for the global strike, I painted a scene from pre-Nakba Palestine with the colors of the Palestinian flag. from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
here is the reference photo I used, which I downloaded from the Palestine Photo Project. it is a view of Bethlehem in 1945.

πͺ Its quite the claim to make, I know, but these cookies are so yummy and Iβve done them many times with great success. If youβre really feeling creative, last Halloween instead of using chocolate chips I used chopped up Halloween candy (smarties, MnMs, Reeseβs, Aero, ect) and it was AWESOME! But canβt beat a classic, right?
πͺ Ingredients:
1 cup butter (melt it and let it cool for ~10 minutes)
1ΒΌ cup brown sugar
Β½ cup white sugar
1 egg (room temperature)
1Β½ tsp vanilla extract
2ΒΎ cup flour
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
ΒΎ tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips (or more, if you want)
πͺ How to make it:
Combine butter, brown sugar and white sugar in a bowl. Add the egg and vanilla extract.
In separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt.
Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet, and make sure all flour is mixed in.
Allow to chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (longer is fine)
Scoop cookie dough into balls, adding chocolate chips, and place onto lined baking sheet.
Space cookies about 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
Bake at 350β° for 11 minutes.
You will likely have to do multiple pans because of the required spacing, but ensure the cookies can cook for at least 10 minutes before removing them from the pan.
πͺ Notes:
When the 11 minutes is up, they look soft. Like REALLY soft. But believe me, thatβs correct. Just donβt handle them before the 10 minutes is up, because they might melt on the cooling rack or in your hands. They stay soft for a few days, but only if they donβt get eaten first. Happy Baking!
16 frame shooting star animation. January 2022-September 2024 Needlepoint
Frames from my shooting star gif. 16 frames total. Each frame is 8x6.5 inches on a 10β mesh. Designed and animated in photoshop and needlepointed by me. I started drafting this 1/14/22 and finished animating it 9/25/24. It took approximately two years and eight months to finish. This is one of the largest projects Iβve ever worked on and Iβm very happy with how it turned out.
