I am going to do a thing

So, I've never written fanfiction. However, I have been slapped by the urge to write a fanfiction for Murder Drones. Might post the link here, see what the masses think. If I forget to do so before next week, somebody throw me an ask.

I'd never expected this to hit my dash in the year of 2024.

Well, I'm gonna do this- I need to dip my toes into the waters of Tumblr anyways, and this is inspiring.

The best thing to happen this month to me was renting my own home, and having everything go correct for once. It's nice for things to go as planned, don't you think?

Other than that, I've been stressed the hell out, and knowing I'll have somewhere I can say is mine makes it feel a bit better.

I want to try something.

I just got this idea while taking a shower, and realized how convenient it is that it's the last day of January.

This year, at the end of each month, I want to try to post what the best thing to happen to me that month was.

And I want to ask that you join me.

The best thing to happen to me this month is that I learned what is, in all likelihood, the culprit of a decade of off and on misery.

Looking back, I'm mad that it managed to be a decade. It shouldn't have been. There are a few different reasons it happened the way it did, but there's no changing what was, and the fact of the matter is; I now have the answer, and it will soon be fixed!

(February already has a strong contender for best thing to happen, lol!)

Now, I encourage you all to do this too! Think of the best thing to happen to you this month!

Got married to the love of your life? Awesome!

Finally learned to tie your shoes long after you became an adult? Sweet, new skill acquired!

Took a fifteen minute bike ride down the street? Dude, that's epic, look at you go!!

It doesn't matter to me how "big" or "small" it was--I know different mental states will change how big or small something feels. Just as long as it's something that genuinely gave you a spark of joy.

Post it! Reblog this or make your own post, I don't care! I just want you to acknowledge and SHOUT TO THE WORLD your experience of joy this month! And if anyone hates on you for it, they're being snots. Ignore them, block them if you have to. Just don't listen to them. Let your joy sink in!

PSA: BAD LITTERBOX

i don't usually make posts like this, but this is a truly upsetting topic to me as a lifelong cat owner, so i feel i have a duty to share my knowledge with others.

there is a type of automatic litterbox for cats being sold that is EXTREMELY dangerous and has killed numerous cats through blunt force trauma, suffocation, etc. this litterbox is being sold under different brand names and logos, so i will include the picture of the model and two links to informational videos with more evidence and eloquence than i am able to provide.

please consider not having this type of litterbox in your home for your furry friends. me and my 16 year old tortie, puddy, want the best for all your kitty friends
