[I keep hearing the peeps in Liyue refer to Zhongli as 岩王帝君 (Emperor of Rocks) and that makes me want to draw him in a 阎王 (King of Hell) outfit  esp after third wheeling that date with Childe (and also Childe basically being his sugar didi HAHA) 

which makes lots of sense for his Funerary Parlor job thing since 岩王 (King of Rocks) sounds exactly the same as  阎王 (King of Hell)]

You know, Xie Lian is capable, a very smart and strong person who can maintain a cool head in most situations, very independent but one thing about him is that he REALLY enjoys to be spoiled and being taken care of.

I think one of the things that got him so whipped was how gentlemanly was Hua Cheng? The umbrella and how he tipped it more to his side, him taking that bag of scraps from him after their first ride to puqi shrine or how he made the door, how he spoiled him in ghost city or him extending a hand to help him dismount from the rain master's ox and much more and more

Hua Cheng it's just a perfect gentleman with him, super thoughtful and everytime he does something like that his heart skips a beat and ofc he doesn't need it, he can dismount from an ox without problem and he doesn't need that someone takes care that he doesn't step in something "dirty" but he likes it, he likes it very much. In the bottom that spoiled prince of xianle is still pretty much there and Hua Cheng makes sure to nurture that side of him.

Hua Cheng started dressing in red after he met Xie Lian, and when Xie Lian caught him his robes were white, accentuated with reds and golds.

So did Hua Cheng just clicked it that because Xie Lian's robes are white, and on top he saw himself not worthy of Xie Lian, he just decided wear red to match those "under garments" of Xie Lian's robes, and then in the end it became like an iconic thing he needed to keep up with.
