A Dark Cave Of A Head

Hey remember this hero who appeared in Rising, who looked an awful lot like a Kaminari?

Well I do, she's labeled in the Credits simply as AA, which is a pity because she has an awesome design and seemingly neat quirk, some sort of electrical whip that she summons from between her hands.

Well I decided to draw her, and go with the popular fandom theory/in-joke, that's she's Denki's mother. So here she is.

Now I'm shit with human anatomy, I draw trains most of the time, so she looks rather funky.

I've named her Arashi, meaning Storm or Tempest, fitting of the Kaminari matriarch, her name Catanary is a miss spelling of Catenary, but I think it's better as Catanary seeing as it's three A's being Triple A as in the battery and in reference to her (In my writings) Three Children.

Speaking of which that's what the numbers up top represent, the age age which she had them all, her oldest Citron at 25, Denki at 29 and her youngest Eureka at 35, so she's doing really well for a 45 year old hero who had three kids.

In terms of personality I think she would be reasonably close to Jirou in that regards, they do have similar eye-designs, she's a sassy more reserved woman, who has a tendency to make fun of her kids for silly things they do, she even had a few self image issues in high school, but you wouldn't note that from the raw confidence she radiates, even at her height of 5'7.

She used to be one of the billboard sweethearts when she went fully pro at 21, but she met her soon to be partner at 22 and was interspersed when she wasn't raising at least one kid her longest run in the spotlight was when she was 32 which was about the time that Jirou got to see her on TV and the like, became one of her favorites, lost interest at seven so hadn't fully grasped her last name, and didn't realise she and Denki were related until second year.

I think she's pretty fun, and of course she'll be appearing in Peizo, she's just too cool not to.

And hey if anyone of you who are better at drawing humans want to have a crack at drawing her, please do she has such a lovely design that sadly went to waste for small scene at the start of a very good movie.

Good this threw me back like seven years.

Honestly the Xavier Institute would be pretty cool to be a semi canon Hero School in MHA.

My Hero Academia Romy?

Oh, you mean reverse X-Men? Lol it’s been a long time since I watched my hero academia but I think it would be an interesting crossover. The mutants would be absolutely pissed about non-quirk havers being treated like crap. Like we fought for “you guys equality and this is what you do???”

Anyways, heres a mha design for them based a little on their x men evolution designs cause high school student au. No offense, but I think the Institute kids would wipe the floor with class 1-A.

Some cool little attributes I have on these: gambits glasses help him tell how much kinetic energy he’s charged something with, and rogue has containment rope like eraser-heads containment tape

I think the thing about Denki is that yes he does do some of the same dumb pervy shit that Minoru does, but he really dialed back on it, off the top of my head he only did the Cheerleader and Pool ones, which was not a great idea, but at other points he seems genuinely discussed by Mineta's weirder actions, EG: Trying to spy on them whilst their naked.

I've always seen Kaminari as a more controlled Teenage boy, he has very clear lines on what he considers, and moved on rather quickly from trying to trick the girls, so he learned, now if only he could get that through to Mineta.

But I would have also like a bit of exploration on Mineta beyond his whole, let's be honest sexual assault, joke bit, like he's smart and a surprisingly good artist, like could we have gotten more of that Mineta, can we have him actually like straight up apologising to the girls, and saying full well none of them should accept it, because they shouldn't, but understanding that he does understand what he did was majorly wrong.

Could we not get something like that please.

Honestly that last part is really me wanting to do something with him that isn't a perv joke in my Fic, because he can be interesting, you just need to find the parts that are.

Denki Kaminari has pretty privilege and no one can change my mind.

Everyone hates Mineta but everyone loves Kaminari who is often beside him when he's doing creepy shit. Everyone overlooks it or even just forgets about his participation because they like him.

This is just interesting to me because it's such a clear example of pretty privilege in a way you wouldn't normally consider. My inner psych nerd is vibrating

Sidenote, apart from the asks I still have to answer, I’m calling a lid on these questions. Hope ya’ll understand!

He’s always had a knack with charming coaches, both on the MSR and SR. Trucks, barring that one accidental time, hardly act up with him either. On both railways, he took it upon himself to name every truck that wanted a name. (Spoiler alert: You’ll hardly ever find a truck that prefers being anonymous. And how can you blame them?)

Impressively, he seems not to have forgotten a single one. In 1955, several ex-MSR trucks were bought by the Skarloey Railway Preservation Society from Marthwaite Quarry. Peter Sam first brought them onto SR metals, and eagerly crowed his whistle for the other engines to meet “Ax, Ginny, Scrag, Chocks, Cobbles, Princess, Warpy, Whippy, Teahouse, Froghead, Twobits, Snappy, Alex-Vander, O’Tool-“ you get the point.

Peter Sam, then named Stuart, got along with his last driver on the MSR so well that said driver applied to the Peel Godred Works Railway to keep working with him. You should’ve seen his face when Driver Shaugnessy first turned up at the Aluminum Works with his rags and tools, it’d bring tears of joy to your eyes. They recrossed paths and worked together again when Shaugnessy was later a volunteer on the SR. I’d say his continued presence during those tumultuous years wherein Peter Sam moved between railways twice was a huge, huge boon to the little engine’s mental health. Shaugnessy retired from the footplate in 1976, meaning he was still around to see Peter Sam and Sir Handel reunite with their Granpuff.

Stepping forward she scoops the slightly shorter boy with comparative ease, cradling him, the sudden action makes him glow a pale shade of pink, his only response being.

Shoto: "ohh uhhh"

Momo: "Come on Todoroki, of we go"

The rest of the class watched with surprised faces as she bounced towards the main school, the flushed face of Todoroki visible just over Yaomomo's shoulder.

Jirou turned to Kaminari who was still gobsmacked trying to work out what had just transpired.

Kyouka: "No offence Denki I would literally sell my soul to be in his shoes right now"

Denki: "No no I completely understand there is no way on earth I would pass up that opportunity, Momo is one of my best friends, but I'd think myself crazy if I didn't want to be carried by her"

Kyouka: "Glad we're on the same page here"

Denki: "We wouldn't be in this relationship if we couldn't instantly be on the same page about being carried by our very tall friend"

Kyouka and Denki both nodded fervently, Yuga looked over towards a non-existent camera pointing over his shoulder with his thumb at the situation behind him.

Yuga: "Obtenez une charge de ces deux-là"
