I always wanted to try clay sculpting as a new hobby and here we are!! My first project was sculpting one of my favourite Sanrio characters, My Melody!

Clay sculpting is tough when I'm still a newbie but hey, first times are always messy and I'm okay with that 💕💕

Yeah I'm starting to appreciate this anime more nowadays. I wanted to represent Madoka in a yin and yang sorta thing. Where she ends up either of the two forms : A witch, Kriemhild Gretchen, or a goddess.

I am wondering now, is there a limit to just how wide he can rip his mouth open? Also does doing that hurt, or can he not feel it?

Let's have an anatomy class!

Here is an illustration of Enoch's mouth as usual.

See those outlines triangles in red? Those are the exposed inside flesh, which is the starting point of his mouth that would rip open.

Usually when his mouth opens wider, the farthest he could is....

This much, marked in green lines.

To answer your second question:

Enoch can somewhat feel his flesh tearing around his mouth. It's not painful but it has a numbness to it. He feels it, just not bothered because he's so used to it.

However, that doesn't stop there.

The true ends are hidden in his black, circular blushes on his cheek, the true limit of his mouth.

Can he open to the real edges of his mouth? Yes actually! It's just... he refuses to.

Even if he does, it still functions the same. Except it would feel rather painful due to how rarely he opens it.

Perhaps he wanted to keep the illusion. If he fully opens it too frequently, the lines would become much more visible over time. Ruining the perfect pitch black circles on his cheeks.

He'd feel quite insecure about that lol

Most art posts here have short descriptions. Though my personal reason is because it looks cleaner than lengthy descriptions.

Why? Idk other artists have them open. It seems fun!
