no expense at all to find (and probably frame, it's beginning to look like) someone who shot a CEO. It's always fine to slaughter if you're rich, but if you kill the rich, they will hunt you down.
