Name the Mars 2020 Rover!
In 2020, we’re sending our newest robotic scientist to Mars, paving the way for humans to one day live and work on the Red Planet. The only problem? Our Mars 2020 rover doesn’t have a name yet! We’re calling on K-12 students across the country to find the very best name for our next robotic space explorer!
The Mission
Before we can send astronauts to Mars we need to learn more about the planet and its climate. This is where the Mars 2020 rover comes in. Its job will be to explore the Red Planet in search of signs of ancient life! It will also be tasked with characterizing the planet’s climate and geology, and collecting samples from its surface. Because of the groundwork laid by rovers such as this, humans will one day become an interplanetary species!

Keeping it on the DL
Got sidetracked today; this quarantine threw me for a loop! But now I’m working on a new mix. I’m hopeful it has a very happy ending, but some members of my party have a sour view of how I feel. (My brother says the woman I like doesn’t exist.) I have mail that hasn’t been opened and flowers that need to be watered, but it’ll have to wait ...

The day I left in the rain
I have many “worsts,” but the night where I left you in the rain gives me chills and my stomach knots just thinking about it.
I remember that I didn’t want to leave. I wanted to stay and find a way to make everything all right.
I was hurt when you tore my heart to pieces and slammed it on the pavement.
The next day, though, I was thankful to have been with you just for the short time we were together. (I had planned to pop the question the weekend after we broke up.)
Now I just want to find a way to jump to the end and see if what I think is what actually will be. (My mother says I’m putting the cart before the horse, which is true, but I feel pressed for time.)
I could live without you, but just typing those words made me cry, so I know what the real answer is: My life is not complete without you.
I’ve imagined it in many different ways. They all involve sunlight.
Pray for the virus victims. Let us pray that we will be back together again in time for summer!
