Just found out about thylacines

From 50 Facts About Animals by Ron B. Taylor, published in 1983.
When she says:
"I'm fine"
What she means:
"I just spent the past 3 hours comparing that new thylacine pelt specimen to thylacine photographs and documents."

Preserved head of a female thylacine at Oxford University Museum of Natural History and a photo of the same animal when she was alive. This individual was captured in 1925 and sold to Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart, before being transferred to London Zoo in 1926. She died on the 9th of August, 1931. She was the last living thylacine to be exhibited outside of Australia.

This thylacine footage was recently rediscovered by researchers Gareth Linnard, Branden Holmes and Mike Williams on March 4, 2020.
Originally filmed by the Bester family c. 1933-1936, the 9.5mm black and white film includes 7 seconds of a captive thylacine in its enclosure at the Beaumaris Zoo.
