Big news! My next graphic novel is announced!! We pitched this as "Nobody puts Baby in the closet"
Charlotte Greenbaum at Abrams Fanfare has acquired Too Hot to Tango by E.E. Salo (l.) and Megan Kearney. Pitched as "Dirty Dancing but gay," the YA graphic novel follows Honey, sports camp counselor and soccer star, as she gets roped into being arts camp rival Teddi's competitive dance partner. The only problem is Honey can't dance, and she just may be falling head over heels for Teddi. Publication is slated for fall 2026; Susan Graham while at Einstein Literary Management handled the deal for world rights.
That’s right! A new anthology of comics about women and their swords is kickstarting NOW! I’ve got a fun new gender-bendy fairy tale retelling waiting for you: The Broom and The Blade! If you’ve got feelings about Princess Knight or the Ranma remake, you’re going to like this one.
I have a new collage 'zine for Small Press Expo!

I had no idea this was in the works until the article dropped (work for hire, am I right?) but Swan Lake: Quest for the Kingdoms is in development with Paramount Animation!
(on another note, credit your artist, people! The artist on a graphic novel is the director, choreographer, costumer, editor and all of the actors rolled into one).
WIP shots from Corpse de Ballet… I said I was going to be more economical with the art in this latest GN, but here we are again!
TCAF is this weekend!! You should go visit my friends for the Screen Tones stamp rally - visit these tables and grab a card to get stamped, and pick up a prize bag of various goodies when you’re done!
I am not tabling this year so I can rest and explore as a normie, but I will be wandering around and supporting my buddies. And you should too!
I’m very happy to announce that I’ve received a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to help with work on my upcoming book! I’ll be using these funds to pay for expert readers, research materials, art supplies and of course MORE BALLET
So, uh, to all the dancers who I know are gonna hate this book, plz remember I did pump government funds into the industry ❤️
A recent commission for a cover illustration to Josephine-Taylor’s web serial, The Monster and The Butterfly. This was an absolute dream to draw — Gothic castle? Determined heroine? Cheekbones for days?? BATB vibes??? It couldn’t have been more My Kind of Thing. The lovely @rosesnwater was the client, who you should definitely check out ✨
I have a new short story coming out soon, and this pretty much encapsulates it!

I have an unexpected three month gap in my schedule, and I'd love to pick up some freelance! I'm available to draw and write. I primarily work in sequential. I've got IP experience and I'd love cover work!
Process shots from making my faux Delftware Mew! This kit is like, ten bucks, so it’s a great choice is you want to experiment.
I sprayed it white. The plastic and the paint reacted strangely and it got a rough, pebbly surface, but I actually like the effect.
Painted and assembled!
But with some pretty obvious seams…putty time!
The putty finish helped a lot
I started working in acrylic craft paint (please ignore the terrible little paint pots on the right, those are from a craft my kid was doing at the same table!)
It came along better than I thought it would!
A close-up, and then time to glaze!
Lil fancy I drying after a quick and sloppy glaze job.
The results! From a distance it actually looks convincingly like china. I think I’ll try more in future!

Mood music while I edit the climax of Corpse de Ballet today.
This one is older, I can’t remember if I ever posted it here!
….my hand slipped
More Beauty and The Beast. They had so few carefree, affectionate moments in the story proper, I’m really enjoying an indulgent revisit with these.
We did a family Digimon watch a little while back, and my daughter’s favourite was Mimi <3
Some recent character design work. Alexis Rex and her friends! I'm really happy with the fusion between modern and classic dinosaur vibes. I wanted them to still feel iconically "dinosaur" but acknowledge all the leaps in our understanding of what a dinosaur actually IS.
