Oni Kirishima finding small dragon Bakugo

Bakugo in smol dragon form trying to stand on his hind legs to be tall but he barely reaches Kirishima's ankles.

Bakugo is also very bitey when small and constantly latches onto Kirishima's claws when the oni tries to pet him. It only tickles the oni.

After slowly earning Bakugo's trust (and also feeding him the best pieces of meat and praising him) the dragon doesn't stray too far from the Oni when they travel.

During the day Bakugo likes to show off his flying skills, how quick he is to reach a tree before the oni.

A fiesty and competitive thing he is.

But Kirishima humors him, throwing him a piece of jerky as a reward for another win.

When Bakugo's wings gets tired, Kirishima offers him to perch on the oni’s shoulders. The dragon scoffs and lands on Kirishima’s head, curling his tail around one of the oni’s horns for balance.

The dragon sits up with a smug grin.

Now he’s the tallest!

Oni’s are not morning creatures but dragons apparently are. Bakugo loves to wake Kirishima up by head butting him in the face, chittering as if scolding him that he’s wasting daylight.

“Bakugo no, it’s too early, let me sleep.”

*Bakugo head butts him again*

“Sleep.” Kirishima grunts as he rolls over to turn his back on the dragon.

Bakugo does not like to be ignored.

Usually Bakugo would be petty enough to bark out a small flame to set something of Kiri’s on fire.

Other times he just wants attention. So he will keep head butting Kirishima until the oni gets annoyed enough to grab the dragon and cuddle him to his chest so he doesn’t move.

Victory.

Kirishima can still remember fondly the first few nights of camping, the small dragon would curl himself into a ball in the center of the fire, watching him warily. Hissing if Kirishima made any sudden movements.

One night when he was polishing his club and checking for cracks he could hear movement from the fire. He kept his eyes focused on his weapon but his ears trained on the quiet scuttle of claws against the ground that was steadily moving closer to him.

A few moments later he felt Bakugo slowly rub the side of his small body against his thigh. Only then does he lower his gaze to meet the dragon.

“Hello Bakugo, did you want something?”

Bakugo huffs, looking at the club resting in Kirishima’s lap back to Kirishima.

In the next moment Bakugo crawls over Kirishima’s lap and swipes the club off of Kirishima’s lap so he could circle around a few times to settle in its place looking comfy and smug. The oni snorts.

“You could have just asked you tiny terror.”

When He Lost It

Dabi knows something is wrong long before he comes upon your shared home, tucked deep into the woods, away from law and outlaws alike. He’d stumbled upon the cabin a little while before you’d gotten married and spent the coming weeks staking it out, ensuring you’d be safe and unbothered here whenever he was gone. Finding the old place had been a blessing in disguise as he worked out how to tell you about what he really did, who he really was, too afraid to see the love in your gaze turn away from him in horror.

He knows the hidden trail like the back of his hand, knows the tell-tale signs that you’re awake and busy keeping your home flourishing. Welcomes the familiar feeling of relief that washes over him, knowing he’s safe here and can wash his hands of all the blood he’s spilled, at least for a little while.

But there’s no smoke coming from the chimney as he rounds the bend, no dog barking out a warning as it runs to greet him a few feet inside the treeline, and your horse is missing from the paddock next to the kitchen window when your home finally comes into view.

He doesn’t realize how wrong things are until he sees the blood on the front porch steps, panic overtaking him as he spurs his horse into a run to close the distance and practically leaping off, stumbling in his rush to burst into the house.

He didn’t expect the door to be hanging off a single hinge, and his hand shoots for his gun when it topples over with a crash. He tries to calm his breathing, but fear has a tight grip on his heart, and he can’t seem to get enough air in.

“Darlin’?” he calls out shakily, eyes tracing the blood spatters that seem to be spread everywhere, all over the broken furniture and shattered plates as he passes the kitchen. He keeps one gun poised in front of him when he starts up the stairs, swallowing back bile when he sees the large puddle of blood on the top step.

He’s never been the praying man, but at that moment, he does. Silently, he begs for it not to be yours. Begs any higher being that maybe the dog got hurt by something wild, panicked, and ran around before you could catch him. Or perhaps someone did get in, but you were tough enough to handle it, and he’d find you huddled in the closet, teeth bared and ready to protect yourself. He prays all the way to your bedroom, the air rushing out of his lungs at the sight of the door removed from the frame, leaning against the wall.

no really bc i think intimacy with dabi is probably so...........frustrating and awkward, in the beginning like. he does NOT want to dive into that. he does not want to open up that way and he doesn't even know how
