“What were the Beatles really like? She’s asked this every day. “Very irreverent, very flirty,” she says, “just like my own boys growing up. That John Lennon was a very naughty boy. He preferred men. He was very shy with women, you know, trying to get confidence in himself with that naughty schoolboy humour, that catch-the-girl, kiss-the-girl thing. If you came on as a siren, he’d run a mile.””

SOBBING I LOVE THEM
MY BEAUTIFUL BOYS 😭😭😭
i see pictures like this and i’m reminded that they were just four guys. four friends. they had inside jokes that no one else in the world understands or even knows about. they have stories that are kept secret, memories that are legends. they probably teased eachother over their sleeping habits or if their socks smelled. they laughed until they cried and knew each others favorite holidays and pet peeves.
they were the biggest band in the world, yes, but they were really just four guys. four friends who miraculously fell into the positions they were in.
