Everytime I see people rallying for a netflix tv show of twilight I die inside. Yeah sure I get you want more supernatural found family but uh, have you forgotten how deeply racist the original books are? its one thing to like, joke about a not fucked up version of twilight on this hellsite where you don’t really have any influence and nobody cares but a netflix deal would make crazy amounts of money and again, be a tv show that focuses on how funny the white main characters are at the expense of like, every single native american in the series. that’s not something you can justify with like “oh but it would just be so cute! give me chaotic emmett lol!”
like you can’t always pick the book your brain gets stuck on but your personal fondness does not mean its acceptable to financially support giving even more money to a wealthy bitch who hasn’t given the Quileute tribe a cent after twisting their sacred legends for her own personal gain. and while we’re at it y’all fucking better not be purchasing midnight sun bc you just really want it and YES that applies to the ppl out here with the hot take of “well you made memes about midnight sun so that means you gotta accept the fact that ppl are gonna buy it if they want to buy it and thats FINE”
can y’all STOP being transphobic towards nb people for 5 fucking seconds please it’s literally such an easy concept to grasp and yet y’all will do anything to convince yourselves that it’s either something it’s not, or it can’t possibly exist like please just.
- nb people can use whatever pronouns they want
- they can dress however they want
- they can date whoever they want (and their partner can be any sexuality as long as the nb person is comfortable)
- they can call themselves whatever identity they want
ITS. SO. SIMPLE.
respect all non binary people and their identities or get stabbed
