u guys are hearing my ideas about this now (some of it is based on actual salamander facts others are just like. my own mind)

cold-blooded

• can’t regulate their own body temps

• prefer cooler temps though (~65°-70°)

• ahsoka’s clothing is heat-regulated

partially nocturnal

• their native planet(s) is the perfect climate for them, so they are diurnal there

• off-planet they prefer cooler parts of the day & nightime

• most active around late afternoon/evening

love moist/wet environments

• swim very well

• can hold their breaths for a long time

• dry environments cause their skin to crack

• not acclimated to snow or deserts AT ALL

• salt isn’t great either (ahsoka still eats it tho because she likes it (it burns her tongue a little but it’s Fine))

• skin is moist to the touch (ew ik but they’re salamanders guys come on)

• have to drink Lots of water if they’re in a drier climate

primarily carnivorous

• will eat other things but prefer meat

• they eat bugs too

You didn't think Echo was going to make it back to visit Pabu by your birthday, so when an unexpected knock arrives at your door in the middle of your day, you aren't thinking much of it. It may be a neighbor or the post. You open the door, only half paying attention, and find a wonderful surprise: Echo standing with a lop-sided grin and his arms wide open.

After you get over your shock, and exchange many hugs and kisses, he offers to take you out for the day. You never really know what to do to celebrate, and Echo hasn't had any birthdays to celebrate, so you both decide to wing it. Walk around, enjoy the fresh air, and see what happens. A bookstore selling books you've had your eye on at discount. Some kids who invite you to play hopscotch.

When you start to get hungry, Echo recommends a restaurant that has great appetizers. You end up ordering a dish of each one and sharing. You catch Echo whispering to the waiter as you make a bathroom trip, but soon discover he'd tipped them off about your birthday as they come out with one of your favorite flavors of cupcake and sing you a song. You take the treat to go and share it with Echo back at home, snuggled under a blanket and enjoying a peaceful end to an unexpected birthday.

Everyone who died in order 66 is confused but maybe it’s a vision? Most of the inquisitors either panic or run to the nearest mind healer and burst into tears or trauma dump. Caleb Dume/Kanan is absolutely convinced he’s dead and this is the after life and no one can convince him otherwise. Obi-wan Kenobi sees smol Anakin and goes ‘shit just keeps happening huh’.

Ashoka Tano is disturbingly wise and knowledgeable for a youngling. Cal Kestis jumps up from class, yells “not today satan” stabs his crechemaster and jumps out the window (he thinks he got caught by the empire and drugged or something), he steals a ship and makes it all the way to Bogano and picks up BD-1 before Cordova find him getting his ass beat by local wildlife and drags him back to Coruscant. Cere is doing her best to comfort Jaro Tapal but he’s not reassured that Cal jumps out of windows all the time.

Plo Koon and Shaak Ti are scheming to get their sons back. Anakin is busy having a breakdown. Grogu just keeps asking for his Buir. Yoda, always ready for drama, let’s Caleb tell him all about his life and his family, asks what his padawan would want him to do. Caleb thinks about this for a minute and nods to himself. He builds a pipe bomb and duct tapes it to the bottom of Palpatines chair. And steals all the credits stashed in his desk.

Stop obsessing over how many chapters you can finish this month. Stop panicking about how long your novel will take to write.

Focus on today. Just today. Can you write 200 words? 500? One solid paragraph? Cool. Do that. Then do it again tomorrow.

You don’t need to finish the damn book in one sitting. You just need to show up. One day, one page, one stubborn sentence at a time.

That’s how books are built.
