Do you have any other thoughts about the Cole haunting the monastry au or plans for it? It’s super cool!
yes, actually! these are some random thoughts that I've had for it
Cole didn't know that he was the elemental master of earth when Wu first took him in. it took all the way up until this au's version of DotD before he realised.
he gains his true potential in s13
when Lou finds out Cole's alive, he is happy, but he also knows that he wasn't the best parent, which is why he lets Cole stay with the ninja
the timeline for this is a bit messed up, but it probably goes something like: Cole is 7 when Wu adopts him -> he's 8 when he dies and haunts the monastery -> chronologically 14 when the rest of the ninja arrive -> chronologically 15 during s5 and when he goes through the rift
Cole was really bitter and angry towards Wu in the beginning. he thought that Wu didn't care for him, which is why he ran away and got killed.
in the alternate version of this where he ends up in the cursed realm with Morro, he doesn't care about Wu at all. he's found a new family in Morro and the other cursed spirits, so why should he care about someone who didn't care about him? Wu did care. he was just bad at showing it, and Cole does care. just a tiny bit. enough to ask why Wu didn't look for him
this isn't a fun tidbit about this au or anything but I actually came up with this before I got into DC yet there are a scary amount of similarities
alternate version Cole did know that he was an elemental master. Morro told him in the cursed realm and helped train him
the main au version of Cole inconvenienced Wu multiple times by knocking over his tea or letting his papers fly everywhere because he was 8 and also very petty
The dynamic of Cassie and Rachel is making me insane. What if someone was your conscience but also you resented them for making you feel like you were a bloodthirsty monster? What if your friend had the courage to do what you couldn't but made you feel weak and stupid for sticking to your morals? What if you went shopping at the mall together about it?

I pushed myself out of my comfort zone a bit with this one bc I'm not very good at backgrounds and full body drawings but I'm seriously quite proud of it.
Me drawing the ninja in some of their most traumatic moments: 😦😔🙁
Their colour coded nail polish: 😊🤭🥰
Me: wow everyone did so well acting in the final scene in the garage I wonder what they were thinking about during it
Jeremey Shada at his panel at comic con: we were in that garage for TWELVE HOURS
Choi Jongho, son of Ursula
“There is, one knows not what sweet mystery about this sea, whose gently awful stirrings seem to speak of some hidden soul beneath...”

For as much as I love Animorphs, I’ve never actually read it in order all the way through. It was always scattered entries, whatever I could find at the library or buy at garage sales. There’s even a small handful I haven’t read at all. That’s why, for my New Year’s resolution, I plan to reread the series in its entirety. However, I know how my brain works, and I’m afraid I might lose motivation and quit too soon. That’s why, after each book, I will add to this post with, in my opinion, the most fucked-up part of the book, as well as the silliest part (because anyone who’s read these books knows that those are the two main tenets of the series). That way, I’ll have a publicly available record to hold myself accountable to if I start slacking, plus a nice thread of propaganda to hopefully suck more people in. I plan to read one mainline book a week, starting with:
