one of the best things about neil josten is honestly how painfully self-aware he is. he’ll be running his mouth fully aware of the consequences, and he’ll even care about the consequences a great deal, but he’ll still go “i can have a panic attack later! first i need to roast the mafia on national television” like my guy. no one's doing it like him

yes i too was shocked when i realised everyone wanted to shag each other. it was literally just a five way. that's the entire book.

So, for my sanity. Let me get this straight (lol); Henry was in love with Camilla and she was in love with him. And Richard was also in love with Camilla but she friendzoned him. Francis and Camilla had kissed (twice) and Charles was furious. Francis was flirting with Richard the entire time ( "cubitum eamus") Richard fantasized about spending his old years with Francis (and they kissed ofc). Richard also described Henry in a very no homo way. Francis and Charles were secretly hooking up. And so were Charles and Camilla (also, Charles was an abuser, why don't people talk about that more?). Richard described Camilla to look very masculine and like Charles to a tee, so he also liked Charles (?). Bunny was a huge homophobe, kinda sus; also had a strange interest in Henry. And Henry was probably in love with Julian (that little weird kiss mentioned ounce). I am a missing something?

- Marissa’s last name is Baker and she used to be a Fox striker (how did this not come up before??)

- she has 1,584 files (84 folders) just filled with details about the characters and the plot of aftg (and she won’t let us see 😔)

- she said she didn’t give exact descriptions of the upperclassmen because they were meant to be mere personalities and the backbone of the fox line (however she did say she adores black Dan & Matt)

i don't think most people understand the importance of neil being openly and unapologetically demisexual. when he was written and the books were published the information about the ace spectrum was so scarce and no one talked about it. personally thanks to this character i got to understand a part of my identity that made no sense for my whole life, suddenly he was saying i don't swing and i mean it the only one im interested in is you and my brain exploded a little and opened the door to actually do some research on it and things made sense. which maybe i would have figured out eventually, but that level of understanding added to showing the importance of consent and boundaries truly rewired my brain (for the better)

Andrew literally helped Matt because watching Matt be scared of his addiction could have hurt his brother. Because he saw Aaron in Matt's inability to fight his addiction. Because if there's one thing Andrew understands, it's helplessness. And i think it's unbelievable that Matt's trip to Eden's was revealed straight after Andrew was visited by Officer Higgins about Drake.
