The arcade was buzzing, filled with the constant beeps of machines and the occasional victorious shout from some kid landing a high score. Wally Clark had practically grown up here, spending weekends and spare change on Pac-Man, Galaga, and his game—Street Fighter.

Tonight, though, he had a challenger.

“I’m telling you, I’m gonna win,” Y/N said, cracking her knuckles like she was about to go into battle.

Wally smirked, dropping a few quarters into the machine. “Oh yeah? You just started playing last week.”

“And yet, I’m already better than you.”

He snorted. “I don’t know where this confidence is coming from, but alright.”

The screen flickered to life, and they picked their characters. Wally went with his usual—Ryu. Y/N picked Chun-Li.

“Good choice,” he admitted.

“I know,” she said smugly.

They started the first round, fingers flying over the buttons. Wally was good—he had the reflexes, the timing, and the strategy down. But Y/N was catching on fast, countering his moves, dodging attacks he was sure would land.

“You’ve been practicing,” he realized, squinting at her.

“Maybe.”

“You totally have!”

“Shut up and lose, Clark.”

He laughed, shaking his head, but he almost lost the second round. She landed a surprise combo that had him down to his last sliver of health before he pulled off a desperate win.

They were both breathless when the final match loaded.

“You nervous?” she asked, bouncing on her heels.

“Not even a little,” he lied.

The round started. It was close—way too close. Wally was usually cocky about winning, but for the first time, he had no idea how this would go. Y/N was relentless, going for every opening he left, and for a second, he thought she might actually beat him.

Then, in a last-second move, he barely landed a knockout hit.

The words K.O. flashed across the screen.

Wally yelled, throwing his arms in the air. “YES! CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!”

Y/N groaned, dramatically dropping onto the nearby stool. “I had you.”

“Eh, you almost had me.”

She rolled her eyes. “Next time, I’m crushing you.”

“I’d like to see you try.”

She grinned, shaking her head. “You will.”

They played a few more rounds, then wandered to the prize counter, where Wally spent all his leftover tickets on a cheap plastic ring and shoved it into her hand.

“What is this?” she asked, staring at it.

“A consolation prize,” he said, grinning.

She held it up like it was something valuable, then slid it onto her finger. “I’m gonna keep this forever.”

He snorted. “Yeah, right.”

She met his eyes, suddenly serious. “No, really.”

And he didn’t know why, but that made his chest feel weird.

They left the arcade sometime after midnight, Y/N still wearing that stupid plastic ring. And Wally… Wally walked home wondering if maybe, maybe he was already losing a different kind of game.

One where she had no idea she was winning.

Practice had run late, and he’d spent the last twenty minutes speeding across town to get to Y/N’s house, his heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and nerves.

Because tonight, he was going to tell her.

Not just I love you—he’d said that plenty of times.

But I see forever with you, and he was going to show that with a promise ring.

They’d been together for over a year now, and it wasn’t always easy, but she was his person. She made everything better.

So when he pulled up outside her house and saw her sitting on the front steps, arms wrapped around herself, something in his chest tightened.

Something was wrong.

He barely had time to process it before she lifted her head, and the look in her eyes made his stomach drop.

Because it wasn’t just sadness.

It was betrayal.

“What the hell, Wally?” she asked, her voice sharp and cold in a way he had never heard before.

His heart started pounding. “What—what’s going on?”

She let out a bitter laugh. “Seriously? You’re really gonna stand there and act like you don’t know?”

“Y/N, I don’t—”

“I saw you, Wally.”

His blood turned to ice. “Saw me what?”

She shook her head, looking away like she couldn’t even stand to look at him. “With her.”

Her?

His mind raced, scrambling to figure out what the hell she was talking about.

Then—realization hit.

Oh, no. No, no, no.

“Wait—Y/N, if you’re talking about that girl outside the diner—”

“I saw you, Wally,” she repeated, voice breaking. “You had your hands all over her. She was all over you.”

His chest clenched. “It wasn’t what it looked like!”

“Oh, really?” she snapped. “Because it looked like my boyfriend was getting real close with some other girl while I was sitting at home thinking about him.”

He took a step closer, reaching for her hands, but she pulled away like he’d burned her.

“Y/N, please,” he begged. “I was helping her. She’s Scott’s cousin—she got into a fight with her boyfriend, and she was crying. I was just—she just needed someone to talk to.”

Y/N let out a breath, and for a second, he thought maybe—maybe—she was listening.

Then she shook her head. “I don’t believe you.”

His heart stopped.

“Are you serious?”

She swallowed hard, eyes glistening under the dim porch light. “I don’t—” She broke off, pressing her lips together. “I can’t.”

His throat felt tight. “Y/N, you know me. You know I would never do that to you.”

She looked away, arms wrapping tighter around herself. “I thought I did.”

The words cut through him like a knife.

He took a shaky breath, trying to hold himself together. “So what? That’s it?”

She blinked rapidly, like she was trying not to cry. “I can't do this anymore, Wally.”

He physically flinched.

“Baby, please.” His voice cracked, and he didn’t care. “You’re everything to me. Don’t do this. I love you.”

She inhaled sharply, shaking her head. “I can’t.”

And just like that, it was over.

She turned, walked up the steps, and disappeared inside, leaving him standing there in the cold.

Wally didn’t know how long he stood there, staring at the closed door, waiting for it to open again.

But it never did.

And for the first time in his life, he had no idea how to fix it.

Drabble Flashback Pt.8

~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~

The lake was quiet, the water still and reflecting the endless stretch of stars above. It was the kind of summer night that made everything feel infinite—where the heat still clung to the air, but the cool breeze off the water made it bearable. The party at Mason’s house had been fun, sure, but it was loud. Too many people, too much beer, too much heat packed into one backyard.

This, though? Just her and Wally at the lake? This was better.

Y/N sat at the dock’s edge, feet barely skimming the surface of the water. The planks beneath her were warm from the sun, but the night had stolen some of the heat away. Wally sat next to her, arms stretched back to prop himself up, head tilted toward the sky.

“Ever wonder how many stars are actually out there?” he mused, voice lazy and content.

She hummed. “Probably too many to count.”

He let out a low whistle. “Crazy to think about, huh? Like… we’re just sitting here, two dumb kids at a lake, while all that’s up there.”

Y/N turned to him, smiling softly. “Since when did you get all philosophical?”

“Since I started hanging out with you.”

She laughed, shaking her head. “I highly doubt that.”

He just smirked, not arguing.

A comfortable silence stretched between them, filled only by the distant chirp of crickets and the occasional splash of a fish breaking the water’s surface. Y/N leaned back on her hands, letting her head tip toward the stars, soaking it all in.

Then—

SPLASH!

Cold water exploded over her legs, drenching her shorts and soaking into the fabric of her tank top. She gasped, jerking upright as the lake settled, its surface rippling wildly.

“Wally!” she shrieked, whipping her head toward where he had disappeared beneath the surface.

A few seconds passed before he came up, grinning like an idiot, hair dripping and eyes twinkling with mischief.

“What?” he said innocently, floating on his back.

“You ass! That was cold!”

“Nah, it’s fine. You just gotta get in, and you won’t even feel it after a while.” He kicked lazily, sending another small wave toward the dock. “Come on.”

She crossed her arms, glaring down at him. “I hate you.”

“No, you don’t.”

She really wanted to argue. But the way he was looking at her—challenging, teasing, expecting her to jump in—made it impossible to say no.

With an exaggerated sigh, she stood up, toeing off her sneakers before peeling off her socks. She hesitated for a split second, but before she could second-guess herself, she stepped forward and jumped.

The water swallowed her whole, cool and shocking against her sun-warmed skin. She surfaced with a gasp, pushing her wet hair back from her face.

Wally was laughing, grinning like he’d just won something. “See? Not so bad, huh?”

“I hate you,” she repeated, splashing water directly into his face.

He spluttered, blinking water from his eyes before lunging forward, sending a wave toward her.

She shrieked, kicking away, trying to put space between them. “Wally, don’t you dare—”

Too late.

He caught her by the wrist, tugging her toward him. The movement sent her off balance, and before she could stop it, she crashed right into his chest.

For a moment, they were both frozen, chest-to-chest, the lake swirling around them. His hands had landed at her waist, steadying her, while her fingers instinctively gripped his shoulders.

Her breath caught.

It wasn’t like they hadn’t been close before—hell, they spent nearly every day together over the summer. But this was different. Something about the way the moonlight reflected off the water, the way his arms had wrapped around her without thinking, the way his breath fanned against her cheek.

His gaze flickered to her lips.

Her heart stuttered.

Then, as if realizing the moment was stretching too long, Wally cleared his throat and gently nudged her backward, putting a few inches of space between them. “Didn’t mean to drown you,” he joked, voice just a little rougher than before.

She forced a laugh, shoving his shoulder. “Jerk.”

“Yeah, yeah.” He smirked, flicking water at her face. “Race you to the dock?”

She narrowed her eyes. “You always cheat.”

“I never cheat.”

“Wally, you literally—”

“Three, two—”

“Wally—”

“Go!”

He took off without waiting, kicking hard, cutting through the water like a fish.

Y/N groaned but didn’t hesitate to chase after him, their laughter ringing through the quiet night.

And if she found herself sneaking glances at him—at the way he looked when he was happy, carefree, alive—well…

She’d never admit it.

~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~

The diner was their Saturday ritual—same booth, same food, same easy rhythm.

Y/N doodled on a napkin while Wally sipped his milkshake, watching her. “Whatcha drawing?”

She slid it over. A little cartoon of him, helmet too big for his head.

He grinned. “Gotta say, I look good.”

She rolled her eyes. “Obviously.”

Something about the easy comfort between them made his chest feel too tight. Like he wanted to say something, but didn’t know how.

So instead, he flicked a fry at her.

She gasped, throwing one right back.

They stayed until the waitress shooed them out.

And maybe, just maybe, Wally realized he never wanted these mornings to end.

~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~

I didn’t remember getting back into my truck. Didn’t remember starting the engine or driving through the quiet streets of town.

All I knew was the ache.

The deep, suffocating, ripping-me-apart-from-the-inside ache that wouldn’t let up.

My hands clenched the steering wheel as I pulled into the empty football field parking lot. The place was deserted this late at night, the field itself swallowed in darkness, only the faint glow of the scoreboard casting long shadows over the grass.

I killed the engine but didn’t move, just sat there, staring blankly out the windshield.

It wasn’t real.

It couldn’t be real.

Y/N had left me.

Over something that wasn’t even true.

I ran a hand down my face, exhaling shakily. The worst part—the part that made my stomach churn—was that she hadn’t even let me explain.

She’d looked at me like I was someone else. Like all the time we’d spent together, all the memories, all the love—it hadn’t been enough.

Had I really been that easy to doubt?

My chest tightened.

I wanted to be angry. I should be angry.

But all I felt was empty.

My eyes burned as I slumped forward, resting my forehead against the steering wheel.

I thought about every late-night drive, every time she’d fallen asleep on my shoulder, every whispered "I love you" that had once felt so permanent.

And now—now it was just gone.

A sharp, broken sound escaped my throat, and before I could stop myself, I slammed my fist against the dashboard, hard enough to make my knuckles sting.

I wanted to fix it. To go back, to shake her and make her see.

But she wasn’t listening.

She’d already decided.

And that—more than anything—was what shattered me.

Because I had spent my whole life fighting. Fighting for my team, for my friends, for the future I wanted.

But how do you fight for someone who doesn’t believe in you anymore?

How do you fight when the person you love has already let go?

I swallowed hard, staring out at the darkened field, the place that had once felt like home.

Now, it just felt cold.

And for the first time in a long time, I didn’t know where to go from here.

Because without her—

I wasn’t sure where I belonged anymore.

Wally Clark NSFW! alphabet

Requested by the lovely @notheoneuneed

I lowkey giggled so much when writing this. Thanks for the request!!! ♡

For more like this, check out my request list! ♡

If anyone wants me to turn this into a fic like "alphabet soup" by the amazing, @whoopsyeahokay , I would be happy to! ♡ (For real, tho, that fic got me through so many boring class periods, and it needs more recognition! 😪)

Wally Clark NSFW! Alphabet

~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~

A - Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)

This man FOR SURE is an aftercare king! He makes sure his partner is cleaned up, hydrated, and well cared for. I feel like he's definitely the type of man to run a bath for his partner if he was a little rough, or just in general.

B - Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)

Wally is a big boy, so I feel like his favorite part of HIS body would be his hands. Being able to hold his partner close to him is a must for intercourse. He 100% uses those fingers to his advantage. 🤭

C - Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)

Let's get one thing straight. Wally may have been an 80s jock and a bully, but he treats his lady RIGHT. He is not cumming anywhere but inside her, condom or not. With her permission, of course. He would never disrespect his lady by painting her with his cum like a common whore. #gentleman

D - Dirty secret (pretty self-explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)

I don't think he has any, to be honest. I feel like he'd be very open and honest with his partner about what he likes/ is willing to do.

E - Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)

This man has been dead for 40 years... He's got experience. For those saying, "Well, he hasn't had anyone to practice with," the man probably found a way to fulfill his needs.

F - Favorite position (this goes without saying)

Missionary. Easy. Wally is a sensitive, romantic soul. He loves and craves intimacy, which missionary gives. He's the type of person to look into his partners eyes as they reach climax.

G - Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)

Goofy, he's a silly goofy boy. It's a very intimate act, so he'll try and lighten the mood if it's your first time to make you more comfortable.

H - Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)

He's got a little stubble. C'mon, guys, he's been stuck in school for 40 years. There's not much to work with. But he does try his best to keep it well managed.

I - Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)

Like I said before, this man is a GENTLEMAN. He will not cum before you, and will make sure you cum at least twice before he does. He will definitely hold you as close to him as possible when he cums. Giving kisses to your body as you come down from your high, and giving encouraging words/praise the whole time.

J - Jack off (masturbation headcanon)

He's been trapped in high school for 40 years. There's no way that someone hasn't caught him "relieving himself" at some point. He'll definitely jack off to a polaroid of you.

K - Kink (one or more of their kinks)

Overstimulation. He loves to make his partner cum multiple times. It gives him a sense of accomplishment and pride that he made his partner feel so good.

L - Location (favorite places to do the do)

Wally is not picky. He will take you anywhere you let him. The gym, the football field, the cafeteria, the hallway during passing period. If you say yes, this man is taking FULL advantage of that consent.

M - Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)

Anything and everything. This man LOVES you with all his heart. Anything you do turns him on. If you even breathe the same air as him, he gets hard.

N - No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)

I think the only thing that he wouldn't do would be anything that disrespects or hurts his partner.

O - Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)

He likes giving and receiving, but he prefers giving. He loves to feel the way his partner shakes and loves hearing their whines as he makes them cum.

P - Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)

He'll go at whatever pace you ask, but if he's in a particular mood, girl, you better hold tf on because he's gonna take you to pound town.

Q - Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)

Yes. The answer is yes. He will take you anywhere any chance he can get it. He loves to be intimate with his partner, mostly to let everyone know that they belong to him.

R - Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)

He usually likes to keep it simple, but if you ask him, I'm sure he won't mind trying something new. He would definitely take the risk of a pregnancy just to feel himself filling you up and marking you in a primal way that only HE can.

S - Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)

Oh honey, this man can go forever. That man is a big boy athlete and can go on, and on, and on, WELL after you've finished.

T - Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)

He'd probably use a vibrator on his partners clit while he ruts deep into them, maximizing their pleasure and his. He loves to hear the whimpers that you'd make, it just eggs him on even more.

U - Unfair (how much they like to tease)

Oh, he's a tease. Wally will edge you until you BEG for him to make you cum, drawing out your pleasure just to make you fucking EXPLODE. And he'll do it with a smile on his face.

V - Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)

Loud. Loud Asf. He wants the world to know how good you make him feel, and he'll let you know, too. He'll tell you things like, "fuckk, you're doing so good, baby." "Keep going, just like that," and so on.

W - Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)

Your first time with him is very romantic, he's got a bed set up, there's flowers and music, the whole package. There's nothing he won't do to make you feel comfortable.

X - X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

Big boy. Big, big boy. I'm saying like 7-8 inches. He's both a grower AND a shower. He's 6 inches soft, which you can tell from the scenes with him wearing sweatpants.

Y - Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)

Like I said before, if he's horny, he'll let you know. And then he'll go until you tell him to stop. Wally LOVES you and is NOT afraid to let anyone and everyone know.

Z - Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)

It depends on how long you let him go for, but he'll usually hold you close to him and rub your back until you fall asleep. He's a protector, so he won't sleep until he knows you're safe.

Lake Day Shenanigans

Lake day shenanigans

Drabble Flashback Pt.5

~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~

The lake was freezing.

Y/N had been saying it the entire drive up. The entire hike down to the water. The entire time Wally was dragging her toward the dock.

And now, standing at the edge, toes curled over the sun-warmed wood, she was positive of it.

“I swear, Clark,” she warned, arms crossed, “if you push me in, I will haunt you.”

Wally, already chest-deep in the lake, grinned up at her. “Oh, come on.”

“No.”

“You’re gonna be hot and miserable all day.”

“That’s fine.”

He rolled his eyes. “Y/N.”

“Wally.”

A beat. Then—

“You’re scared.”

She scoffed. “I am not.”

“Then jump in.”

She glared. “I hate you.”

“No, you don’t.”

She groaned, running a hand through her hair. The dock creaked beneath her as she debated her options.

1. Stay dry, but deal with Wally’s relentless teasing for the rest of the summer.

2. Jump in, probably freeze to death, but shut him up.

Neither was ideal.

But the way he was smirking… Yeah. She couldn’t let him win.

“Fine,” she muttered.

And before she could second-guess herself, she jumped.

Cold slammed into her, stealing the air from her lungs. She resurfaced with a gasp, pushing her hair from her face.

“Oh my God—”

Wally was cackling.

“It’s not funny!” she wheezed, still adjusting to the shock.

“It’s hilarious,” he corrected, paddling closer.

“You’re dead.”

“Oh yeah?” His grin widened. “What are you gonna do about it?”

She lunged.

Water splashed everywhere as she grabbed him, shoving him under.

Wally came up coughing, shaking water from his hair. “Okay—truce, truce!”

She smirked, floating lazily on her back. “Thought so.”

He nudged her with his foot. “You’re the worst.”

“No, you’re the worst.”

Silence settled between them, broken only by the gentle ripple of the water. The sun was warm against their faces, the lake stretching wide and endless around them.

Wally glanced at her. “Admit it. You’re glad you jumped in.”

She sighed dramatically. “I guess it’s not that bad.”

He grinned, nudging her again. “Told you.”

And for once, she let him have the last word.

It had been three days.

Three days since I ended it.

Three days since I watched Wally’s face fall, since I turned my back and closed the door, since I walked away.

So why did it still feel like I couldn’t breathe?

I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, the quiet of my room pressing in around me. Everything felt off.

The world kept moving—people went to class, the football team practiced, the cheerleaders rehearsed their routines—but I felt like I was stuck.

Like I was waiting for something.

Something that wasn’t coming.

My chest tightened. No. You did the right thing.

Didn’t I?

I had seen him. Seen him outside the diner with that girl, his hands on her shoulders, her leaning into him, looking up at him like he was the only person in the world.

It looked bad. It felt awful.

But the way Wally had looked at me when I confronted him—

Like he was devastated. Like he was shattered.

Like he was telling the truth.

My stomach twisted, memories of his words circling in my head.

"Y/N, you know me. You know I would never do that to you."

But I hadn’t known. At least, not enough to stay.

I pressed the heels of my palms against my eyes, trying to push back the lump rising in my throat.

Was I wrong?

I didn’t want to be. If I was wrong, that meant I had just—

I had just destroyed us for nothing.

A sudden knock at my window made me flinch.

My heart lurched as I turned, half-expecting—hoping—to see Wally standing outside like he had so many nights before.

But it was just the wind.

I let out a shaky breath, pressing a hand to my chest.

He wasn’t coming.

Not this time.

Because I was the one who left.

And maybe—just maybe—I was the one who needed to fix it.

Drabble Flashback Pt.12

~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~ ☆ ♡ ° ~

Wally Clark had faced a lot of nerve-wracking moments in his life—big football games, pop quizzes he definitely hadn’t studied for, that one time he wiped out in front of the entire cafeteria.

But this?

This was worse.

Because this was Y/N.

And he was about to ask her to Homecoming.

The thing was, they’d been circling each other for months. Hanging out, talking on the phone late into the night, getting just close enough that people started assuming they were together.

But they weren’t.

Not yet.

And Wally was done waiting around.

So here he was, pacing in the empty hallway outside her last class, trying not to psych himself out before she came through that door.

“Dude, just ask her.”

Wally spun around to see one of his teammates, Scott, leaning against the lockers, looking way too amused.

“I am,” Wally hissed.

“Are you? ‘Cause it kinda looks like you’re trying to figure out how to fake your own death instead.”

Wally scowled. “Shut up.”

Scott held up his hands in surrender. “Hey, just saying. Everyone knows she likes you.”

His stomach did a weird flip. “You don’t know that.”

Scott rolled his eyes. “Whatever, man. Good luck.”

Before Wally could respond, the classroom door swung open, and students spilled out into the hallway.

And then—there she was.

Y/N, looking effortlessly cool in that way she always did, her bag slung over one shoulder, flipping through her notebook with a small furrow in her brow.

His heart slammed against his ribs.

He took a deep breath, stepped forward, and—

“Oh,” she said, looking up. “Hey, Wally.”

Say words.

Any words.

“You like dances, right?” he blurted.

She blinked. “Uh. I guess?”

“Cool,” he said. “Cool, cool, cool.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Are you okay?”

No. Absolutely not.

But he cleared his throat and forced himself to get it together.

“So, uh… Homecoming is next week.”

She nodded slowly. “I’m aware.”

“And, uh…” He scratched the back of his neck. “I was thinking maybe you’d wanna go. With me. As, y’know, more than just two people who happen to be in the same place at the same time.”

She tilted her head. “Are you asking me as a date?”

“...Yes?”

Her lips twitched. “That sounded very confident.”

“I am confident,” he shot back, folding his arms. “Super confident.”

Y/N hummed, pretending to think it over.

Wally felt like he was dying.

Then, finally, she grinned. “Yeah, Clark. I’ll go to Homecoming with you.”

The relief hit him so hard he almost sagged against the lockers. Instead, he kept his cool.

Barely.

“Great,” he said, trying not to sound too excited. “It’s a date.”

“It is,” she agreed, still smirking. “Now, let’s see if you survive actually dancing.”

He groaned. “I knew you were gonna bring that up.”

She laughed, linking her arm through his as they started walking.

And Wally couldn’t stop grinning the whole way down the hall.

Because finally—finally—this was happening.

And Homecoming?

That was just the beginning.

The gym was packed, pulsing with music, the air thick with the scent of sweat, cheap punch, and way too much cologne. The decorations—streamers, fairy lights, and a questionable amount of glitter—did their best to make the place feel magical, but Wally barely noticed any of it.

Because Y/N was standing in front of him, looking stunning.

Not that she didn’t always look good—because damn—but tonight? Tonight, she was on a whole other level.

He’d spent the whole night dancing with her, making her laugh, watching the way her eyes lit up under the glow of the lights. Every second, every little glance, every touch that lingered a little too long had been building up to this.

Now, the dance was winding down, and they had slipped outside, away from the crowd, into the cool night air. The muffled bass of the music still thumped from inside, but out here, it was quiet. Just the two of them under the dim glow of the parking lot lights.

“You’re not as bad at dancing as you said you were,” Y/N teased, swaying slightly in place.

Wally huffed a laugh. “That’s because I was holding back.”

“Oh, really?” She smirked. “Guess I’ll have to see the full performance someday.”

He grinned, taking a step closer. “Maybe.”

They were close now, the space between them barely there, his heart hammering in his chest.

She glanced up at him through her lashes, her usual confidence flickering into something softer, more hesitant. “Wally…”

“Yeah?” His voice was quieter now.

She swallowed, then let out a small breath, like she was working up the nerve to say something. But instead of words, she just… looked at him.

And suddenly, finally, he knew.

He reached up, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Her breath hitched.

“I’m gonna kiss you now,” he murmured.

Her lips parted slightly, and for a second, he thought she might tease him—call him out for stating the obvious. But instead, she just whispered, “Okay.”

So he did.

The first press of their lips was soft, tentative, but the moment she sighed against him, he was gone. His hands found her waist, pulling her in just enough to feel the warmth of her against him. She responded instantly, fingers curling into the fabric of his suit jacket.

It wasn’t rushed, wasn’t hurried—it was slow, warm, something real.

When they finally pulled away, she let out a breathless little laugh. “Took you long enough.”

He chuckled, resting his forehead against hers. “Worth the wait?”

She grinned. “Definitely.”

And with that, he kissed her again—because now that he’d started, there was no way he was stopping anytime soon.
