What song(s) remind you of Frit?

Oooh my goodness, where do I start. Being a shipper for almost 2 years and seeing so much great Frit content has given me a few ‘inspiration’ songs and themes and I absolutely love them, so ready yourself cuz this will be a long list.

🎵The first one that comes to mind is “I Know I’m a Wolf”, by Young Heretics (I’m still working on that songfic). The theme of this stronger-ish creature hunting down and wanting to be with this weaker being despite their background, at least that’s the theme I get when I listen to it, makes me think of Hit trying to convince Frost to trust him, that he can ‘protect him’ despite the rest of the world wanting him dead.

🎶“Devil’s Backbone”, The Civil Wars. If this won’t give Frit vibes, I don’t know what will. I would say this would be from Hit’s POV towards Frost, but it can be taken as either side.

🎵“I Feel it Coming”, The Weeknd ft. Draft Punk. This one sounds like something they would get it on to. The feeling of lust, trust, longing and patience for their partner. Either that or also something that would play in the background when Frost tries to break Hit out of a prison facility, partner/lover in crime style.

🎶 I always liked “Easier Tonight,” Matt Wertz as a sort of wedding song for them. Like a whole fic or moment of their wedding, from the moment the ceremony begins, to when Frost comes up the aisle, to the vows and kiss, this would be playing in the background. The lyrics of  “Though I’ve always known the words to say every other time, I just wish the words came easier tonight” make me think of Hit’s stoic and usual tough personality, for once breaking at seeing the love of his life willing to marry and spend the rest of their lives together.

🎵  Another one, thanks to @friku8706, is “Little Do you Know,” Alex & Sierra. It’s nice and soothe sounding enough but somehow Frit feelings take over whenever I try to listen to it. Maybe the theme of love and comfort just clicks me with the ship.

🎶 Almost by accident, “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, 8 out of 10 times remind me of Frit and for two reason. One, this art piece by @anilecrose, and if some remember, we expanded on one AU prompt a while back about Hit getting with Frieza as a sort of blackmail by Frieza hurting Frost in the process, and because he still loves and wants to be with Frost, tries to apologize in a heartwarming gesture, like leading him to a flower garden-like place surrounded by photos and memories they shared together, reminding him they still have so much more to go for and he won’t give up on him. This would be a song to set the theme, but it would end with Frost rejecting him out of fear of being hurt again. I still think about that prompt from time to time. Maybe one day it’ll be morphed into a complete fic or one-shot, who knows.

🎵  Now let’s get angsty. Back when Frost was erased, I found “Still Here” by Digital Daggers, and felt it from Hit’s perspective after having his partner gone. Feeling the sorrow, grief and longing even after the event, staying up late at night with the haunting feeling of what he could have done different to save him, to protect him, then maybe he wouldn’t be lying in his bed alone..

🎶 And lastly, “Never Be the Same”, Red. This one is more based on an AU we made after Frost’s erasure on what if when Frost was brought back, being erased under different circumstances than everyone else, would have had his memories erased, and basically brought back as a new person, so he wouldn’t remember who Hit is or any of their times together (whether they were together or not would be up to the reader). Which reminds me, I need to complete the songfic for this one too.

I’m so sorry it took me so long… I don’t even know if you still follow me, but I hope you do… and I hope this was worth the unreasonably long wait. Please let me know if you like it haha XD This one is a little shorter than usual just because of time, but… I think it’s okay for the length? I also made Frost a little more loving at the end. My Frit fics tend to be kind of one-sided, with Hit being in love while Frost is still unsure, but with this one I just felt like hinting that maybe Frost loves him as well. I still made it kind of subtle though… I think that works best. For my style of Frit anyway lol. Anyway, I hope you like it!
