You feel that it is your duty in whatever friendships you have to be the sort of glue that holds everything together, even if it gets exhausting at times. Gemini MC // The Hookup. You constantly find yourself in this position of being used for something. Now, that’s not always a bad thing: in fact, you kind of enjoy having the upper hand in situations like this. People sort of depend on you to get them in to the coolest clubs or introduce them to that one guy that they couldn’t keep their eyes off of the entire night. You’re the social butterfly and the gift that keeps on giving. Your friends are incredibly grateful for all of the amazing things that you pull off for them.

Cancer MC // The Blanket. You cover your friends in warmth and love daily, they will never doubt how much you care for them. They look to you as a means of support and validation. The term “mom friend” is most certainly applicable here. You always come prepared: long car rides? You got this. A day at the fair? Water bottles for everyone! You treat your friends like your family, and because of this, you find it very difficult to let go when someone has wronged you. You want to heal the world and you want to heal your friends as well. 

Leo MC // The Influencer. A Leo MC’s ultimate goal in life is to be recognized for the work that they put in (and being recognized in general doesn’t hurt, either). As a friend, they are undeniably looked up to by the rest of the group. Others actually find it quite amazing how ambitious and generous Leo MC’s are. Their friends are their whole world, and they will pretty much drop everything when a friend is in need. They are pretty much what their friends refer to as “goals.”

Virgo MC // The Critic. While a Virgo MC’s worst critic is definitely themselves, they are also known as the analyst by those close to them. Your friends know that if they go to you for advice, they better expect to hear a no-bullshit, practical response. Now, despite what some may think, being critical isn’t always a bad thing. In fact, your friends rely on you to tidy up the messes that they make, whether they’re big or small. In reality, they know that you truly want to see them be the best versions of themselves and it all comes from a place of love.

Libra MC // The Mediator. An argument just broke out: call a Libra MC, quick! You don’t know how it happens, but you always end up being the one to break up fights and settle things amongst friends. You don’t understand why everyone can’t just act like adults and talk things out normally. In fact, you get really nervous when things escalate! However, you do actually enjoy having the title of the mediator; you appreciate the balance that you bring and so do your friends (even if they go back to arguing the next day!)

Scorpio MC // The Psychologist. Well, Kimmy just broke up with her boyfriend for the fifth time this week, and she’s coming to you for advice. Of course she is! As a Scorpio MC, you have a special gift. You find it very easy to step in to other’s shoes and feel what they are feeling. It’s not uncommon for you to know what people are thinking before the words even come out of their mouths. You almost creep yourself out sometimes with how much you know before you actually, well… know! Even so, your friends always look to you because you are a great observer and listener. 

Sagittarius MC // The Wanderer. You knew from a very young age that you were never meant to stay in one place; your friends know that as well! Because of this, you are constantly being called upon for 3 AM McDonalds adventures, 10 hour road trips, you name it. If there is travel involved, your friends want you there! You absorb knowledge like a sponge, and anywhere you go, your friends will surely follow. They love your care-free, adaptable nature and your ability to befriend others so easily.

Capricorn MC // The Skeptic. Truthfully, you have your shit together. And if you don’t right now, you’re planning to have it together by 4 PM next Monday. The point is, you always have a plan. You are cool, calm and collected in situations that others would normally fall apart in; for this reason, your friends look to you for reassurance. They know that you would never mislead them. You are a sort of big brother/big sister to your friends because you can smell bullshit from a mile away. You don’t take lightly to others messing with your loved ones.

Aquarius MC // The Teacher. Your friends have probably come to realize that you know a lot about a wide range of topics. So, it is only natural that they rely on you to educate them. Having trouble on school work? They come to you. Need to know where Kuwait is located on a map? An Aquarius MC has got you covered! You are unique beyond words and your level of dedication to learning is unmatched. Luckily, you know that your gift attracts some with ill intentions who will try to take advantage of your wealth of knowledge. Keep your real friends close, because you know the difference.

Fixed Signs & Loyalty

I just want to talk a bit further about the fixed signs and how they feel about loyalty as well as being betrayed. As we head through the fixed signs, it’s as though the more stubborn traits become weaker almost? For example within archetypes, Taurus is the bull, the most openly stubborn fixed sign you can find. Then as we hit Aquarius, it becomes internal and their stubbornness will not be as exaggerated. (Sun & Mars mostly but others should be considered)

Taurus: People with personal planets in Taurus see loyalty as a given. They automatically trust everyone & will stay that way unless something drastic changes their mind. They’re the most loyal people you can find and will literally stick by your side through thick and thin, even if you wouldn’t necessarily do the same. They’re fiercely protective of their loved ones and things they care about. If you betray or shame them or people they love, they will turn, and become the bull they’re ever so famous for being. They’ll keep a cool head while ripping you apart. Don’t cross them. 

Leo: People with personal planets in Leo see trust and loyalty as something that needs to be earned, and won’t give it out to just anyone. They, like Taurus, are fiercely protective of loved ones and will waste no time in crushing anyone that crosses them. They will attack when their ego is bruised, or if you try to test the fact that they’re above everyone else. Leo will knock you down several sizes if you try to square up, providing you can even reach their level. Watch yourself. 

Scorpio: People with personal planets in Scorpio are literally ride or die for their loved ones, but you won’t ever hear about it. Mars in Capricorn: The Power of a Volcano

I was discussing mars in Capricorn with a friend recently. She told me they are designed for elegant efficiency and i was thinking…yes, this is true, definitely. But there’s more to it. People with mars in Capricorn always leave me with this sense for layers, you know. But not in the complex way Scorpio or Gemini or Pisces are layered, no, it’s different. The main difference is you just don’t feel it’s up for exploration. With other signs, you get the idea that they would like to share their depths, to be known by the people they choose…their complexities and depths feel like a beautifully decorated museum where you explore room after room full of many intricacies and curiosities. Mars in Capricorn doesn’t feel inviting. It doesn’t feel accessible either. Their depth is not for show, it’s for use only - they don’t have various rooms of complexities, they possess layers after layers after layers that they’ve created. And that whole overwhelming structure creates their core, the core of mars in Capricorn. That’s where they take their energy from. This is what one might call “the powerhouse of the cell”. Depths they’ve designed and know better than the back of their hand, this is what creates the tremendous amounts of energy they channel into the ruthless efficiency with which they pursue their goals. That core exists so they can get what they want. And access for exploration is not something that can be easily granted to anybody.

This is why mars in Capricorn is most like a volcano out of the mars signs. I mean, one usually associates lava with fire, so explosions are seen as something of the fire realm, but with volcanos the thing is fire comes from the earth. The fire (mars) core exists beneath layers and layers of earth so it can keep together this whole high-functioning mechanism of the planet that we live on. this is why mars exalts in Capricorn - this is not a single destructive explosion of anger and will, this is a deep, deep core of power that fuels constructive and incessant action.

Two of the most important people in my life have mars in Capricorn and honestly…it feels incredible to be with someone like this. A little off-astrology, but according to human design i’m a projector so basically i’m a non-energy type and i seek out other people whose energy i can access and direct. Basically, the more open centers you have - and i have almost all of them - the more you can sample and taste other people’s energy to consider which one is best fitting for your guidance. With mars in Capricorn ppl, the feeling is kind of overwhelming for me. it’s like…i can smell it under the surface, that energy core which keeps them wired and i feel pulled towards it as if towards some sort of abyss. With my ex it really felt as if for the first time in my life i have the energy to do things. unlimited energy. Well, ofc i kept doing pointless stuff - come on, i’m a projector, i’ve never had a drop of energy in my life, what do you expect me to do with it all of a sudden lmfao. But it was an amazing feeling.

It’s not all strength and resilience though. Some people with mars in Capricorn may be going through life with the feeling that there is something locked deep down inside them, something so powerful it frightens them. This is the case especially when mars is afflicted with difficult aspects (square, opposition, quincunx, sometimes conjunction) with Saturn or Neptune. There is a feeling for power one cannot yield properly and wastes away. With difficult aspects with Pluto or Uranus the individual might feel as if they can access their own power but they’re much too frightened to use it as it bears a twisted quality to it. These aspects often bring a feeling shame connected to sexual preferences and a feeling that the individual is twisted or sick in some way, they might feel as if their desires are dirty and no good. Mars in Capricorn is a very potent placement, so it can be difficult to make use of and depending on the rest of the chart it can either bring strong fulfillment and ability to go after what you want or the sense of wasted potential. F.e. it can be pretty difficult for someone with a lot of Venus influence in the chart to have mars in Capricorn and it can lead to hyper identification with either Martian or Venusian energy and total disregard of the opposite one. If the individual with mars in Capricorn identifies too much with it in an attempt to run away from the Venus side that is trying to suffocate it they may act out, become workaholic, live goal to goal, promising themselves rest which never comes until they reach a complete burn out, try to control people all the time or even get addicted to sex. So yeah, especially with the exalted placements it’s important to remember one has to integrate their polarities fully. And try to not get lost in what feels like power if it cripples you of other aspects of your authentic self.
