Hunting for merfolk. Another one in the "captured in a net" series, a merman dodging a harpoon and trying to escape the net. Some haunting motifs for this Mermay, inspired by my life at the moment. Will continue this series of pendants, the mood is perfect

Black Widow’s director Cate Shortland on ‘involuntary hysterectomy’ clap-back
“So Eric, who is our writer, had written a joke about women being in bad moods because they have their period, Shortland recalls. And I remember Florence and Scarlett and I reading it and just being like, ‘Oh, my God, this is ridiculous.’
The director says she almost cut the joke entirely, but after discussing with her actors, ultimately decided to “answer it.” She didn’t clarify if that meant improvising on the day of or going back for traditional rewrites, but the outcome was the final digression on involuntary hysterectomies.
I love it, Shortland says. Because it’s like, if you’re gonna make that joke, I’m gonna unleash Florence Pugh on you. She’s gonna Yelena you. It’s one of my favorite moments in the film.”

Was made with trans and non-binary art students!
“Sing for the oak tree The Monarch of the wood; Sing for the oak tree That groweth broad and good; That groweth green and branching Within the forest shade; That groweth now, and yet shall grow When we are lowly laid.”
— The Oak Tree, Mary Howitt (via worldofcelts)
i should make a low-effort cookbook
like you get those ‘i hate to cook! 101: easy meals for the kitchen novice!’ and it still wants you to make a three-cheese spinach casserole
mine would be like
did you know you can put chocolate chips on a spoonful of peanut butter and obtain the perfect snack
did you know if you crack some eggs into your pasta sauce and stir there’s more protein in it so you can go longer without having to make another goddamn meal
did you know you can mix a cup of cooked rice to any condensed soup instead of water and now you have dinner and breakfast
also put cheese on it
put cheese on fucking everything
and finally here’s a list of things you can microwave in a short enough time that you won’t walk out of the kitchen, go back to bed, fall asleep for four hours, and totally forget you attempted a lunch
i think one of my fave shark facts is this thing that some species of sharks do where they sorta peek their heads out of the water to see whats above the surface…..its called spyhopping and great white sharks do it all the time
A practice is something you built, it’s very organic like an ecosystem of rituals, knowledge, words, material objects, ressources. Like the branches of a tree it sometimes dies and sometimes branches out, you builds more in one direction or choose to work more in another one. Even if you feel like you are stagnating in your practice, or you don’t know what direction to choose, you have to start somewhere. And with time you build your practice like the gardener maintains their garden.
