And Squirrelflight thinks he’s going to attack her? Yeah…

truly i think squirrelflight probably has severe anxiety from both of her relationships w ashfur and brambleclaw…..like We Know This but truthfully i think the fact that she had these two dudes constantly projecting their insecurities onto her and misinterpreting whatever she said to be held against her, and holding her responsible for their shortcomings….i rly think she has a hard time getting closer to new cats esp new toms bc of them

i think its rly funny how ppl are acting like squirrelflight is "overrated" when she was one of the most hated/villified characters in the fandom for YEARS and ppl are only just now starting to appreciate her

i also think the fandom underplays how dovewing and bumblestripe’s relationship has… always been kind of bad. like people only ever bring up the funeral scene but their entire relationship is founded on dovewing being harassed and harangued by clanmates into choosing a thunderclan mate, bumblestripe specifically because he likes her and is therefore entitled to her attention and commitment
