When I was younger, I was always fascinated by how people living through major events throughout history were always so focused on their day to day lives. When I read diaries and primary sources, people would be talking about huge events with worldwide significance but they would just be...living their lives. Like COME ON a world war is happening and your main area of focus is how the rationing sucks and how you want to go to dances and stuff after All This Is Over?

But I get it now.

Now I understand.

As a gentile,

I will happily, happily absorb antisemitism to prevent it from reaching/getting to Jewish people. Happily 😊

I came upon your page recently, and in a very short time have learned a lot about Jewish culture, Jewish history, and the challenges that Jewish people face. I want to express my sincere appreciation. I am a non-Jew, and the more I learn, the more eager I am to actively engage/disrupt anti-semitism when it happens - as best I can. Thank you so much! When I originally started this account I imagined my audience would be only other Jews, and I kinda thought it would be the community kvetching and kvelling about different things the community faces and goes through. I ended up finding that a lot of gentiles actually are interested in learning about Judaism, which was really surprising and encouraging. So thank you too!

Hypocrisies of social justice movements:

- Advocate free thinking and intellectual curiosity, but frequently engage in intellectual dishonesty and censorship when it disagrees w/ their prerogative

- "Freedom of speech for me but not for thee"

- Denounce dehumanization, but commit it frequently when people are "canceled"

- Claim to value the ability of discomfort to help people learn/change, but frequently defame ("cancel") individuals whose arguments make them uncomfortable, regardless of how realistic those arguments might be

- Use character assassination and censorship to have their way, no matter that this directly contradicts their principles of social justice

- Accept little to no criticism, despite criticizing endlessly

- Advocate 'embracing diversity,' but will dismiss/denounce/defame/demonize those who acknowledge differences and who insist that such differences should not be overlooked, and should instead be honored

- Appoint themselves the arbitrary arbiters of right and wrong: judge, jury, and executioner on every issue

They do all of this in the name of social justice

I appreciate what these movements are trying to achieve. But the lack of situational/self-awareness in them is astounding. They are isolating themselves in an echo chamber. They are losing people.
