If you ever catch me drawing, 9/10 times i'll be drawing characters making moon eyes at each other / in a bed / looking sleepy (or in this case, all 3) Listen, make the content you want to see in the world right?

In the interest of giving my hand a break, here's something a little less refined - I really just wanted to draw Erica in this top of mine but i couldn't not add her boys. the terrible trio of my heart.

First time drawing all 3 of them, looking forward to capturing them better in the future 🫰

I've listed the ones I've done art for at the beginning but from there on I've just been adding whenever I came across something from my own liked songs that I could see stiles jam out to. Best on shuffle!

It ended up with so many of my hype favorites hahaha. if you put this on, say 'actually, what would realistically happen in this scenario is...' in the mirror 3 times and open a can of coke, you'll summon a ghostly apparition of me that'll poorly but enthusiastically dance in your kitchen.

Engaging in the time-honored tradition of drawing characters in your own clothes - workout edition :] running and powerlifting are my go-to activities

What I drew Derek in is probably the only matchy workout clothes I own, I usually go for comfort lol

Speaking of Sterek headcanon music, I think that Derek as millennial, he listened a lot of the classic punk and emo rock bands when he was a teen, and still listen to those band that are active. Linking park, Paramore, Evanescence , bring me the horizon, skillet and the Rasmus.

The Hales own and operate a ski resort, the Beacon Hills teens all go on a vacation there but since Stiles has a torn ACL he ends up spending more time with a certain grumpy employee while his friends go on the slopes ;)

Another huge recommendation - I'm a sucker for domestic scenes, 'you're intruiging in a way I can't put my finger on', and who doesn't love a lil' 'sharing body heat to stave off hypothermia'. The way this author writes dialogue and describes body language especially makes all their works a treat to read!

Me, having never seen or read twilight: the what

My subspecialty, i guess you could call it, is chronic pain - i did my master's thesis on sleep disorders in patients with chronic pain - so i've got a LOT of thoughts about the concept of 'stealing pain' in teen wolf.

The current definition of pain is

"an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with, or resembling that associated with, actual or potential tissue damage"

because pain is not purely a physical phenomenon, it's an experience not necessarily tied to any physical damage.

Of course you can delve into the different types of pain and argue that nociceptive and neuropathic pain is due to biochemical triggers (inflammation/tissue damage and nerve damage, respectively) as opposed to nociplastic pain - but even those are heavily modulated by how we perceive them.

In one of my psych classes we were shown a powerful example: In a segment from a local news station a lady had won a competition and as a reward she got a handful of minutes to 'empty out' a kitchen supply store - after all the excitement was done and she was being interviewed post-haul, suddenly a bystander points out that she's standing in a large puddle of blood. She'd dropped a knife into her foot at some point, resulting in a quite large gash. She'd felt nothing until someone pointed it out - endorphins, adrenaline, the works. (She was immediately attended to and recovered completely).

Studies show that pain perception increases dramatically in young, healthy subjects who were sleep-deprived even just for 24 hrs, and in the same vein stress, anxiety and distress also increases pain perception.

So where does that leave the idea of stealing pain in teen wolf? Rather than taking a physical representation of 'pain', maybe it's more stealing the perception of pain, the fear and distress?

Kind of a romantic notion, isn't it?
