Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:

There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. see i think a common misconception is that autistic people dont get sarcasm. while some dont, a lot of us actually enjoy sarcasm - we just cant read tone. i love being sarcastic, but if someone else is being sarcastic and theyre totally deadpan, 9/10 times i wont pick up on it. yall need to inflect.

1. You are responsible for your own media experience. 

2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.

3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.

4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.

5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.

prison is fucked up regardless but the fact that you can do a prison sentence for copyright infringement is especially insane to me. you deserve to lose your autonomy because we might have potentially made money from that thing. i imagined you did a crime against me so now one day you'll have to hear your son ask his mother who you are.

Shut up and maybe think about how hollywoods biases might affect their portrayal of certain regions because THATS what we were talking about. Not the concept of color grading) and then he got really mad at me because I was like "omg you're so right" and started waxing poetic about how the blue filter on twilight was the best example of color grading I'd ever seen in film because it perfectly encapsulates the misery of the pacific northwest
