Love love love characters that present themselves as emotionally open social butterflies but the more you see of them the more obvious it is that they’re the most closed off fuckers in the story. Sure, they want to help you with your personal problems and messy emotions, but if you turn that shit back on them, they’ll shut down or deflect every time. Why are you sticking your nose in their business anyway? It’s not like it matters. They’re not a person, they’re just a role being played. They’re the guy who fixes things and saves people. OMG! I just found your blog today and binged EVERYTHING I could find. Girl, don’t listen to any haters, you do you. Your writing is so, SO GOOD! IBLD is great, but the older AU? Chef’s kiss, 1000000/10. Maybe it’s just me, but I just think the angst in it, the darker plot is just more interesting.

I just like how older reader knows the guys are serious red flags and still goes for the guys as an attempt on control over her own life. I can see the older reader fighting back even more, not giving an inch at all knowing the batfam will take a mile, whether she takes up Slade’s offer or not.
