Joe couldn’t help but feel insecure every time Donald interacted with Kim. He knew they used to date, and he knew about the love letters they wrote. He felt insecure next to North Korea’s short king himself. And the skibidi Biden rumors weren’t helping his case. “Everything alright, Joe-san?” Joe turned around to stare into Trump’s large, blue, neurodivergent orbs. “Y-yes, Donald-Chan.” He sheepishly replied. “Hey, Joe, look at me.” Trump grabbed his chin and tilted his head up towards him. “No one can replace you.” 

“O-o-oh!” Joe stuttered. (He seemed to do that a lot these days.) “You… knew what I was thinking about?” “Of course, Joe. I can read you like the Declaration of Independence. I know you’ve been jealous of Kim for years.” Donald gazed at him, pensively, and sympathetically. “Well, it’s just, all these other men! Like Vladimir, and Elon…” “They mean nothing to me.” Donald told him. “Just past flings. They were temporary. You… are forever.” Joe softened under Donald’s loving gaze, relieved at last.

I would like to add that capcom as a company does not generally play into romance the only characters that I can think of that are made by capcom and romantically involved are Mia winters and Ethan winters and wesker and his I think wife from the resident evil franchise but both marriages were there to further plot development

Yet there are implications to a romance between multiple characters in the same franchise but they left it to fans interpretations Leon Kennedy and Ada wong have slept together which was confirmed by the writers yet they really don’t have much romance between them Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield were going to be lovers but capcom scraped the idea and left it up to fans imagination then you have the homoerotic behavior between Chris and Piers and Leon and Luis but (spoilers for the endings of RE 6 and RE 4 ) the ending characters die at the end. But alas I don’t know I could just be over analyzing things

I know we all joke about the AA writers and Capcom themselves feeding into the Narumitsu/Wrightworth ship.. But after sitting to think on it, it’s actually intriguing.

Because if you take the time to look at official AA stuff like merchandise, interviews or articles that mention Phoenix and Edgeworth, no one really refers to their bond as being familial like brothers or siblings. This is something that’s pretty exclusive to their respective friends, like Phoenix and Maya as siblings, and obviously Edgeworth and Franziska. But in reference to Phoenix and Edgeworth’s relationship, no one, not even official sources or the staff who worked on AA think of them as having a sibling-like bond.

Kinda makes it interesting and adds a bit of introspect into how most see Phoenix and Edgeworth as more romantically coded?
