Arthur with a reader who hates alcohol?
This is such a cute idea!! I changed it slightly?
Description: Meeting a cute girl at the pub leaves Arthur in a dream like state. All he has to remember her is a coke...and her number.
"Wow, you drink all those yourself?" Arthur heard, looking up he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
He looked at the table, all his mates left their empty glasses with him. Arthur had been too invested in his online chess to even notice them leaving.
"No! Only like..none?" He said, which wasn't untrue. He had a can of pepsi "just this" he pointed to the line can. The girl nodding and sitting at the table next to his
"So I'm guessing your friends left you?" He nodded "same, apparently they saw a karaoke machine" she said with a huff. Arthur nodded giggling. As she was talking he noticed the things she was holding. A can of coke and her phone,
"Where do they have coke!?" Interrupting her to ask she looked down at her hand. Her placing it down infront of him.
"You can have it, if you want?" She offered "I brought it from home, I'm the designated driver" Arthur shook his head.
"I can't take yours!" She pushed the can closer to him. Him picking it up, surprised It was still cold
"I insist, maybe you could give me your number as a thank you?" She asked, her cheeks becoming warm at the offer.
Arthur quickly closed the chess app and opened it to his contacts and handed her the phone.
"I wouldn't mind having your name too?" He asked, his cheeks also now warm with embarrassment. He was sure his friends were going to tease him for having the girl ask him rather than the reverse.
"I'm Y/n" she handed back his phone, the name and number entered along with a text "and you?"
"I'm Arthur" he cracked open the Coke, and took a sip. Watching her as she made him a contact, he was caught off guard when she aimed the camera at him and snapped a pic for the contact photo.
"Could I buy you a drink?" He offered, her saying no and explaining she didn't drink, not that she disapproved of it, just wasn't her thing.
The two spent a few hours chatting, mostly about their friend groups and where they grew up. She was smart, witty, funny, and laughed at all his jokes. He could feel his cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
"I should probably go find my friends now, they get weird when I'm not around" as if on que a loud groaning of Y/ns name was heard. The two shared a chuckle before she wandered off.
Just as soon as she left Chris came over to the table. Seeing the googly eyes Arthur was giving the girl walking away he smirked
"Has someone stolen your heart hmm?" He asked as he slapped his back. The touch scaring Arthur a little.
"Yeah..well no!" He was now completely red "we exchanged numbers and she gave me this" he lifted the coke.
"Wow" Chris raised his eyebrows "she's a keeper. But if you're ready to come back down to earth we are going to a different pub now"
The two men stood and joined the rest of their group as they walked. The cold English night nipping at Arthur's cheeks.
This was far from his first time having a crush on some random girl at a pub, but he didn't know. Y/n seemed different. From how easily he found talking to her, to the way she took the reigns in their conversation.
The rest of the group were all too wrapped up in their own buzzed worlds to notice how he had a small smile and a tight grip on his phone.
He wondered all about her. Did she like football? Was she an animal lover? Would she like to film content with him?
As these questions circled around his mind he felt a buzz from his phone. Looking down it was a message from Y/n.
💬 I'm free Tuesday if you would be down to grab coffee?
His whole body felt like it was on speed. He was practically vibrating. He was so excited he completely forgot the meeting he had planned for Tuesday.
💬 I could bring a coke if you preferred
Arthur responded quickly, he hated letting messages sit
💬 Tuesday works! Meet at Cafe Loretta at maybe like 10??
From down the opposite direction of the pub, Y/n responded
💬 I'll see you then :)
Oh well. That's a future Arthur's problem, he was currently basking in the warmth that was a pretty girls attention. And man could he get used to this pretty girl.
Orange Sunglasses - Arthur Frederick fluff
Description: Arthur is allowed the very rare chance to wear your sunglasses, too bad he's as forgetful as the day he was born.
Arthur pouted dramatically as I spoke. He was already eyeing my favourite pair. Rather than offering them you crossed your arms.
"I swear to god if you steal my sunglasses again I will kill you"
"Baby pleaseeee" he begged "I don't have any to wear" which was true. Only due to the fact he lost all his pairs.
"Look, you can borrow a different pair, and only for the day. I don't want to be late to the beach. You know what Chris can be like" Arthur let out a laugh before grabbing a particularly ugly pair of glasses, earning an eyebrow raise from you.
They had thick orange rims and low quality shades. Did they go with any outfits? Not even a little. But they were a go to pair, they you packed everytime.
Finally at the beach the group were all there, Chris filming some video that you weren't apart of. Rather you sat off to the side either tanning or going into the ocean. When they finally wrapped up Arthur immediately joined you.
"Ughh its almost dark!! I thought it would’ve been a shorter shoot" he complained as he slid the sunglasses off his hair to his eyes.
You simply stood up in the water, the waves reaching your waist. It was not a surprise to you, his filming always took longer than he expected.
"Its okay, you have the day off tomorrow right? We can come back" Arthur smiled wide before giving you a tight hug, your wet bikini top soaking his shirt
"Ack! Now my shirts wettt" he cried out, gaining laughs from his friends who were only a few feet away. All of them in just their swim trunks. Letting go of you he ran to the shore, taking off his shirt.
"Hey Y/n can I ask you something?" George asked standing only a few feet away. Once you had nodded he went on to ask "Is there any reason Arthur's wearing those glasses?"
Turning pink you explain, the boys all getting a kick out of their forgetful friend. Once Arthur returned them all taking turns teasing him. Arthur took it in stride, struggling to walk in the water he trudged to you.
"You're all just jealous my girlfriend shares her most precious accessories with me" earning groans as he kisses your cheek. The glasses nudging against your cheekbone.
"Nah mate I'm jealous that you can pull them off so well" Chris says teasingly.
"Don't worry Chrissy, I'm sure they make sunglasses in your size" you say earning gasps from the group before the others piling onto short jokes.
Arthur's hand slid down your arm and squeezed your hand. A silent thank as it directed attention off of him. He was never one to shy away from pda, rather he hated putting you on the spot.
Squeezing back his smile was small but earnest. The group spent another hour on the beach before packing up and leaving to go back to their hotels. Y/n and Arthur being the last on the beach, as they walk along the shoreline.
The sun was setting beautifully and the two walked with light conversation being a background noise to the crashing of waves.
Turning to face Arthur he took your hands in his and brought them to his lips to kiss. You could feel yourself melting before noticing something.
"Arthur" Your tone snapped him out of his daydreaming look "where are your sunglasses?"
Terror washed over him. His hands slapping to his hair where as he had dreaded, the glasses were missing. His mind raced trying to think of where he could have lost them. Maybe the water?
"Fuck" he said exasperated. Not only had he done exactly what you asked him not to do, he lost your glasses. "Can I buy you a different pair?"
"How about you buy me dinner instead" you said with a sigh, as much as you were disappointed he lost them, you knew in your heart it wasn't his fault.
"Deal...and I can sleep in the bed right?" Letting out a bark of a laugh you reached up, kissing his lips quickly. Him closing his eyes like he always did.
"Let's see how well you do at dinner and we will go from there"
Okay. I have been thinking of this for a long time and I am trusting you to make this real.
Chris with a Baker reader and she comes on the channel for like without a recipe type challenges.
Make me proud!
I will do my best 😌
Description: Chris and Arthur compete against Bambino Becky and Y/n in the grand finale of their baking competition.
"I can not believe you mate" Chris held his head in his hands as Arthur stood next to him "I mean she's a Baker. Why are you surprised that shes this good?"
The two had challenged Y/n and Becky to a baking competition. The rules were simple. The pairs had 3 hours to bake any pie they wished and were allowed to use a recipe but for everytime they had to look at the recipe they'd lose time to bake.
"Hear that Y/n? The boys are giving up" Becky exclaimed as she pointed across the way.
Y/n didn't look up from kneading the pie dough. But her smirk was evident. When she and Chris began dating she had not wanted to do anything with his channel but as the years went by she finally accepted the offer of being in a video.
She was the judge in Chris's new baking series until the comments came flooding on about how she should compete.
Pairing Y/n with Becky who hadn't won a single episode with the two champions seemed fair...until Y/n didn't look at the recipe and got to baking.
"Arthur pass me the cold butter" Chris said finally bouncing back out of his moment of desperation. He had to do this, not only to win the competition but to beat his girlfriend.
Once the pies were out of the oven the four contestants stood posing for their final show down. The judge this week was Gordon Ramsey aka Italian Bach in a costume.
"I won't lie, these are both great looking pies, but one takes the cake" he said looking to the camera earning a few chuckles. After taking a bite of each her declared the one Y/n and Becky made was the winner much to no one's surprise.
"The Rhubarb in this one was a bit...grainy?" Isaac continued pointing at the loser pie. Chris and Arthur both booing in the background as Y/n and Becky were given their sashes.
As Chris did his outro Y/n came up behind him giving him a kiss on his cheek. Him stuttering before continuing.
On the car ride home the two chatted about the filming and teases were thrown
"I actually really liked your pie" Y/n said earnestly "I think the bin will like it more though" she said hiding her laugh behind her hand.
"Yeah ha ha so funny, at least I didn't look directly at the camera like 6 times" he teased back "how about you and I switch hm? I go to confectionery school and you take over the channel"
Y/n reached her hand over and put it on his.
"I had a lot of fun doing this baby"
"Yeah, me too. I think I need you to show me more baking though, the fans are requesting a season two and I think if you give me more pointers I have a better shot at beating you"
She gave his hand a squeeze. Once stopping at a red light she leaned in and kissed him
"I'd like that"
Idea for a story: Arthur is doing a vid with the guys that involves getting drunk, he gets so drunk that he confesses his feelings for Y/N but Y/N thinks it’s a forfeit the boys have made him do?
Guys you are all so much more creative than me.
Description: After a day of drinking Arthur let's slip a little too much. Luckily it was all caught on camera.
"I get lonely at night" Chris whispers in Arthur's ear, this had been the same thing he had done to him when drunk
Rather than laughing, the man looked to you.
Y/n was a camera woman that undoubtedly was under appreciated by the crew. Often made to sit off to the side despite her great work.
Today however she was shoot the video. That's what made him looking at her all the better.
"Mate just looked down the fucking barrel of the camera" George reached across the table to push Arthur's shoulder.
A few of the guys had known of his crush, but none of the crew had. Especially not Y/n. She was oblivious to it all. The small glances and stuttering when he tried to talk to her, all of it.
"I'm going to- I'm going to have something" Arthur mutters, looking away. The group giggling at him "How about you finally have your turn?"
Chris puts his hands up in defence
"Okay then! Truth or dare Arthur" the man hummed
"Dare! I'm not a pussy" Arthur exclaims, the camera crew all exchanging looks before gearing up to film closer to the table.
"I dare you to tell us about the girl you fancy" Chris says loudly with a finger raised.
"Oh it's Y/n" he says nonchalantly. Nobody moves, despite the large group of people you could hear a pin drop.
The crew all turn to you while the group on camera are stunned. George finally says something
"Like Y/n from-" Arthur cuts him off, with a finger pointing directly at you
"No, that one" he says before reaching for another drink, Arthur Hill moving the drinks from out of reach
"Can we get some water for him? I think he's a little too drunk" Hill explained. Harry walked over to a cooler and grabbed him a bottle.
"Y/n i think youre good to leave?" The other camera man suggested, her nodding before handing over the camera. As she began walking away she could hear someone rushing after her
"Don't go!" It was of course Arthur "I'm so sorry! I wasn't thinking and I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable and I do really like you and can I take you out to dinner sometime and if not that's cool too"
He rambled on as they walked to her car, the whole time she watched him with an amused expression.
"I'd love to get dinner, maybe when you're sober?" She suggests to a nodding Arthur.
Once she drove away Arthur returned to the group, them all patting his shoulders and teasing him.
"You are all laughing, but I got a hot date next week!" He declared with a few of them cheering. Once everything was wrapped up a few days later, one of the crew approached him online.
"Are you okay with the scene being included?" Arthur rose an eyebrow before texting
"What scene?" He received a text with the clip included. Arthur's face went pale. Rather than texting back, he called. His voice high pitched as he frantically asked what happened.
After hearing the explanation Arthur stood with his jaw dropped. He begged for it not to be included.
After sitting on his couch he stared at the wall. In a Dazed like state when his phone binged. Feeling exhaustion wash over him he looked over and saw it was from you.
💬 So when are we going out?
Arthur stared at the text when another popped up
💬 Unless you're a pussy
💬 ...please tell me you remember saying that. Otherwise I look really mean.
He had not. He was still surprised that she even wanted to go out, but he was sure he would take her.
💬 Yes! I will see you as soon as you are available!!
And so, you two were set to grab dinner. Was he embarrassed of how he was while drunk? Yes. Would he do it again? Yes, because now he gets to take out an angel.
Arthur's very dishy, isn't he? I don't blame you for going gaga over him. 🙂
He's a total smoke show. I love so much about him, and I know its bad to form parasocial relationships with celebrities...but he's just a guy ♡
Anything Arthurtv that includes jealousy from his side would be welcome
a/n: hope you like it, also thanks so much for the request:)
Summary: Arthur and Y/N have been best friends since university, navigating content creation, late-night edits, and awkward fan comments about their “will-they-won’t-they” dynamic. But everything shifts when Arthur notices Y/N getting close to someone new—someone who isn’t him. When jealousy rears its head, Arthur is forced to confront feelings he’s buried for far too long.
Arthur Frederick was sulking. Not in a dramatic, over-the-top way—he wasn’t that type. No, this was the subtle, broody kind of sulking that came with barely concealed glares at his phone, grumbles under his breath, and editing a video with far more keyboard slamming than necessary.
“Jesus, Arthur, did Premiere Pro personally offend you or something?”
You peeked around the corner of his desk, a half-smile on your face as you held up two mugs—one coffee, one tea. You knew his preference depending on the hour.
Arthur muttered something unintelligible but reached for the tea anyway. “Thanks.”
You raised an eyebrow, settling on the armrest of his gaming chair, the way you always did when you wanted to distract him. “You okay?”
“I’m fine.” He sipped his tea too aggressively. “Just tired.”
Right. Sure. He’d been off since last night, when you posted an Instagram story of you laughing with Lewis—your new coworker at the BBC. You were aware of Arthur’s disapproval, but you hadn’t expected him to spiral into petty silence.
You narrowed your eyes. “Did Lewis do something to you?”
Arthur snorted. “Aside from showing up in my life uninvited and hijacking your attention? No.”
You blinked. “What?”
“I said nothing,” he muttered, returning to his screen.
You tilted your head, resting your chin on your palm. “Arthur.”
“What?”
You leaned in. “No way… you’re actually jealous.”
His fingers froze above the keyboard.
He didn’t respond, but the red tint creeping up his ears said it all.
You grinned. “Oh my god. You are.”
Arthur spun in his chair to face you. “I’m not jealous. He’s just… I don’t trust his jawline.”
You laughed—loud and warm. “His jawline?”
“It’s too sharp. Like, cartoonishly sharp. I feel like it could cut glass.”
“Arthur.” You laughed again. “You’re being ridiculous.”
He rubbed the back of his neck, not meeting your eyes. “He looks at you weird.”
You blinked. “Weird how?”
“Like he already knows he’s gonna ask you out. Like he thinks he has a chance.”
You blinked again. “What if he does?”
Arthur finally looked at you, something raw and vulnerable flickering across his face. “Does he?”
The room stilled.
You weren’t sure when things changed between you and Arthur. Maybe it was the late nights editing side-by-side, knees brushing. Or the way he made your coffee exactly how you liked it without asking. Or how he never let you walk home alone after filming, even if it meant taking a train an hour out of his way.
Or maybe it was the way he looked at you now, like you were the only thing anchoring him in the world.
“No,” you said, softly. “He doesn’t.”
Arthur let out a slow breath. “Good.”
You rolled your eyes, but your heart was hammering. “Still doesn’t explain why you acted like a grumpy cat all day.”
“I wasn’t—”
“Arthur, you full-on growled when I mentioned his name earlier.”
He didn’t deny it.
Silence settled between you again, thick and expectant. You broke it.
“You could’ve just said something, you know.”
“Like what? ‘Hey Y/N, it’s totally normal that I want to punch your coworker because I have repressed feelings for you and get irrationally angry when anyone else gets your attention’?”
You laughed. “Yes. Exactly like that.”
Arthur cracked a small smile. “I thought I was being subtle.”
“You were about as subtle as a car alarm.”
He sighed, looking up at you. “Okay. I like you.”
You stared at him. “Say it again.”
He blinked. “I… like you?”
“No, I mean—say it like you mean it.”
Arthur stood up, hands settling on your hips like it was instinct. “I like you, Y/N. I think I’ve liked you since you made fun of my mic setup in uni.”
You laughed again. “It was held together by duct tape and hope.”
“And yet you still sat beside me in every lecture.”
“I didn’t want you to suffer alone.”
He leaned closer. “You still don’t want me to suffer alone?”
You smiled. “Depends. Are you going to glare at everyone who talks to me?”
“Probably.”
You shrugged. “Then yeah. Still don’t want you to suffer alone.”
His forehead pressed against yours. “You know I’d never actually stop you from being friends with anyone.”
“I know. But I’m glad you were jealous. It means you care.”
“I’ve always cared.”
You kissed him—slow, certain, like you’d been waiting for this moment through every video, every shared laugh, every almost-touch.
And when he kissed you back, it wasn’t awkward or new. It felt like coming home.
Later that night, Arthur posted a new vlog. It had nothing to do with relationships, yet the comments lit up:
“Is it just me or is Arthur glowing???” “Tell me he finally got with Y/N or I riot.” “That ‘I like you’ better be on camera somewhere.”
You scrolled through the replies, smirking as you cuddled closer to him on the couch. “Fans know.”
Arthur didn’t look up from his phone. “Let them guess. Builds suspense.”
You snorted. “You’re such a tease.”
He grinned. “But only for you.”

An Arthur request please. You work at a zoo and Arthur fancies you. He does everything to win your heart. - 🐤
I HAD SOMETHING ALONG THESE LINES COOKIN
Description: Arthur has a crush on the lizard specialist at his local zoo. He's a bit obvious about it.
Arthur had spent too many Sundays at the zoo. It had come to the point he was on a first name basis with the staff. He would dilly dally around the lions and zebras before beelining to his favourite exhibition.
Everyone knew why he was there. It was no secret, Arthur Frederick was in love with Y/n L/n. He thought he was so slick. The only thing that didn't know about his feelings?
The lizards.
"And that's why the bearded dragon is called a dragon!" Y/n explained to the crowd of kids, all letting out amazed gasps. Off to the side stood Arthur, with a similarly big smile.
He's heard every one of her lectures and knew them all by heart. His personal favourite was on the bearded dragons. They all were named after members of the Scooby Doo Gang.
Once Y/n put the Lizard named Daphne back in her cage the kids all dispersed leaving her with the grinning man.
"Wow, you knocked that out of the park" he exclaims "I mean, this is definitely top 10 times you've done that presentation" he jokes, her laughing with him
"Yeah? I'm glad you think so, you're basically my number one fan at this point" she teases. Not only had she picked up on the fact that Arthur had a crush on her, she felt the same way about him.
"I'm starting a Y/n fan club as we speak" he leans back, against the wall. Him wearing a cheeky smile.
"I'll make sure to let my mom know to subscribe" she says rolling her eyes "Where are you supposed to be right now?"
"What do you mean? I don't have anything going on" he says confused. Having control on his schedule made spending time with Y/n easy.
"What about later? Have Any plans then?" She asked, as she leaned against the same wall next to him. The two facing the reptile hall, as happy children wander about.
"Nope, I almost never film on Sundays, they're my relax day" he explains. "Again, why?"
The cogs in his brain turning as he tried to figure out what she was getting at. He was so clueless to the small looks she was giving him or how her body was slightly shaking.
"Well, I was wondering what time you are going to pick me up" she says pushing off the wall "maybe 6?" She suggests, finally looking over to the man.
Arthur stood with his jaw dropped and cheeks red. You couldn't help but giggle at the sight.
"Uh-" he gulps "Yeah! Six o'clock. Could I have your number?" She nods, slipping him her phone number written on a dinosaur shaped post it note. Giving him a wave she headed to the main office where she was greeted by four coworkers.
"Y/N!" They all exclaimed loudly, nearly knocking the woman off her feet. The five animal nerds all excited about her boldness in asking out the man.
"I can't believe I did it! I'm just glad I didn't do it with Lizard shit on my hands" she admitted, still buzzing from the news of date night.

Chess Queen Part One
Description: Arthur needed a little extra encouragement from Italian Bach to talk to his YouTube crush.
Spending the day on a rainy football field was far from what Y/n thought she would be doing right about now. Not only had it been much too early but she was also sure she'd be soaked by the time filming was over.
Y/n L/n, the newest member of the UK Youtuber World was not alike the others. Rather than pub crawls and football matches. She was known for streaming playing board games or yapping to thousands of fans. Despite being new, she was popular.
"Oh my-!" Y/n heard, her head snapping to see who had been yelling. There she saw Italian Bach, or Isaac as she been told to call him stood with a man's hand slapped across his mouth.
The two stared at eachother, her bringing up a hand to wave, only for the man to take the hand off and jog up to you, leaving a baffled man standing still.
"You're Y/n right!?" She nodded and he continued "Oh my god, your literal biggest fan is my best mate, I'll go grab him"
He ran back over, hauling with him the mam who slapped him. As he got closer you recognised him as Arthurtv, or just Arthur.
"Its Isaac and Arthur right?" She asked once they were close enough. Arthur going bright pink when she pointed at him.
"Yeah, Arthur here is again your biggest fan. He had heart eyes when you played chess the other day" he explained as his friend died next to him
"Ah, so you saw me mercilessly destroy them all" she joked, in actuality she had done decent, able to win every game. She was surprised when he answered
"You did really good!! Probably better than me," He announced. His voice a little louder than he was wanting. Isaac stood next to him, watching on like a proud dad "I play a lot of chess" he admits quieter.
"We will have to play together some time" she smiled, something that made the man short circuit. His ears going pink as he responded meekly.
"Yeah! Uhm..please" He peeped out. You were going to get his contact information when KSI called over the group to start the video.
After filming, the group all sat under a tent as the rain beat down around them. Looking up at the clouds Y/n let out a deep sigh, catching the attention of Arthur.
He was embarrassed to admit it but his eyes never left her. She had even caught him a few times.
"Are you okay?" He asked, catching her sights. She turned to him, her biting her lip
"Yeah, I'm just sort of dreading walking to the train station" she confesses, Isaac popping out of nowhere
"You're out on Berry right?" She nods "well Arthur here lives like 2 blocks away. Why don't you catch a ride with him?"
He claps his hand on Arthur's back, who nods eagerly.
"Would that really be okay? I don't want to put you out" Arthur shakes his head and hands.
"No!! It'd be no trouble at all" Arthur and you start walking out to his car, the whole time you have slightly awkward small talk.
Arthur had so many things he wanted to say to him but didn't know how.
"So, you film alot" she asks "Your film schedule is like double mine" she jokes.
"What can I say? The camera loves me" he wiggles his eyebrows. The two of you sharing a laugh.
As the buildings pass, the awkwardness passed with them. Pulling up to Y/ns address she didn't want the conversation to end. Inviting him in the two ordered dinner and spent the entire night chatting.
It felt calming and fluid, talking to Arthur she felt like herself.
"I should probably get going, George has been spamming me about not being home yet" you giggle and agree.
"I suppose I'll let you go. Can I see you again sometime?" He stutters
"I would be honoured to see you again, I'm holding you to that chess offer"
And so, the two split up. Once alone they both unaware the other was also freaking out.
One thing was for sure, they both had to practice playing chess for when they did play together. Both were determined to win.
