blazar and loop are the same flavor of character, in a way. lost the ones they cared about over something that altered their life forever. now the ones they cared about dont recognize them, as they are replaced by something of a copy of their previous selves.

in general the whole "used to be this person now you're unrecognizable but 'this person' still exists and is more 'you' than you will ever be" trope IS MY SHIIIIT but unfortunately it isn't always handled to it's fullest potential (cough. fern from adventure time). so of course i like doing my own spin on it

in the case of blazar and blue, it's more like blue's a flawed copy that doesn't actually live up to how blazar used to be and blazar himself doesn't even remember how he was before. so it's kind of flipping the dynamic around on who feels like the "fake" one. blazar's just chilling fr

also since you compared him to loop, i think blazar would say "teehee" for enrichment
