In case you don't know: If you buy sterling silver jewelry, it does need to be polished to remove tarnish.
This brought to you by just seeing a YouTube short from someone saying her wedding earrings weren't worth the money because the sterling silver is tarnished, and she isn't sure how to clean it.
You can either buy silver jewelry polish and bust out a clean toothbrush, or you can take it to a jeweler or jewelry counter, and they'll likely clean it for free or a small fee.
Also, these were Tiffany earrings she was saying weren't worth it, and while I have a good laugh at how tacky Tiffany's truly is, their quality cannot be questioned.
Just, if you buy something fancy, make sure you know any care rules so that you don't think you got hosed when you didn't.
Totally obsessed with these 1920's Austrian Neo-Gothic/Art Nouveau Bronze Bat Lamps.

NEW ADDITION: THE GUNTLETS!! OH THOSE GEMS ROCK!
That's actual metal fillagree work on the tips!
There's just so much effort in the details, I want to appreciate them completely. Get the fires of creation inspired and excited.
Ghouls! I need your help figuring out these costumes!
I need as many fresh references as possible to these 2 outfits so I can start recreating a *version* of them for my partner and I for July.
I gather these are some fairly basic Skeletons, and what appears to be an Edwardian/Victorian top hat on the ghoul. I freaking love the bat/butterfly (batterfly) wings on the ghoulette.
(I'm sorry, I'm terrible and didn't Reaserch band lore. That will change.) Are these the normal Ghoul masks, or are these new iterations?
Being larger and apron bellied, I'll probably wear a skirt or something sheer over my bodsuit to feel less. . . . Bodily.
Greatful for suggestions for Hotfix gems and how to build the Ghoulette's hat?
I feel really sorry for goths who don’t live anywhere with an actual, in-person goth scene because that means all they get of other goths is Internet people being stupid. No one at in-person events is debating the precise definition of goth, quizzing you to see how many bands you’ve heard of, or calling you a poser for wearing a Tom Waits shirt instead of a Bauhaus shirt. That’s Internet nonsense right there. People just assume that, if you’re at a show, you probably like at least one of the bands performing and, even if you haven’t heard of any of them, you’re curious enough to support them, coming out to support little bands is good! And I’ve yet to come across a band say to someone, “sorry, you don’t like these specific bands or weren’t in the scene for more than x years, so I’m not going to let you buy any of my merch.” Most of them are happy to have the support, no matter how involved you are. Another plus: because most shows have smaller, newer bands and most DJ nights play newer bands as well (well, depends on the DJ and usually it’s a mix, but I digress), you won’t run into people who think that bands who started after 1985 don’t count.
sometimes i feel like im climing up this incline again alone but thankully sisypus and the itsy bitsy spider and here with me
