So… I made another Hadestown fanart. This is a special occasion because Hadestown came to Mexico for the first time, and it just happened to be in my city! I had the miraculous opportunity to see it in person and receive a commission proposal to create a new illustration specifically for the cast that came to Mexico… so… here it is! After months of work!

this is the biyiniao, a bird from chinese mythology that has one (1) wing and one (1) eye. it needs to join up with a partner to fly or, yknow, basically do anything that requires a whole body. without its other half, the biyiniao is incomplete.

now who does that remind us of hmmmmmmm. i wonder who else feels incomplete and lacking a certain something, such as a soul? his name begins with a k and ends with an i t?
