Okay So I’ve Been Thinking About This For A While. That Fact That Sam And Tara Are So Different In

Okay so I’ve been thinking about this for a while. That fact that Sam and Tara are so different in hight, heath, and size. Like yes I know they don’t share a father but still it’s a dramatic difference. So what if there was a reason for that?

What if when Sam was born she was a bit off. Maybe she didn’t cry right away. The doctors take the child and rush her away to save her life. Mr. Carpenter was stricken with fear. His first born about to die. He had never felt so weak so helpless. He couldn’t bare to be near the child after that. So afraid it was going to die at any second. Completely choosing to ignore the fact that she was a heathy girl.

Then his worst fear hits. Christina says she’s pregnant again. He won’t let the same thing happen to his second child. So he pumps Christina full of medication. He’s read some articles on the internet swearing by these fake medical concoctions.

Only it makes everything worse. The medicine causes the baby to be born prematurely. The doctors say she’s got weak lungs and might not make it through the night.

This is all his fault.

No

He looks down at his oldest. Who’s wide eyed and standing on her tippy toes to see through the glass to get a glimpse of her baby sister. She then looks up at her father.

That’s when he sees it. The glint of evil in her eyes. This is her fault. If she had just cried like a normal child then he wouldn’t be saddled with a defective one.

His oldest then asks if the baby’s gonna be alright. He mumbles under his breath “she might have been if it wasn’t for you” thinking his daughter didn’t hear him he fixed his face and loudly told her “they don’t know but I’m sure it will be alright.”

But Sam did hear him. And that sentence haunts her mind to this day.

Enid can act like she hates Wednesday for what she did, but she will pause and she will stare during Wednesday's introduction

Because honestly?

The nightshade leader had no right to look so breathtaking. Maybe it's been so long or maybe it's the fact that she's literally just a stage away, but the moment Wednesday's hood dropped? So did Enid's mouth.

She's so pretty...

Enid's jaw tightens, absolutely thankful for the muzzle lining her mouth. The bars were thick enough that anyone far away wouldn't be aware of the way her teeth peaked and ached inbetween her lips.

Absolutely gorgeous.

"boss?" skoll asks, his brows pinching in worry and he follows where his alpha is staring. The beta scoffs at what he sees and like her, he bares his teeth."we'll beat their ass Big E, that I promise."

Enid doesn't say a thing, instead pressing her tongue along her teeth in anticipation.

"you actually say something right for once," Enid says, finally dragging her eyes away when the rest of the nightshades reveal themself. "I wonder what they have in store."

Skoll nods, puffing his chest out. "I always do!" and his smile is wild as he continues. "and no matter what they'll bring, we'll beat their ass! Absolutely pummel them to the ground and leave them gasping for mercy!"

Enid humms and she watches Wednesday leave her sight.

"can't wait to see that."

SOBBING.

Could you write a fic where Sam and Tara seem finally happy, they’ve just finished up their meal at a pizza place that is just a lil bit too cheap to not raise an eyebrow and are now walking home to their apartment before they get bombarded by conspiracy theorists. They go to hassle Sam aggressively shoving her and interrogating her before Tara charges at the theorist, knocking them over and pummelling their face with punches. This protection doesn’t come free, though as the theorists grab Tara and beat her up while same is unable to help. Sam’s guilt would drive her crazy after this

“Loomis”-

————————————————-

“You know, for someplace that only had two stars on Yelp, that hit!”

Sam threw her head back and laughed, pulling her sister in for a side hug. The pair had just finished eating at Guido’s Pizzeria, a family restaurant down the block from their new place. Tara had begged to try it, even though the Yelp reviews were dismal. So they did.

Kissing the side of Tara's head, Sam sighed. “You know, it wasn’t half-bad. The tomato sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but I’d try it again,”.

Tara hummed. “The garlic bread was good. I love garlic bread,”.

“I know you do, my love. I know you do,”.

Sam was so busy fussing with Tara's jacket that she didn’t notice the crowd of men approaching them.

That was her first mistake.

“Oh boys, look what we have here. The killer of Woodsboro!” crowed the ringleader, a shit-eating grin on his face.

Sam moved Tara behind her, eyeing the men forming a circle around her. The two sisters both had tasers and knives on them, but six full-grown men were surrounding them. They would have to be smart about this.

“I think you’ve heard wrong. I’m no such thing,” she carefully said, watching as one of the men started cracking his knuckles.

The ringleader laughed again, a cold, calculated laugh. Tara gripped her wrist harder, her hands shaking. Sam stood straighter, one hand in her coat pocket, grasping the knife hiding there.

He quickly got up in Sam’s face, grinning wider at how both sisters flinched. “No, I think I’m right. You’re the bitch who murdered all those people. And enjoyed it. You’re bold to walk around this city, Sam, the murderer,”.

She bristled, eyes darkening. “I’m not my father. But if you ask nicely, I’m sure I can do a good impersonation of his work. Now back up before I make you,” she growled.

Grinning, he got nose-to-nose with Sam. “I’d like to see you try, Loomis,.”

Her second mistake was not punching him first.

Instead, chaos erupted. Within a blink of an eye, Tara jumped on the guy, screaming that she was not like her father, and pummeled him with a barrage of punches. The other guys, along with Sam, were frozen in shock, watching the man get beat up by a five-foot girl.

Her third mistake was not reacting first.

As she reached down to pull Tara off the guy, the other boys regained their confidence quicker. Two guys yanked Sam up, forcing her to her knees, her arms behind her back. The other three easily plucked Tara off their ringleader, holding her up in the air by her armpits.

The ringleader got up, wiping blood off his nose. He pointed at Sam, and she smiled at the damage Tara had done, despite the fear running through her.

“I’m surprised you let your sister hit first. Maybe you’re not your father's daughter,”.

Tara squirmed in their grip, trying to get free. The ringleader smiled a cold, bone-chilling smile. Before he spoke, Sam connected the dots on what would go down.

“But somebody has to pay for the deaths in Woodsboro. And your sister will be our penance,”.

With that, he advanced on Tara, despite Sam’s pleas and Tara's squirming. Reaching into Tara's jacket pocket, he pulled out the pocketknife.

He waved the knife in Tara's face, smirking at her eyes widened with fear. “Aw. You were gonna use this on me, weren’t you? I wish you did. It would’ve made what would happen next more fun,”.

And with that, he punched Tara in the gut, and Sam let out a scream she never knew she could make.

She doesn’t remember much after that. For every two punches they threw at Tara, one was thrown at Sam. Eventually, she lost track, and Tara stopped crying out.

They gave up after a while, throwing down Sam and letting Tara's limp body hit the ground.

Fighting the urge to black out, Sam reached out for her baby sister. Tara was covered in blood, bruising blossoming over her closed eyes. She wasn’t moving, yet Sam could tell she was still faintly breathing.

The whole image of her sister tore Sam apart. It was yet again another bloodbath she could’ve stopped.

But what made Sam’s breath catch in her throat were the words that were scratched onto her sister’s arm.

Sam Loomis

—-

Sam doesn’t remember getting to the hospital. It was all so sudden.

Flashing lights, questions, and people strapping her down into a gurney.

“I need to see my sister. I need to be by her,” she gasped, wincing as the paramedic stuck a needle in her arm.

The paramedic gently pushed her down again, silencing her. “She’s in the other vehicle. I need you to lay down, Ms. Loomis,”.

She jerked back up, crying out at the pain in her ribs. “It’s not fucking Loomis. I’m Sam, Sam Carpenter!” she spat out.

“Okay, I’m sorry, Ms. Carpenter. My mistake. It was just written on your sister’s arm, that’s all,”.

Laying back, Sam felt woozy. The medication was hitting. Was that a sedative? She hasn’t been sedated in so long. Where was Tara? She should be here.

“Loomis,” she mumbled, drifting off into a drugged sleep for the rest of the ride.

——

“Listen, if you don’t let me see my fucking sister right now, I’ll add more bodies to my list. I swear to god!”

The nurse pushed Sam back down into the bed. “I told you, I’m not afraid to restrain you. Your sister is in the ICU recovering from surgery. No guests right now. Now sit!” she said crossly.

Sam threw her hands back in exasperation. “I’m already stuck in this fucking bed. I want to see her, please!”

She wasn’t above begging anymore. She was stuck in a hospital with her ribs wrapped in gauze and stitches above her eye- and heavily medicated. It wasn’t like she was going anywhere else besides her sister’s side.

“No, Sam. I’m sorry. Maybe later,” the nurse sympathetically said, closing the door softly behind her.

Groaning, Sam laid her head back against the bed. She fucked up. She fucked up tremendously. Once again, due to her lack of awareness, she had gotten the sisters into a perilous situation.

And once again, Tara was hospitalized.

It was as if Sam was incapable of being a protector. She is incapable of taking care of someone that depended on her.

Sam knew deep down that those men were right. She was a killer. She took after her father. She knew all that, and she knew it well.

But she always took pride in how much she loved Tara. How Sam could anticipate her needs, calm her fears, and make Tara feel loved. She knew she could provide that stable love and home Tara craved and deserved.

Yet again, Sam repeatedly proves to the world that she’s a complete and total fuck-up. Unable to take care of the one person who truly matters. She was a failure in all accounts of the world.

She kept her eyes closed and breathed slowly. Deep down, she knew that if she looked into her reflection, she would see Billy.

And he would smile back at her, thanking her for following in his footsteps.

Sam Loomis.

The Girls end up at the hospital for the umpteenth time

Wednesday barges in the room to find the werewolf, vampire and siren lying down in their usual hospital beds

Wednesday: Okay. Which one of you did it this time.

Yoko: Don’t look at me! I wasn’t the one driving!

Wednesday: I’m looking at Enid. Babe. What happened?

Enid: No, no, no this time it wasn’t my fault! I was the one driving but it was Divina’s fault.

Divina, sighing: Yeah it was.

Wednesday: You? I expected more out of you, Fisher. It’s usually these idiots that cause the trouble. What happened?

-earlier in the car-

Enid, driving: Come on! We’ve never heard you sing!

Divina: I’m bad okay! I sound like a dying whale, you guys don’t want to hear me.

Yoko: Oh come on, babe. Not even for me?

Divina: Not even for you babe.

Enid: Oh come on! Sing for us! Sing for us!

Enid and Yoko: Sing for us! Sing for us! Sing for us!

Divina: OKAY SHUT UP THE BOTH OF YOU. Okay. Here it goes-

-back to the hospital-

Divina: Yeah….. so that was my bad.

Wednesday:

Wednesday: You put them to sleep with your singing.

Divina, sighing: I put them to sleep with my singing.

All For Us

Pairing: Amber x Tara

Summary: Tara realizing that Amber became Ghostface for the sake of their relationship.

Words: 1.2k

Special shoutout to @writing-rat because without you, I probably wouldn't have written this

All For Us

Coming out of surgery, Tara couldn’t believe she was alive. She thought she was going to die while Ghostface was standing above her. She didn’t think she would make it through surgery, but she woke up in a dark white hospital room aching in pain, a splitting headache, and a dry throat from the oxygen. It nearly made Tara wish she had died.

Grabbing the bedside remote, Tara hit a button to call for a nurse who promptly arrived.

The nurse knocked before entering. “Good morning, sweetie.” She slowly approached her. “How are you feeling?”

“Like I’ve been stabbed repeatedly.” Tara answered dryly. “Can I get some pain meds?”

“You’re scheduled for another round at nine.”

“What time is it?”

“A little after eight.”

Tara nodded. “Can I have some water, please?”

“I’ll be right back.”

The nurse returned with water and laid Tara’s phone on her bedside table. “The police did take some evidence off here, but we wanted to make sure it was charged for you.”

“Thank you, I appreciate it.”

The nurse walked out after a short questionnaire on how she was feeling leaving Tara alone once more. She felt uneasy.

Seeing the texts from her friends specifically Wes asking if she was ok. She sent each of them a text stating she was awake with a pounding headache. A lingering feeling of fear was setting back in as she swallowed hard and dialed her mother’s number.

The dial tone repeatedly sounded out making her eyes start watering. “Come on, please pick up.” She didn’t want to be alone right now. “Please, mom.”

The dial tone stopped to Tara’s surprise. “Mom, I-”

“You have reached Christina Carpenter, please leave-” Tara hung up before the answering machine could finish.

She threw her phone down as she let the tears fall. It had been so long since she had to experience the wave of abandonment. Her mom rarely answered. Her dad and Sam both left her.

The only person Tara felt like she truly had was Amber, but even then it was a game of hot and cold with her girlfriend.

Without a knock, Amber rushes through the door and to Tara’s side.

“Are you ok? They’re going to find out who did this. I won’t let anyone hurt you.” She pushed herself as close as she could to Tara to hold her. “I’m so sorry, babygirl. I love you so much, I’m glad you’re still here.” She pulled back holding Tara’s head with her hands. “Am I allowed to kiss you?”

Nodding before receiving a crushing kiss.

“Why are you crying? Are you in pain? I can go track down your nurse.”

Shaking her head. “I’m better now that you’re here.”

The taller girl sat down next to Tara’s bed. “When did you wake up?”

“About an hour ago.” She answered, reaching out for her girlfriend’s hand.

Amber squeezed her hand. “What happened? I showed up and there were police and ambulances everywhere.”

“I was making dinner and-”

A knock cut her off with a police officer walking through. “Excuse me, I need to ask a few questions.”

“Ok, that’s fine.” Amber answered for the injured girl.

The officer stumbled on their words. “Alone, preferably, but if you’d like for your friend to stay.”

“I’m her girlfriend, asshole.”

Shaking her head and letting out a frustrated sigh. “It’s fine, Amber. It will only be a few minutes.”

A few questions in, Tara just described what she was doing and the phone calls along with the texts. She was as descriptive as possible but started feeling her body starting to produce adrenaline.

“Calm down, kid, we’ll find them.” He said attempting to reassure the teen. “Just one more question. Is there anyone that may want to do this to you?”

“No, I have no idea who would do this. My family isn’t around. I only have my girlfriend and friends.”

He hummed in thought. “Be careful, there are certain people that will prey on that.”

A few more questions, medicine rounds, and their friends joining them, Tara sensed that Amber wanted to be alone with her. Her girlfriend’s nails dug into her hand as Wes asked, concerned with Tara’s safety and well-being.

Before she left after Sam asked to speak to her alone, she leaned over and gave Tara a sloppy kiss. “Let me know if you need anything. I will not hesitate to come here.”

The gunshot rang out and Tara watched as Liv’s body flew against the wall before slumping down. She didn’t know if she had screamed or not. Her body had naturally moved itself closer to Amber for comfort with her brain not registering that the gunshot came from her.

She was filled with disappointment when Sam admitted to why she left, Amber ignored her messages begging for her to come stay with her.

-

“Welcome to act three.”

In the midst of the chaos, Tara felt herself being grabbed and dragged away. Pain shot through her body from her injuries. The person who grabbed her seemed to not realize they had her bad hand either.

Being dragged up the stairs, she closed her eyes from the pain and when she reopened them, she noticed she was in Amber’s room. A room that felt special. She had her first kiss in this room, her first experience with being drunk, and now it was going to be where she dies.

“Fuck, fuck.” Amber panted out and accidentally threw Tara to the floor. “Shit, dammit. Are you ok?”

Tara cried out from the pain. “What the fuck, Amber?”

Amber got down on her knees in front of the small girl. She wiped the hair out of her face. “I’m so sorry, baby. I never meant for you to get hurt.”

“Fuck you!”

“You don’t mean that. I was trying to fix this.” She got up and pulled out tape from a drawer. “I promise, you won’t get hurt. Just stay here and be quiet. I’ll come get you as soon as this is over.” She kissed Tara. “I love you.”

“Why?” She cried out.

“Sam hurt you so much. You didn’t deserve that.”

Shaking her head. “Amber, please.”

“Tara, baby, this has all been for you. It was for you, for us.”

“You killed our friends.” Tara pleaded. “Please, stop.”

The taller girl placed tape on her lips. “You’ll see, everything will be better after this.” She wrapped the tape around her arms tying them together. “I promise.” She placed a kiss on the tape covered mouth, I love you, Tara Carpenter. Until death do us part.”

She screamed after being shoved in the closet and engulfed in darkness.

After Sam had freed her, she saw the slight hesitation before guilt flashed in Sam’s eyes. The time in her closet allowed her to review her relationship with Amber. The gaslighting and jealousy ran deep in their relationship. Despite Tara never growing feelings for Wes, the fact that he was a close friend was enough for Amber to want him dead.

A final gunshot rang out.

Her hands were shaking. “You were a shitty girlfriend.”

Hands covered her’s as they took the gun. “It’s ok.”

Allowing herself to break down in her sister’s arms.

Some insane, narratively-significant details in the first episode of Yellowjackets, from the set designers, costume designers and directors:

- The journal separating Shauna and Jackie:

image

- Taissa’s wallpaper being a forest, linked to her trauma due to the wolf attack and to her sleepwalking:

image

- Jackie and Shauna’s jackets and necklaces having very few differences, hinting at how deeply intertwined their lives/identities are:

image
image

- Natalie in front of fireplaces, as fire will destroy the cabin right after her coronation and she’ll have the front seat to the fires during the… dinners:

image
image

- Natalie already singled out from the team due to very different shoes:

image

- Natalie’s bullet necklace, as both her past and future are linked to firearms:

image

- The Shauna antlers, right after putting on the necklace of doom, just as she’s (already) entering an altered state of mind:

image

- Ben’s right leg being already cut off:

image

- The colors of their tamagotchis, which are Jackie’s color panel for college:

image
image

- The enormous amount of Jackie symbolism:

• Poppies surrounding a picture of Jackie and Shauna in Jackie’s room, as the wallpaper of Shauna’s teen room though she was trying to cover it, on Shauna and Jeff’s wedding cake

image
image
image

• The pattern of Jackie’s dress as a painting in Shauna’s house (on the far right):

image

• Shauna going from wearing a heart necklace without a gold chain before the plane, to a heart necklace with a gold chain, to a gold chain without a heart:
